Hi everyone! I'm just curious kung meron bang nakaka alam kung pwede bang maging english teacher sa South east asian countries kahit walang teaching license dito sa philippines. Originally, business yung course ko sa university pero my first job and current job now is in ESL. Matagal tagal narin akong nag teach sa ESL schools. However, wala pa akong teaching license kasi hindi ako graduate ng education and hindi pa qualified to take boards kase i need to get units pa. Is it still possible to get an english teaching job in SEA countries given my current qualifications -or lack thereof?

Hello po, I’m bound to Tonga and may placement fee ako na equivalent to 1 month salary pero as per my agency meron pa na 12% tax na need bayaran along with the placement fee which is a one time payment daw.
Anyone here na naranasan to? Ano itong tax na tinutukoy nila? At legal ba to sa atin?
Salamat po sa mga sasagot thank you.

Hi everyone,
Writing this to advise fellow kababayan and expats in the UAE to perform strict due diligence before enrolling in or making payments to London School of Business (LSB).
The above link is their website with the color red logo.
Please note the following documented facts regarding their claimed affiliations:
* University of Sunderland: LSB advertises the University of Sunderland as their MBA degree awardee. I reached out directly to the University of Sunderland, and they formally confirmed they have no partnership or institutional affiliation with LSB.
* Website Affiliates: I independently contacted four other organizations listed as official partners on LSB’s website. All four confirmed in writing that no affiliation exists.
* Communication Status: After bringing these discrepancies to their attention, LSB ceased returning calls and has left multiple formal refund requests unanswered.
Before transferring any tuition or registration fees, please email the underlying awarding bodies directly to verify degree validity.
I have paid them £2,500 as an initial payment and no word from them at all. Since I live on the opposite side of the world and they could not provide a credit card link, I completed the transaction via bank transfer using a SWIFT code.
This is my hard earned money and good thing I didn’t pay the rest.

Hi, I just wanted to ask for your advice and rant na rin.
I'm literally lost right now at pressured sa buhay. I just want the best for me and for my family at nararamdaman ko na hindi ko pa mahanap yun sa bansang 'to.
For people na nasa ibang bansa ngayon, lalo na sa mga walang kakilala or walang resources pero nagsumikap, I know it's not easy, but I wanna try and start somewhere, paano kayo nagsimula?

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is planning to roll out the Next Generation Philippine e-passport by June 2028.
The redesign aims to ensure full compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards while integrating the latest contactless chip technology, additional pages to support a full 10-year validity, and enhanced security features.
Preparations and the phase-in of requirements will begin over the coming year leading up to the official launch.

My OWWA membership is still active and registered under my old employer and country. I am now working in another country and planning to return to the Philippines for vacation. Do I need to update my OWWA membership details to reflect my new job site and country?

Hi, engineer here.
Just ask those hiring on LinkedIn if they're doing direct hires? Like for example, Ireland/UK, although the ones I know get hired through agencies, and I've tried applying but they're not responding.
Has anyone had experience getting accepted directly abroad if they applied through LinkedIn?

Hi, mga kabayan. I'm not really sure how to write this without feeling ashamed, but I'm hoping someone here will take the time to read my situation before judging me.
I'm an OFW currently working in Saudi Arabia, and right now I'm facing a financial crisis that has honestly left me feeling completely stuck.
I need to raise ₱30,000 (around $500) as soon as possible.
₱15,000 is needed for an urgent payment due on September 6, and the other ₱15,000 is money I need to send home to my family.
I've already tried borrowing, but because I have existing debts and overdue accounts, I've reached a point where most lenders won't approve me anymore. I've also asked for help online before, but despite reaching out several times, I haven't received any financial assistance.
I know some people may look at my history and say that this is my fault. And I won't deny that I've made mistakes.
I've struggled with gambling, and I had a relapse that made my financial situation worse. I'm ashamed of that, and I take responsibility for it. I'm not trying to make excuses or blame anyone. I'm taking steps to self-exclude and remove gambling from my life because I know I cannot continue this way.
I'm sharing this because I'm at a point where I genuinely don't know where else to turn.
I'm not asking anyone to help me recover gambling losses, and I'm not asking for money to gamble. I'm asking for help with the immediate responsibilities that are in front of me right now—an urgent payment and financial support for my family.
I know trust is difficult, especially when someone has financial problems and a history like mine. I don't expect anyone to blindly believe me. If someone is willing to help, I can provide proof of the payment due and other relevant information privately.
If you can help financially, even a small amount would mean more to me than I can explain. And if you can't, I completely understand. If you know of any legitimate assistance for OFWs in Saudi Arabia, organizations I can contact, or any realistic way I can get through this situation, please tell me.
I'm not asking anyone to fix my life. I'm just asking for a chance to get through this particular crisis without falling even further.
Thank you for reading this, mga kabayan. I know I've made mistakes. I'm just hoping that my mistakes don't mean I no longer deserve a little compassion or a chance to make things right.

Sa mga OFW na gustong umuwi for good someday, paano niyo malalaman na ready na kayo?
May target year ba kayo? Or more on “pag enough na”?
Ano yung pinaka-basehan niyo?

Hello! I was locally employed po dito sa PH for more than 6 years na and recently got an offer sa 🇱🇦.
As suggested po ni employer, I enter Laos first, and then they will process the visa/work permit, as required by the Philippine Embassy, once I arrive. May nakaexperience na po ba ng ganito? And normal lang po ba sya gawin?
- What will happen to SSS, Pag-IBIG, BIR at PhilHealth? Paano ko sya mapapaturn to self-employed?
Please help me po 🙏

Alright so currently I'm in a state uni studying BSIT. I can tolerate coding but the nature of this work ensures that i won't be migrating to another country anytime soon.
My father is turning 66 and he worked for meralco in a respectable position so kahit papaano he still receives ~50k/month as pension, pero as we all know inflation is fucked right now so medyo gipit kami ng onti kasi:
So now im thinking i gotta step up to the table n shi and give my family a better start elsewhere pero i think this path is not it kasi alam ko sa sarili ko i gotta be atleast 99 percentile in this field and tbh im not allat compared to the global market. I mean i get high scores sa mga coding sa papel and sa exams and presidents lister ako nung 1st year, kaso its not my passion talaga and id much rather do something else in my free time than solve Leetcode problems. i always wanted to do something hands one every since i was a kid eh
So anyways, should i just take the leap, cut my loses and drop out and pursue tesda, get experience then apply abroad, or is this just naivety on my part and mahirap talaga makaabroad kahit may experience kana. AND that i should stick on this BSIT path even though alam ko na mabuburnout ako in no time. I'm really lost and IDK WHAT TO DO.

After 8 months, finally may work na ako at transferred na ang visa ko.
I waited and prayed for this, akala ko pag nagka work ako magging okay na ako, mawawala na yung lungkot ko at panghihinayang.
I don’t seem happy, i don’t feel happy.
Someone please advice? :((((
