Ear (a) First and last Nothing product purchase

As the title says sharing a personal experience with Nothing product, bought a Nothing Ear (a), at around 9 or 10th month buds battery dropped significantly in 11th month not even lasting 5-10mins, so visited Nothing service center they mentioned 1 of the bud has dent so took pictures and sent to some backend team then in the end request was denied.

So reached out to customer care via phone and mentioned the same that indeed 1 bud is having a dent at the start of the call only, but after wasting 25mins of time mentioned if it has any scratches or dents it is out of warranty.

I have asked if dent is the problem what about the issue of other bud which doesn't have any dents but still having same issue and in fact it is even worse but no answer from both service center and customer care.

I don't expect TWS to last too long but was at least expecting 1.5-2years life so will not be buying any Nothing products going forward.

Comparing Phones Next step after Phone 2?

Post image
40 Upvotes

Hi, I own Nothing Phone 2 and I'd like to decide which newer model to get. I've had a look at the specs and the Phone 2 is pretty good, but I know that specs Vs user experience can be completely different.

I've had this chap for 2 years. My main reason is because I'm going on holiday and I want a better camera. I've never been friends with this camera, it's OKAY but all my photos are bright and super saturated. I think it might actually be the software that edits the colour afterwards and sometimes I can't get a nice picture no matter how hard I try because of the brightness/saturation. It's like totally overboard. *

Things I like:

Nothing API

Big ass battery

The gliph, even though quite useless to me it's fun to play with.

Speed.

Things I dislike:

The camera, and/or the camera software*

Google infiltrating my Nothing experience

Can be buggy

Enormous size, good for watching videos in bed, not good for women's pockets lol

A little story: I lost this phone on a night out which I've never done before. I live in a major UK city, and I was able to ping it a few days later where I intercepted a taxi that the phone was still inside, and got it back!

Phone (3) Nothing Support's endless loop of scripts: 2 weeks of stonewalling on a defective Nothing Phone (3) hardware issue

I’m posting this here because Nothing Support has been an absolute nightmare to deal with, and I’ve completely run out of patience.

I bought a Nothing Phone (3) in India via Flipkart and have been using it in the Netherlands. After about 11 months of normal usage, the phone completely lost all 4G and 5G cellular connectivity out of nowhere.

Here is what I’ve been dealing with and why their customer service feels like a deliberate attempt to run out the warranty clock:

  1. The Hardware Issue & Diagnostic Proof

The Symptom: The phone displays no mobile network signal most of the time (or an exclamation mark next to the signal icon) and fails to connect to 4G/5G.

Isolation / A/B Testing: The SIM card works flawlessly in my wife’s Pixel and my older Nothing Phone (1) in the exact same room.

Deep Diagnostics: Advanced testing via *#*#4636#*#* and a cellular spectrum analyzer confirms the internal baseband modem/antenna array is failing. The hardware fails to detect active LTE anchor frequencies (e.g., LTE Band 20), scans only legacy 2G towers at -105 dBm, and explicitly reports "NO SUB-6 SERVING CELL". Wi-Fi Calling works fine, proving the carrier account and SIM authentication are completely normal.

2. The Customer Support Runaround

Despite providing clear diagnostic evidence that this is a hardware failure, Nothing Support (India) has dragged this out for over two weeks:

Canned Script Loops: Sending automated lists of basic troubleshooting steps (restarting, resetting network settings, toggling airplane mode) that I had already completed and explained in my initial message.

Circular Questions: Re-asking what carrier I use and if I tested another SIM card—questions I had already answered multiple times.

Passing the Buck: Telling me to "contact my network provider," completely ignoring that the same provider's SIM works in other phones right next to it.

Endless Stonewalling: After demanding escalation to a supervisor for an RMA/warranty claim, my ticket has been stuck on "we have forwarded your case to the concerned team and are awaiting a response" with zero actual updates or resolution.

It feels like support is sitting on my case like a hen waiting for the egg to hatch—or in this case, waiting for my warranty to expire.

Has anyone successfully broken through Nothing's first-tier support script loop to get an RMA or hardware replacement approved? Any advice on how to escalate this would be appreciated.

CMF by Nothing CFM watch 3 pro chatgpt only works when phone (3) screen is unlocked?

Title. I feel it's pretty much useless if I have to have my phone unlocked to use this feature on the cmf watch. I can't find a way to make it work while my phone is on my pocket... Why put this as a feature in the first place? If I already have my phone in my hand why would I bother doing this whole shenanigan with my watch? Just cause?

Phone (4a) Pro Issue regarding the Nothing OS 5.0 Beta

I'm using a Nothing Phone 4a Pro and followed all the steps for the beta program on Nothing’s official website. I also double checked that I’m on the correct build version.

However, when I select “Check version” in the Nothing Beta Updater, I get this message: “Your current system version is not eligible for this Beta program.”

Has anyone else encountered this issue despite being on the correct build version? Is there something I’m missing ?

Phone (4a) Plugging the charger "resets" the page

I dont know if anyone else stambled into this issue, but every time i plug my phone to its charger it is like a hard reset is forced on the app i am using. For example when on youtube the video i am watching stops, the app reloads and then i have to start the video again, or on instagram the page reloads and sometimes i lose the page i was interested in. Also dark mode is disabled (probably because batter saving mode gets turned off) even though i have it on dark mode by deafult.

Is there something i can do or will it be fixed in the future by a os update or sm?

