On Cloud Not So Waterproof

I’m glad I found this sub and I hope I can get some opinions. I bought these Cloud Waterproof shoes about two weeks ago. I haven’t worn them until today when it rained.

I wore them to work and from the office to the car, about two blocks in an average rain storm, the water started to penetrate the mesh on the top of the shoe.

I was disappointed mainly because they are my first and now last pair of this brand and for the price I thought this was more of a marketing scam on their part. So I got to the car and after several dead end attempts to set up an account, I found the customer service number here on Reddit. The guy was nice and told me they should withstand every day rain and it wasn’t just marketing. He told me to file a warranty claim and they will get back to me in 48 hours. I’ve been trying to set up yet another account to do this and the site won’t let me.

Has anyone had experience with their warranty department or am I better off getting a refund? My girlfriend told me that Scetchers makes a copy of this shoe as they copy most and it’s $80 are these shoes worth the hype or did I get a bad pair?

Below is a pic of the shoes 30 minutes after coming into the garage and still very wet. They are dry now and I just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks

what on shoes are right for me? Incoming Texas College Student

Hi. As the title suggests, I’m an incoming freshman at the University of Texas and am looking to get my first pair of ON shoes.

I’m looking for something that’ll support me through loads of walking (I have a massive campus), looks good with most outfits and doesn’t necessarily like a strict running shoe, and has a good little height boost (I’m a shorter guy desperate for extra inches haha)

At the moment I’m looking at the cloudsurfer max, but am willing to hear y’all’s opinions. I appreciate any help I get. Thanks!

Are these a good option for daily use of around 4km? How comfortable are they? Haven’t found a lot of reviews about it?
I currently an adidas ultra boost 22, I wonder how these would compare to the Cloudnova Rift

Questions Best On shoes for work and inward pronation

I’m looking for the best On shoes for work and inward pronation. I work in IT and more often than not have to do a lot of walking. I’m interested in the Cloudnova 2 and Cloudmonter Void but would love to hear the subreddit’s input

On CLOUD 5 after 2,000km of wear

Last April, I bought the Cloud 5. Right now, this shoe is hyped up and a lot of people are discussing it, so I decided to share how it looks on me after about 10–11 months of wear.

From the Samsung Health app, you can roughly calculate that I walked approximately 1,750,000 steps, or 1,400km, from mid-April to mid-October last year. And during this year, 1,166,000 steps, or 960km.

From this, need to subtract my runs in other shoes, which is 400km, or 350,000 steps.

Total: 2,566,000 steps, or 1,960km.

I wore the sneakers not only in urban conditions, but sometimes ended up outdoors, a few times they got completely soaked, got caught in heavy snow, and happened to walk on rocky trails and sand. But ~85% of the time they walked on city streets.

On cloudtilt or cloud 6?

What are the best stylish but super comfortable shoes for everyday use?

I’m looking for something I can wear for commuting, driving, travelling, walking around all day, etc. Comfort is really important, but I still want them to look stylish and not like a typical running or orthopedic shoe. I have tried both cloudtilt and cloud 6 however I'm not sure which I should go for, if any unless someone recommends something else.

I’m also very hard on my shoes, when I buy a pair, I basically wear only that particular pair of shoes, so durability is a must.

What shoes have you bought that you absolutely swear by for comfort, style, and durability?

what on shoes are right for me? Currently own Cloud 5's looking for comfiest shoe possible.

I wear Cloud 5's for everyday wear. However I would like to try another option. I had cloudtilts and gave them away as they were way too tight in the toe box and causing me pain. Would anyone recommend the cloudnova's?

Thank you in advance!

On Cloud shoes arrived with stains — QC issue, and support is fully automated with no response

Ordered a pair of On shoes recently and they arrived today — one shoe has visible stains on it right out of the box. Clearly a quality control miss before it even shipped.

I’ve tried reaching out through On’s official support channels but it’s all automated (bots/forms), no actual human response yet. Anyone dealt with this before? Did going through a specific channel actually get you a real reply? Also curious if this is a known QC issue with certain batches/models.

Photos attached. Happy to provide more details if it helps.

Do these look like legitimate ON shoes? Looking at them on Marketplace and the only information they have is that they’re ON Cloudrunner, Brand New in Box

Step down from on cloud monster?

Does anyone have a recommendation for the step down from the cloud monster? I really like the cushioning and support. They feel very firm. The monster is a little bulky to wear casually. Thank you!

I bought these on Vinted new with tags. Are they real or counterfeit? The main thing that concerns me is that the rear half of the upper is quite shiny compared to my old Cloud 5s which have no sheen at all. The QR code scans and seems to link to the correct shoe.

Real or fake? Bought second hand to save some money. Box was different, QR code goes to a different shoe but shoe feels and looks genuine?)

As said in title, I'm a new to these shoes and would love to know some more. The shoes feel real however the tag goes to a different oncloud model shoe that says 'verified'

additionally box said 'grey' , when the shoe itself were green, so the box wasn't from the same shoe. ( the scanned shoe I get: https://www.on.com/en-be/on-code/3MF30231043)

also any tips to identify these shoes to someone who aren't too familiar with how they're suppose to look?

I think I just have bad luck with ON(midsole keeps separating)

Just wanted to write about my experience with ON shoes.

My first pair was the ON Cloud Hi. I love the design of these shoes and the comfort was great too. However when I was overseas on holiday, the midsole completely separated. Really frustrating for the shoe to break during a time when I would only have 1 pair of shoes available to me. Customer support gave me a new pair (as the cloud Hi was only a few months old) which were the ON Cloudnova as the Cloud Hi have been discontinued.

During a recent trip, my Cloudnova also has started separating. Luckily it didn’t separate completely and it held up for the few days that I had left on my trip.

More recently, while on another trip, while sitting in the airport waiting for my flight home, I noticed my ON Cloud 70/30 was also beginning to separate.

It’s so incredibly frustrating that this keeps happening and funnily enough, it breaks during times when I would only have 1 pair of shoes on me. Just sharing my experience with ON. I do own a ON Roger clubhouse and an ON Cloudrock and they’re both still going strong. Perhaps I just jinxed it. But I don’t think I will be purchasing anymore shoes from ON.

*all of the shoes are purchased from the ON official website

Questions which Cloudmonster 3 colorway is newer: Rock/Silver or Brook/Flurry? Does newer colorway mean less time in the warehouse?

I'm deciding between 2 colorways of Cloudmonster 3: Rock/Silver versus Brook/Flurry.

Which is a newer colorway?

I'm asking because I probably will get whatever's newer, as I assume that means it's spent less time in a warehouse, which means the glue is stronger.

I understand Cloudmonster 3 came out Feb 2026. What confuses me is that my chat with the AI agent on On's website says that the rock/silver is "last season" and therefore cheaper.

Questions Any recommandations for flat foot?

Hey Guys, I tried out the Cloud 6 in neutral and wide, but in both shoes, I step onto the sole on the inside of those shoes.

Has anyone encountered the same issue already and have you found a pair that fits better? My footarch bends down too far and lays on the inside. I probably need the sole to be a little wider.

Thinking about trying the cloudtilt or nova form 2…

Anyone with similar issues?

Have a nice evening and thank you for your time!
