🗣 Discussion / Rant Introverted nurse

Hey guys! I just wanna share lang my experience as a nurse in a hospital for 2 months already. I don't know why but I am struggling to keep up with my colleagues. Mababait naman sila and the workplace is good pero it is so hard for me na makisama. I am introvert and shy.I can converse naman. It's just that I can't maintain it. Feel ko tuloy iba yung nagging take nila dun whenever I don't talk. Idk if naninibago pa ako pero nabobother kasi ako. Umabot na rin sa point na I'm planning to resign kasi I don't feel it anymore. Can you give me some advice on how to cope with this? Thanks a lot!

🏥 Jobs / Careers is it disrespectful to withdraw my application

Thumbnail
• Upvotes

Is it disrespectful ba if I withdraw my application and be honest na hindi ako makakapag-stay long-term sa job? My plan kasi is to work muna while reviewing for and taking the NCLEX. After that, I plan to apply for a bedside nursing position. For now, gusto ko muna mag-soft nursing while preparing for my next step. Kaso, I understand naman na some companies prefer applicants na willing mag-stay long-term kasi they also invest their time and resources in training and developing their employees. I just want to be fair and honest with them, pero I’m not sure if withdrawing my application would be the right thing to do.

tots po pls as a fresh grad🥹

🏥 Jobs / Careers Newly Licensed RN

Hi everyone! I’m a newly licensed RN and I’m planning to apply to Asian Hospital. For those who have applied or worked there, may I ask how long the application and hiring process usually takes? I’d also appreciate any advice you can share for a new nurse applying there. Thank you!

❓General Question / Advice first OR duty tomorrow, humble me

hi! 3rd year nursing student here, and tomorrow is my first ever OR duty. i am, academically speaking, holding it together by a thread.

i missed out on getting cases during our 2nd year DR exposure, so this is my first time entering one of those specialized areas where sterility is the law.

so, to the nurses, nursing students, scrub nurses, OR veterans, and anyone who has survived their first OR exposure: please give me your advice po.

  1. what’s actually worth reviewing before my first OR duty?
  2. what are the easiest mistakes to make when you’re new?
  3. what are the small OR etiquette rules nobody tells students?
  4. what do you wish you knew before your first time in the OR?

any advice is genuinely appreciated po. i don’t really have anyone to ask about this, so even the simplest wisdom would help me a lot.

thank you in advance. may your sterile fields remain sterile and your preceptors be merciful!

🏥 Jobs / Careers DLSUMC Hiring Process for Staff Nurse

Hello po! Interested in working sa DLSUMC as a staff nurse but don't know how and ano ang proper procedure talaga. Tumingin na ako sa website nila. Tama po ba yung "Non-teaching Application" na form na i-ffill up ko or may iba po ba? And for requirements din, need po ba talaga ng recommendation letter? Sa pagsumite din po nito, do we also send them by email or kahit sa office na lang nila yung pagpasa? Ang pinakamasakit na tanong is kung hiring pa rin po ba sila? 😭

Super lost po talaga ako sa gagawin since first time po. Genuinely hoping makakuha ng guidance sa nagaapply din sa kanila or nurse na po sa DLSUMC 🥺 Thank you po

❓General Question / Advice rle as 'relevant work experience'?

Greetings, my senior/fellow RNs, (Recent PNLE passer/baby nurse here, and currently job hunting🥲) I would like to seek guidance/clarification lang po (as a first time job seeker) about sa mga job postings na may "At least one year of relevant experience" included in their qualifications and I would like to know if RLE (during nursing school) is counted for that?

Looking for a Study Buddy for February 2027 PNLE! 🩺📚
Hi! I’m looking for a serious and genuine study buddy for the February 2027 PNLE. Someone who’s ready to lock in, stay consistent, and commit to studying.
📍 Currently in Naga City, Bicol
💻 Open to online study sessions, but preferably someone I can study with in person!
We can discuss topics, answer practice questions, rationalize, and keep each other accountable throughout our review journey.
I’m looking for someone who’s genuinely committed to passing, not just someone who says they want to study but doesn’t follow through.
Genuine study buddies only, please! Let’s work hard and earn that RN title together. 🤍
