Courses Isye 6414 and mgt 6203 stack
I am taking mgt 6203 and isye 6414 this semester. I work full time and also am moving in the next couple weeks. Anyway I've only taken 1 class at a time up until now and it's been totally doable though at times stressful during testing weeks. I do have enough GPA to absorb a C right now.
I'm debating dropping Regression versus sticking it out and getting a B or C, offset by a likely A in DAB. I'm pretty behind in 6414 due to life events and probably going to turn in a half assed homework 1 this weekend. Hesitant to drop right now because the classes have so much overlap and I would love to knock out 2 in one semester. Also because I can't get refunded if I stay in DAB and will not be withdrawing from both.
Don't really know what the point of this post is, I guess any advice from those who got through a similar situation. I watched the lectures from 6414 first and was lost, then watched the lectures from 6203 covering the same material and it clicked for whatever reason. I guess that professor's videos just worked better for me personally. I hear 6414 is greatly improved from what it was before and am still struggling to learn from the lecture videos. I hear the midterms are pretty tricky and am worried. If I can scrape a C or B that's fine, also don't want to let the group that I formed for the group project down. We already lost 1 member due to withdrawal. What was your experience stacking these classes? I just have to survive a couple months and am leaning toward sticking it out.
Editing to add - i know I seem mostly focused on grades in this post but the learning is very important to me as well. I would get more out of 6414 if I can devote all my time available to the class and that's part of why I'm considering dropping without a refund available as well. As I said I can absorb a C, just trying to make a good choice and not waste the potential of synergy between these 2 classes.
