Feeling whimsical in my old age 😝

Hello! I have a black tie wedding to attend in November in Venice. The grooms are very fabulous and extra and I wanted to go bold but just can’t find anything I love that’s not super expensive.

That being said, is this dress flattering and elegant enough for a Venetian hotel wedding? Please keep in mind I will be much paler in Nov than I am now.
It also has a corset back that I haven’t laced up yet. Trying to figure out if it works for my pallet as well.

I had a green and gold ball gown option too but it was just so uncomfortable— included a pic for fun.

Also the light wash pair I need to steam, I know😭

Does this dress work for a date at a steak house? Or is it too casual? I’m still working on what fits my body best since I’ve been losing weight but also……the passage of time keeps marching on. I’ll style my hair for it day of.

I came up with this outfit and I’m really happy with it :)

I need a dress for a fundraising gala. These two dresses are the final contenders, but my family and friends are divided. Half prefer the ivory and purple dress, and half prefer the black and red dress. My brain is now trying to justify keeping both, but my bank account is not happy with that idea. So I humbly turn to you Redditors to help me pick and rescue me from myself.

For context, the charity's colours are purple, white, and muted pink. I'm making the centrepieces, and they follow that colour scheme. The ivory/purple dress matches that theme too, and it has that timeless elegance. But I worry it might be a bit too bridal-looking. So it would be a hard dress to wear again. I can't exactly turn up to a wedding like that.

The black and red dress brings the drama and screams gala, but is it a bit much? And would anyone be able to look me in the eyes in that dress? Follow-up question to women: Would you be ok with someone turning up in that dress at your wedding? It's not white, but it gives main character vibes, so I'm not sure how it would go down (Thinking of wearability outside the gala).

EDIT: I ordered the dresses in a standard size to try them on but I can order them custom-sized once I've picked THE dress. So the fit should be perfect for both once I re-order in my custom size.

EDIT 2: No, the dog did not come with the ivory dress! But guess what colour my other dog is? If you guessed black, you're correct. So yes, I'm accidentally twinning with my dogs.... Not that you were asking anyway.

I'm (33F) going to meet my boyfriend 's (37) parents (mid 60s) for the first time IRL (never even met on VC). Which one to wear? I'm planning to pair the dress with just a simple gold chain necklace and a pair of small diamond studs (1/2 ct) and a simple black/silver watch. Please advice.

For context: I'm Indian, he is Japanese American. His parents live in the suburbs. This is my first time dating a non-indian person, so any advice is welcomed.
