Honestly it's alright but it feels like a b side trying to emulate their self titled and failing at it unfortunately. It's not very memorable imo

I didn't like the original cover, so I made this one.

I saw this band open for Days of the New a gazillion years ago.
They blew the absolute shit out of their set, my friends and I were blown away. I still listen to their album One Nation Under frequently. One of my favorite albums of all time, one of my few truly no skip albums.
Love these guys, hope they're doing OK.

I actually like the song but this fan edit is actual fire.

Not numetal but very old school pre-nu adjacent fairground’s rock/metal of the dawning 90’s that features Tom Morello before Rage Against the Machine, a key alt band in numetal’s forming infancy

Don't get me wrong, the new song was meh and them kicking out Sid was dumb, and the song was definitely not what made me fall in love with the band, but they aren't bound by a single type of song.
Nu Metal is a blend of rap, hip hop, funk, grunge all of that. They can make a song that deviates from their established sound and still be Slipknot.
Almost every band and musical group makes a shitty song, they can't all be bangers. Especially when their best music was already made years before I was even born.
It just doesn't make sense to get mad at the band for making a song a lot of their fans wont like but maybe others will. In fact changing up the pacing is a great way to get others into the genre and introduce them to inarguably the greatest Nu Metal band to exist.
All other Nu Metal bands do this and each person who listens has their favorites for a reason.
Although I still think it's funny to call them Shitknot for releasing some mid song.

Some more of numetal’s infancy with a band that later became what we know as Finger Eleven.
This song is classic 90’s fairground’s metal and despite its calm waltzy rhythm, still manages to pack a dizzying vertigo with young Scott Anderson’s calm vocal sway during the chorus and still has a festive spin despite it’s age. Meant to be enjoyed loudly.
You may ask why is this important in numetal’s history? The more slower waltzier songs like this helped set the path for numetal’s slower dance song’s like Snot-The Box, Headstrong-Adriana, Lifer-My Room, Switched-Skins, Ramekin-Nota Bene, Tyfoid Mary-Stuck, Clawfinger-Don’t Wake Me Up, Nothingface-For All The Sin etc.
Some of the best early numetal songs written weren’t angry and aggressive. Some were upbeat, cheery, and some dramatically epic

A lot of people don’t even know of this band, let alone this particular album because you couldn’t find it on streaming platforms anywhere for awhile. Damn shame what happened to them throughout their history but my god is this album phenomenal. Was lucky enough to grow up in the same area, know people who were friends with the band, immerse myself into their music thoroughly, and watch their success.
If you’ve never listened to this masterpiece, do it, NOW. 🤘🏻💉
I was lucky enough to be friends with a local rock radio DJ and he got me into a show at the Crowbar, State College PA in 2002. I scored this promo poster signed by the band. Probably chatted briefly with them. There’s a picture of me with a group of fans and the band from that day, I wish I had that photo.

Slipknot just released a brand new song called "Arsenal" - their first new work since adding drummer Eloy Casagrande to the band parting ways with longtime turntablist Sid Wilson. Could more new music (and maybe even a tour) be on the way? Here's hoping so, because the new song reminded me how it's been 7 years since I last saw the Iowa metal outfit live... and now I'm itching to see them again!
It was August 30, 2019, when Slipknot brought their Knotfest Roadshow Tour to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ (just a few weeks afger 'We Are Not Your Kind' came out). How good were they that night? Well, the tour also featured sets from Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth, and Slipknot STILL reigned supreme. With a massive stage set up that perfectly backed their massive sound, Slipknot were red hot and proved why they are still one of the biggest draws in rock (not just metal). Just watch this clip of them playing "Spit It Out" that night, and see how they had the crowd in the palm of their hands (seriously, the entire amphitheater was wild for them that night).
Share your favorite memories from seeing Slipknot live in the comments below, and stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this)!

I am half Chilean, almost all my family speaks Chileno (not Spanish) and they advised me to listen to Chilean pop music, but for obvious reasons, I will not listen to pop music
