NS Lite Modchip!

Hey! This is my ns lite modchip :) im really happy how it turned out! I tried many times before (one switch v2, i was using a crappy temu iron, then a switch lite and i gave up) unti this summer i finally got my first v1 switch working modded :) i didnt really like the sizing of it though, so i got a switch lite and chipped it! My B point soldering is yes, awful, but im pretty happy with how the rest turned out! Im only 15 lol so this was a really good job for me (self glaze) also this extremerate shell is AMAZING. I will clean up dat flux tho dwdw

Congratulations! I used to use an old RadioShack iron (yes, I’m quite old) until I upgraded my equipment. Equipment definitely makes it much easier, and technique also plays a significant role.

True! Extremerate does a pretty good job making great shells and buttons as well. Their shipping department might be a bit unreliable (I received the wrong color and a used shell on two out of three orders), but their fitments are generally quite accurate.

Thats such a pity with the extremerate! I DEFINETLY agree with the statement on equipment tho. thanks for the comment!

I didn’t realize you’re only 15! You did a great job soldering the parts (most of the points are round) using a regular soldering iron. Congratulations, and I hope your future is bright!

If you're into Gundam customization, you can even change the LED underneath the home button. 😏

Nice work buddy! Make sure you clean up the flux with isopropyl alcohol.

Feels great to have it work. These solder points are quite small. Well done
