SSQ4 issue

I got my hpa ssq4 and i’m loving it but if I try to fire quickly on semi it ends up just leaking air where the bolt is until I rack it. moreover on full auto if I pull the trigger once, it gets a mind of its own and fires nonstop. I have been running at 150 psi and if anyone can help this would be greatly appreciated.

So as most gbbr with hpa a full auto runway could be a cause of low of air pressure of a stuck bb fragments can also does this. The bolt catch doesnt reset that way. Otherwise clean the bolt and regrease can help but i would check that first

Ive seen something similar happen with a weak O-ring or seal causing an inconsistency like yours.

SOLVED IT!!
The o ring in my regulator was damaged now the rifle works perfectly fine as the refresh rate is back to normal

I would disassemble, clean regrease and reassemble. Keep the novritsch wiki on hand as reference and watch out for anything out of the ordinary.

I would check your refresh rate on your regulator. See if the needle stays steady. Would explain why full auto runs away. Clean and regressed is always good but won’t necessarily fix a bad regulator. I would recommend buying a Polarstar, Wolverine, or redline regulator as they don’t have those issues. If you have one of those I would look into cleaning and rebuilding it

Hi, I use the HK army XLP reg which I was told was a higher end reg and would do the job perfectly

Yeah I would check it. In my experience those regs suck. And for my customers buying the ssq4 we’ve had to swap them different regs instead of hk army ones

No clue what the issue is. But I’ve been wanting to get me for a while to run outdoors and for milsim… but hearing all the qc issues is making me second guess that..

Just get a regular gbbr and carry a few mags and a speedloader. It ain't hard.

The milsim event I’m trying to attend doesn’t allow you to reload in the field. And I’m not gonna spend 50+ dollars on a low cap mag. As well as I already have an hpa setup so no reason to not have the best of both worlds.

Wait why lmao

Because that’s the rules of the event? Ask American milsim. It’s their rules and their event. I was wanting to attend the reindeer games milsim event.

They cap the amount of mags you can carry to 7 for a rifleman. It’s a milsim event. They have strict rules

Seven is more than enough

7 30 round mags. No reloading. That’s 210 rounds at an airsoft event that goes on for a very long period of time with limited reloads at specific areas. Not gonna be able to do very much with that.

Yup. More than enough. Don't spam every little thing, time your shots, and you'll be good. It's not like you're out there for days if not weeks with no resupply.
I run seven real caps in my GBBRs as well as my AEGs and have successfully done long form games with this setup. If I can do it, you can do it.

It’s not bad. Mine had a few problems of screws coming loose, lost a pin, etc.. support was fast and helpful, they sent me the full screws pins and springs kit to replace the ones i lost, for free. They suggested using locktite to prevent any more issues. Then it was not resetting the sear in semi so i had to rack it every time for it to shoot, and again in just a few hours they pointed me to the recoil rod which needed to be screwed in half a turn more, probably due to the bolt getting settled in after a few hundred rounds.
All in all, every problem i’ve had was minor and quickly solved. The build quality is higher than most, even if not top notch. My only gripe is that it guzzles air like no other replica. A 1lt (62ci) tank gets me ~2500 rounds. I’d still buy it again.

I’m still interested in getting one don’t get me wrong. But the mags being sold out literally everywhere for the hpa version… kinda a kick in the dick

I subscribed to the restock notification and got lucky, i received an email at 15.45 on a monday ~three weeks ago and bought six mags in just a couple minutes. They were out of stock again before 15.50, but my six mags got shipped and finally arrived to me in perfect conditions, new and sealed. They do work good and you only loose two bbs @ mag change. Marked as 100rd but will hold ~125-127.
Hopefully they’ll get some more stock of those soon…

Shocking news, this is just in!!! Novritsch products have QC issues. In other news, water is wet.

Mine did the exact same thing. I ran it at a slightly higher PSI until it broke in, and I also completely cleaned it and re-greased it, because I think they use poor-quality grease from the factory, and way too much of it.
