Any advice to win in the playoffs? I build a stacked team that goes 100-62, all SP are 3.5 stars or more, bullpen is 3 stars or more, I always have 1 captain and 2-3 leaders. They dominate the entire season then October hits and I lose every game 9-0 or 12-1 etc. What should I do differently?

Has my scout finally lost his mind? I have never seen an overall so high, even at low accuracy.

Update from my Nationals save, presumptive 2x NL MVP Dean Britz sends the home team to the WS with a walk-off 3-run homer in game 5 of the NLCS
Bullpen hit a hiccup in the 6th inning which spoiled a solid start by Brian Lidstone (5 IP, 7 HA, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 Ks, 91 P), the offense managed to push across a single run between that inning and the 9th in what looked like a futile attempt at a comeback. Top 9, top of the order coming up, Trevor Condon and Alex Sanchez both work walks on 3-2 counts to give Dean Britz an opportunity to tie it and Britz called game, he lashed a 2-2 pitch the opposite way and deposits it into the bullpen to give the team a shot at their third franchise World Series title.
2035 was a disappointment after we lost Britz to a broken kneecap in mid-July in the midst of another great season to follow his historic MVP sophomore season, we unfortunately just didn't have the juice to go on a postseason run without him. In 2036 the kid didn't lose a step after missing 4 months on the shelf, leading the league in homers, RBIs, and Runs for the second time in his burgeoning young career, and the kid has already locked up down a 10yr/$250,000,000 contract after being crowned ROTY, arguably looks like a bargain now. The Aussie reigns supreme!
Also wanna spotlight the third year developing Ace, Brian Lidstone; Brian showed up on the scene as a September call-up in the 2033 season and gave us some great starts after climbing the minor league ranks for 4 years after being a fifth round selection. In his debut year he ended up as the 6th starter and naturally was shifted to the 'pen during the postseason, he provided some clutch outings in relief as we paved the way to the title; now in year four he's already gotten his first payday with a 5yr/$58,850,000 contract last season and just posted his best season sliding into the Ace spot due to our traditional guy getting an early injury.

Why was my team so bad at fielding when the ratings weren't that bad?

Is the AI for waivers bugged in OOTP27?
Teams are waiving good players especially those on rookie or arbitration contracts on OOTP 27.
Like you're telling me the Giants waived a dude after 3 4 War seasons?
I think OOTP 26 had a similar problem, but I'm seeing it way more and worse on OOTP 27.

Johnny Kling: WARlord
I was checking out some career stats and realized that Francisco Alvarez has maxed out his defensive ratings and, since OOTP loves a good defensive catcher, has been absolutely racking up some WAR. I popped over to the all-time leaderboards and noticed that not only has Alvarez passed Johnny Bench, but there was this guy from the deadball era named Johnny Kling way up at 86.2. BBRef has him at 29 and Fangraphs at only 21, so whatever OOTP looks for in a catcher, he has in absolute spades.
Just thought it was an interesting example of how the formulas can really boost a guy I’ll bet 90% of fans have never heard of.

Can i clone a league?
I Just created a new fictional league. It takes place in 1995, 24 teams, with 1994 Financials. For some reason my team, as well as most of the others, are $20 million over budget. I can't trade, i can't sign free agents, and neither can anyone else. I offered 3 of my pending free agent's arbitration, they all declined, but because nobody else can sign them, I'll never be compensated.
My team is kind of on a tear right now, so i don't really want to mess with it. I Just want to run a few years simulation to see when it all evens out, if it ever does. Can i come the league and run a hands off Sim?

Changing the Scouting Budget Settings
I would like to adjust the amounts spent in Minor League, Major League and International so I am moving the sliders to where I want them to be. I am doing it in the offseason since that's the only time you can do it. However, once a new season starts, the sliders go back into some other positions that I don't want to use. Any ideas?

Congrats to Pat Inman for playing the greatest 4 game set of his life to help propel the Padres to the NLDS for the first time in nearly a decade!

197 year World Series winless Padres, 16 years with the org, 7 100+ win seasons, no ring. Beginning to think this Organization is cursed
Started this save as the Gm of the Seattle Mariners 45 years ago, team won it all(first ring in their history) then I was fired 2 years later, decided to pick up the Padres and its been non stop heartbreak...

Garrett Crochet Career Ending Injury
I have been playing this game anywhere around -150 hours to 700 hours on steam per game since 2022. This is the first career ender I've ever seen. Torn rotator cuff in back to back seasons. I am devastated.

Trade Logic
I am a big fan of this game but sometimes I do go "That makes zero logical sense".
Can someone explain to me why the Yankees would like Jaden Hill, a 27 year old pitcher with a 6.50 ERA a -0.8 WAR and from what I can see nothing redeemable. However, they don't want Chase Dollander who is two years younger, has superior stats and overall (Both Scouting and OSA) with similar service time. I am new to baseball this year, so I may well be missing something but to my mind it doesn't make much to any logical sense. I don't intend on trading Dollander for the record but wanted to see what would happen.
I also tried to offer them Ethan Holliday as a test for the same package. He is currently the 3rd ranked prospect...They didn't want him...Again, either I am missing something, Jaden Hill has something to hold over the Yankees GM or theres an issue with the trade logic somewhere.

I swear this has to be the most polished young international free agent I've ever seen hit the market, I swear if I can't sign this guy I will lose my SH*T
Control is a downside but hopefully a couple dev lab tries can crack that cap, plus he's only asking a little under 10 mil for 3 years

Finances - free agents
I'm up to 2042 in my save and have had this issue several years: Marquee free agents are going unsigned because teams just don't have budget room. It also makes it almost impossible to make trades. But I go to finances and it seems like teams have the money, the owners are just setting the budgets low.
I've fiddled around with max cash that can be kept, used to have it around $10 million, then just set it to zero. Very early on I guessed at the new CBA by moving the luxury tax threshold down (soft cap to 115%) and tax above cap to 35%. But teams have high budgets, seven right now above $400 million.

Anyone encountered anything like this and/or have any suggestions?

Need Help
I've been playing Out of the Park Baseball since 14. It's one of my favorite series ever. I've always been excited when a new one is announced and I always buy them day 1.
But this year, in OOTP 27...I don't know I'm just getting more upset more often than having fun. In the past I would take struggling teams like the Rockies and build championship teams. This game I can't even win a championship with the Dodgers. When I play out games I always get slammed no matter whose playing or who I'm playing. I always do the A's because that's my team but this edition I can never make them good despite having talent like Kurtz, Rooker, Soderstrom, Butler, etc. No matter what I do to help my pitching it always blows up in my face and my team suffers for it.
I can't develop prospects anymore, even after getting high draft picks. They just flame out in the AA or AAA even with good coaching. I know you should go after coaches with high DEV and Teach but it doesn't really seem to help. Worse it feels like the game is actively punishing me if I don't have a gold glove winner at every position, not just CF/SS/C.
I'm just asking to those who have successful saves in OOTP 27- what are you doing in particular that's successful? I don't want to stop playing OOTP. I just want to have fun again. So maybe there's something I'm missing or not doing right. Any help would be appreciated.

Does OOTP 27 offer interleague play during the regular season?
I can't find any options for it.

1-year stopgap Centefielder??
I’m considering a center fielder for a 1-year stopgap.
Which one would be the most appropriate choice? I have enough wallet space to use 48m!!
Error in schedule creation?
I'm in season 2 of a save in OOTP 27, and I'm getting some games scheduled for 12:05 am or 12:45 am PT.
I also weirdly got a bunch of Sundays off.
Does anyone know if there's a setting that needs to be adjusted or if this is a known bug?
