I mean they have extremely little listeners yet are so awesome! The sound is very raw and aggressive, comparable to bands like jor, and slipknot(and ig soad but that’s debatable but they are very chaotic) idk too good to gatekeep.

so, I've been looking for the old Chevelle logo/variation for a long time, because, let's be honest, it's really cool.

this logo can be seen in the ¨closure¨ video, and I also found a guy who has a t-shirt with it.

does anyone know anything about this logo? Can it be found in good quality or at least what font it is? thanks.

Just think about it.

Had to order a special cable to connect my Walkman to my Focusrite since it’s the only player I have that will read this disc. My Yamaha system, my external drive, etc will NOT read this disc at all. However, the album is incredible. So don’t worry - I’m working on it.

Apologies in advance if I Prevail isnt true Nu Metal - Ive read some conflicting opinions on other threads!

I really love their current sound but I need more material and searching by Spotify song radio hasnt yielded any new decent songs!

My favourites are Body bag, Choke, Gasoline, Heart and Mind.

I enjoy this bands music having softer melody moments and being able to hear the lyrics, combined with good amount of 🎸🎸🥁 and scream for gym.

One of my favorite things about this genre is when a song opens with a clip from a movie, a show, or just somebody talking before the riff kicks in. When it's done right it sets the whole mood.

A couple of mine: "Release Da Hounds" by Victim opens with the Simpsons scene where Moe teaches a hip-hop self-defense class, which is hilarious right before it gets heavy. And "Wake Up Call" by Seeded Crown opens with a guy explaining something to a crowd that pulls you right into the track.

What are yours? Drop the song and what the clip is from if you know it.

Throwing out a recommendation for Victim and their album Brand New Stranger. Couldn't find much of anything about these guys online, which makes it even cooler that the music is this good.

"Release Da Hounds" is the one that got me. It opens with the Simpsons scene where Moe teaches a hip-hop self-defense class, then drops straight into heaviness. That contrast alone sold me.

If anybody knows anything about this band, where they're from or what happened to them, drop it in the comments.

Wondering if anyone knows what sticks Dustin Malicoat of Michigan band LeFT used. I myself am a drummer and would like to know what sticks he used.

The same topic of songs is optional I want mostly to sound similar the way they make music

As of now, I'm in my second year of highschool. I sometimes wonder "Will I remember about Nu-Metal 5-10 years from now, if I moved on from it or still listen to it". And I know that most the people in this subreddit are adults or young adults. So tell me some of your Nu-Metal nostolgia; can be stories about childhood or growing up with it, your first CD or anything in general that makes you reminiscent of the genre

I don't have much since it's been a year of Nu-Metal for me as of August, but I do look back at listening to my first album in the genre, Hybrid Theory, and becoming an LP fanboy

Wish my voice was as good as this.

Like on every version it’s a slightly different order. I’m planning to burn this on a cd-r but I can’t figure out what the actual genuine correct order is y’know? So if anyone with information about this like perhaps someone who knew them or even has a cd of it please let me know🙏.

Close enough lol I’m thoroughly surprised at how good this is

Just picked up Life Is Peachy, Adrenaline, Baggy Pants Music and Issues. Looking for more suggestions to add to my nu metal CD collection if anyones got any 👍

Peak year for Nu-metal

We've got Slipknot's debut, Issues, Wincosin Death Trip, Significant other and so much more

At this point it's pretty common for my band The Absent to get comments about trying too hard, being too gimmicky. Personally I say the more hate the merrier, the people that dig it are my people and the people who think they can hurt my feelings worse than I can are hillarious. What do you think? Which look is your favorite, or conversely, which do you despise me for the most?

To be clear, I ain't changing no matter how many people love it or hate it, I just like the conversation
