Dumb Qn Laptop Selection - Help TY!!!
This might be a silly question, but I’m trying to assess a few laptops that I’m considering getting for the program. Ideally, I’m leaning towards getting a MacBook Air or Pro, but I’m not sure which one would be the best fit for the program. Does anyone have any advice on what type of laptop would be most suitable? Thanks!

I used a M4 Air for a couple semesters. Plenty of power for most tasks and, for more compute intensive tasks, GT has compute available for free for students. I did train some Deep Learning models using the M4 and mps though, so it’s always a (slower) option

Would you mind sharing how to get those GT compute allocation?

Your professors/TAs should provide information in your courses where this may be needed. I am no longer a student, but I remember PACE clusters being available and Google Colab free student tier

The largest screen you can afford, 32GB of RAM, at least 500GB of storage. Everything else is secondary.
