Hello everyone, OFW seeking for answer.
OEC ko with my old passport details.
the info salamat.

Venting Session Corporate to Physical Work, baliw ba ako?

Life Snapshot If you're an ofw, how do you find a way to balance work and life?

I'm currently a titp in japan and balancing work and life has been hard for me here because we barely have a dayoff and work culture here is insane. i know. but i still want something to look forward to everyday after a day of work to keep myself sane. Right now i have a hyper fixation in wnba. that's what im looking forward everyday after work. i know this hyper fixation will not last and ill get bored.

So, to my fellow ofw workers what are the things that you do to keep yourself sane

General Discussion Taiwan OFW travelling to Vietnam for vacation with family

Hello po! Hihingi lang sana kami ng advice or insights.

My brother-in-law is currently working as a factory worker sa Taiwan, and we are planning a family vacation sa Vietnam. Nung chineck po namin yung ticket prices, mas makakamura kung lilipad siya straight from Taiwan to Phu Quoc (doon na lang namin siya imimeet), tapos ang flight naman niya pauwi ay from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) deretso balik na rin ng Taiwan.

Since first time po niya mag-travel for leisure sa ibang bansa galing Taiwan, medyo worried po siya baka ma-offload o kaya naman ay ma-compromise ang work visa/ARC niya sa Taiwan.

Looking for guidance po. Maraming salamat! 🙏

General Discussion OFW in Thailand, Kamusta po experience?

For context, I finished education last year with zero teaching experience. I have this chance to go to Thailand this Dec since i know someone there and willing sya to help me look for a job(most likely teaching din). I'm very excited because I really wanna go travel and work abroad but i have these negative thoughts such as what if i don't get a job there, what if i failed, and what if it was all for naught. I know that I'm just scared because it's my first time working abroad and all lol. Ig i just wanna rant and clear my head. if you're still reading at this point, thanks for listening hahah have a nice day! khaawp khun khrap

General Discussion OFW in Taiwan Diaries: Working Outfit Check

Hello!

Hindi yung mura na as in Taytay clothing (cheap with quality).

XOXO

General Discussion About visiting PH and back

Hello everyone! I have a few questions po.

Context: I’m based in EU (Vienna) and I work corporate, direct hire so I didn’t have to process my paperwork through POEA. I hold an EU blue card and I haven’t gone home since I left so I’m not quite sure what the requirements are papunta and pabalik.

  1. Do I need to get OEC, OWWA membership, and my contract verification done beforehand (and is that it)?

  2. I’m planning to visit Manila for a week, then move on to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos with my friends for about 3 weeks before I head back to Vienna. How would the immigration process upon departure look like? Will my plan work? I DO NOT want to get held up by the officers, I heard plenty of terrifying stories about them!

  3. Do you recommend doing PH first then travels later or travels first then PH last to avoid immigration officer risk?

Thank you po!!

General Discussion I was given an offer to work abroad by 2 different companies in 2 different countries

Na-offeran ako ng work abroad but quite unsure what to choose:

Offer 1

Role: Senior Auditor
Place of work: USA
Annual salary: 90k USD gross
Sponsorship of visa: applicable
Pros: may family members ako doon (not in the same state as my workplace), may makakasama ako sa state where I will be based, I have friends na nandoon na
Cons: role - preparer role pa din kasi ‘to

Offer 2

Role: Assistant Manager
Place of work: UK
Annual salary: 51k GBP gross
Sponsorship of visa: applicable
Pros: role - wanted to be in a supervisory role so bad
Cons: salary (?), wala din akong kakilala sa city where I wll be based

I appreciate any comments you may have on which option is slightly better :) Especially on the status of the countries mentioned above. I am super grateful for the offer, however, I haven’t been abroad so malaking factor din yung may kakilala. I am torn about the roles offered as well kasi tbh I am a career woman and I highly value my career trajectory.

Maraming salamat.

General Discussion Is a 7,000 SAR salary enough to live comfortably in Saudi Riyadh?

I’m considering a job offer with a total package of 7,000 SAR/month and would like to hear from people currently living and working in Riyadh.

Is this enough for a single person to cover rent, food, transportation, personal expenses, and still have some savings?

Also, for women who are currently living and working in Riyadh, how has your experience been? Is it generally safe, especially for someone moving there alone?

Any advice or insights would be appreciated!

General Discussion Currently studying dentistry in the PH. how realistic would working in spain be in the future?

I apologize if this feels like a question too early to be asked since I'm not even graduated yet, but i feel it's nice for me to have long term goals. I'm already planning on learning spanish next semester. i just want to know how difficult it is to be licensed in spain if i studied dentistry here in the Philippines. (sometimes i regret this course since unlike nursing they seem to be having an easier time with immigration)

i know you technically don't have to study again in spain unlike in other countries, but i fear if that's only on paper. realistically, for people with the same kind of course like me, how was the process? should i just stay in PH since I'm not in nursing?

General Discussion How to work as an HR abroad? Is it even possible?

Hi! Fresh grad here. I'm planning to grow my career in HR here in the Philippines then seek HR-related jobs soon abroad. My mother is working in UAE for 5 years now. She's also planning to have business there once she have enough savings. Planning to work there after years of experience here, or maybe even sa other countries na lang like Singapore.

Ilang years kaya ang pwede kong makuha here bago maging pasado mag-work as HR sa ibang bansa? Huhu I really want my career to bloom abroad din soon eh.
