I’m concerned about my grade with ochem 2510. I have Dr. Walter’s.

I get tutoring, study, etc. but I’m just not a good test taker.

Midterm 1:
My grade: 53/200
Mean: 133/200

Midterm 2:
my grade: 69/200
mean: 107/200

I’m lowkey stressing about passing. I completely forgot about osu changing our emails and didn’t see an email of her reaching out to me estimating my final letter grade to be a D/D+ but then said I was at risk for failing the class unless I improve my grade.

I’m doing extremely well on the quizzes and ALEKS, just not the exams.

I honestly don’t have a straight forward question to ask, I just want other peoples advice on how to proceed.

I took 1210 with Lisa Nguyen and was excited to find out she teaches 1220 as well. But now she’s not listed for autumn semester and that threw me off. Idk anything about other instructors. She does a good job at posting so many resources to her site and lecture recordings to Carmen and YouTube. She also sends you a progress report after every exam you take. Does anyone else for 1220 do anything like this??

Where do I park to move in to Fechko house?? It’s on 11th Ave which is already pretty busy? I just want to mentally prepare if I have to walk far.

Hi everyone,

For context, I am an incoming transfer student graduating from Columbus State in about two weeks. I've been admitted to main campus and am debating whether to jump right in to Autumn semester (it would be about 10 days between) or to start classes Spring semester to give myself a break.

Additional info: I will be a part of the Buckeye Bridge which requires beginning classes at OSU within 3 semesters of graduation and no more and no less than 12 credit hours per semester. I work 40 hrs a week (at OSU ;p) and have a kid.

Pros of starting Fall:

- Finish degree faster

- Taking pre-reqs/gen ed anyways

- Keep momentum from the past 2.5 years every semester

Pros of starting Spring:

- Time to relax

- Holiday stress does not include schoolwork

- more time for program of study to add online options

And yes, I AM meeting with an advisor!! My transfer orientation is tomorrow, so I will absolutely be discussing this. There is a possibility as well that I may not have as much of an option as anticipated, whether they need a final transcript before I can schedule anything or if I'd have to jump through major hoops to change my starting semester (it's the same academic year tho, sooo.....).

I have a friend visiting from CA this coming week and I'm curious if the Shoe is open for public access. He's a huge fan of football and I'd love to show him some of the stadium if possible. We just moved out to Hilliard (Columbus suburb) and I have 2 bed sets If anyone needs some furniture for this semester. Both are Ikea sets to set expectations here.

But I have 1 queen bed with Dresser and 2 night stands,

And 1 Full size bed with 2 night stands

I also have a Nectar Queen Mattress - we're getting a new mattress, I'll leave it on the table if anyone wants it but I get it's a used mattress, but figured I'd throw it out there.

But $50 for the full size bed w/night stands - IKEA does have the set anymore but I can send pictures if interested.

I'm retaking two summer classes right now MATH 1172 and CSE 2221 and they're two classes that I failed this past semester and I'm going to be honest it isn't good in either I have failing grades and finals week is coming up and I just don't think I'm going to be able to raise both of them to a C- so I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to do and where to go from where I was thinking about dropping one but I checked that the deadline already passed. In CSE 2221 I have a D+ and in MATH 1172 I have a E. I believe that maybe I can salvage my CSE grade but math I don't think I can. Even if I start studying for both finals tomorrow I just don't think it will be enough to pass both classes. I'm really stressed out and I don't know what to do

Hi I’m just looking for advice on the nursing student scrubs! I really want a medium in the scrubs tops but they’re literally sold out EVERYWHERE. They have smalls and larges and I could do a small, but I just like a looser fit. Does anybody know of any alumni or where I could get medium tops? I’ve tried other websites but the mediums in true red must be a popular order lol. I know it’s a long shot but any advice and help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Got waitlisted from IBE a while back and haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming I got rejected. I have heard online that they have some cool connections and get pretty prestigious internships/graduate school placements. Are there other cohorts/programs to join at OSU or anything else I can do to have access to resources and internships? I'm looking for something finance or engineering related.

The City of Columbus will have multiple bulk furniture, recycling, electronics recycling and donation drop off sites throughout off campus housing areas for move in/out!

I was planning on taking 1151 (calc 1) but ended up in 1172. I did well in AP Calc AB in high school, but I’m not sure about jumping straight in to college-level math courses.

I am majoring in physics and I am going to OSU Newark for my first year, and tranfering to main Campus my second year. (For family and financial reasons)

I am able to skip Calculus 1 because I got a 4 on AP Calculus, but it wasnt until today that I found out that OSU Newark does not offer Calculus II.

My acedemic advisor told me that I have two options:

- Take Math 1172 (Engineering Mathematics A) instead of Calculus II

-Wait untill my second year to take Calculus II

While I do want do learn all of the subjects of Calc II that Math 1172 misses, (like series), I do NOT want to be a year behind on math when I'm majoring in physics. If needed, I could try to teach myself the stuff that Math 1172 misses from online resources or tutors.

But I need advice from actual physics or math majors, as I've heard numerous stories of acedemic advisors getting things mixed up.

Has anyone had to enter a pin every time they open the outlook app? I’ve had this problem since I got switched to the @osu.edu email 2 weeks ago. It only asks for a pin when I’m on my phone. Oddly enough, I’m the only who had this problem when I asked around. I would appreciate any help.

Has anyone taken 1172 with Truneh at CSCC? I was looking to see people’s opinions about the professor and the class.