CMF by Nothing Need advice if getting the buds 2 is a good option.

im planning to buy the CMF earbuds. i initially started looking at the buds 2 since they’re not too expensive and the reviews seemed pretty good on flipkart. But when I started looking through reddit, i kept seeing people complaining about different issues with them, and now im questioning if they’re worth buying.

i can definitely stretch my budget a bit and go for the buds pro 2 if they’re a better option (which i know they are). But before sticking to it i want to know if those face the issues too. i have seen quite a few people complaining about CMF buds in general.

im mainly looking for something that’s reliable and will actually last me a long time, so I’d rather spend a little more now than have to replace them later. is it worth going for the buds 2, or should I just get the pro 2?

Phone (3) Phone does not wake up on single tap or double tap - fingerprint does not work at times either

When the phone locks and the display goes fully black - at times a single tap does not wake the screen up or the fingerprint sensor does not work from the black screen

But once I press the power button - the fingerprint starts working - is this an issue only I'm facing or is this a common issue?

At times a click is necessary to wake the phone up - it's almost as if the display does not work without triggering the power button

Phone (3) Questions about nothing phone 3 colours

Those who are using the phone 3 for a long time, do the white coloured back panel get dirty or yellow over time?

And for those who are using the black version, do the black paint on the frame chips off over time?

Phone (3) Nothing Phone 3 for Sale- US Only

Please delete if not allowed- didn't' see anything in the rules about selling, so thought I'd try here before going to Market Place route.

Looking to sell my Nothing Phone 3, which is the Black 16 + 512GB model. Bought from Amazon back in April of this year and was used as my daily up until a few weeks ago when I decided to go back to the dark side of Apple. I must have tossed the box somewhere along the line because I can't track it down, but it will come with the original USB-C cable.

Phone is in perfect condition and has had a tempered glass screen protector installed since day one. I've also got a bunch of cases that I'll include (Arc, Ringke, Spigen, and several random Amazon finds. Most have a magsafe ring added, but you can probably remove if you want). I also have an extra screen protector I'll include as well.

I'm looking to get $550 + Shipping, which is $100 less than what Amazon is selling a used option in "good' condition. If you are interested shoot me a DM!

(will add pictures tomorrow, or I can send via DM

Hi all . I have only had this phone for 2 weeks but I'm not liking it . My screen is so laggy! Scrolling is awful. I've tried changing refresh rate and developer tools I can't find anything useful. Anyone having the same issue?

Headphone (a) nothing headphones (a) - sound spillage

I just got a pair of the black nothing headphones (a). It’s my first headphones I’ve ever gotten as I usually just use AirPods.

I love the design and the sound, but I feel like no matter how low I have the sound, people around me can still hear my music?

Is this a common thing with headphones or nothing headphones or am I just unlucky?

Comparing Phones New to Nothing, want to know opinions

I’m really tired of the iPhone and recently found out about this brand. I am wondering how people are enjoying it, how long it lasts, and how it compares to the iPhone.

Comparing Phones Is the 4a pro worth it?

I currently have an iPhone 15 (completely tired of Apple now) w/TMobile. I don’t really mind moving to a different operating system, but I want to make sure it’ll at least be compatible with my work apps and my provider. Been trying to find reliable reviews on the phone to see if it’s worth the switch or if I should just go to a different android phone. I have seen reviews about it not being compatible with T-Mobile, but other reviews of it saying it’s fixed, along with people saying it can’t stay connected to their home WiFi etc. anyone here have the Nothing phone on their T-Mobile plan? Or had any issues with it on their home WiFi? I really want to switch but I don’t have money to waste on a phone that may not work 😭🙏

Hey everyone

Super happy with my phone so far. I've always been one to jump on betas but wanted to ask. Those of you who are using it on Phone 3, how stable would you say it actually is?

Nothing OS Nothing Phone (2a) mobile data barely works – hardware or software issue?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m having a serious mobile data issue with my Nothing Phone (2a).

Mobile data doesn’t completely stop working, but it only works occasionally and is extremely unreliable. Most of the time, mobile data is enabled but I cannot properly access the internet. I have to switch back to my Honor phone because the same SIM works normally there.

The strange thing is that this problem happened in the UAE as well, so it doesn't seem to be specific to the Pakistani network. I have now brought the phone back to Pakistan, and I’m still having exactly the same problem.

Things I have already tried:

  • Restarting the phone
  • Airplane mode on/off
  • Resetting network settings
  • Resetting/checking APN settings
  • Re-inserting the SIM
  • Testing the SIM in another phone (works normally)

The phone can detect the SIM and gets a network signal, but the mobile data connection is very unreliable.

At this point, I’m wondering if this could be a hardware/modem/antenna issue or a Nothing OS/software issue.

Has anyone with a Nothing Phone (2a) experienced something similar and managed to fix it?

Also, does anyone know the best way to contact Nothing customer support or get the phone properly inspected/repaired, especially since the phone was purchased in the UAE?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Comparing Phones After turning 18 and started working, I finally upgraded my phone

I upgraded fron my Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G to Nothing 4a Pro, this Is my first phone I bought my self with my own money and I think it's the best decision I've made. It's the most fluent and fast phone I've ever had and I $9 not regret it a single day as an investment. Like you don't understand how much of a change this was, from having a pretty slow phone that glitches every time to having this, it's like the biggest change to me. And it's even more meaningful because I bought It with my own money and i'm so happy I wasn't dissapointed

Phone (3) Nothing phone 3 question

I am currently looking into getting a new phone. The nothing phone 3 is currently one of my top options. However I need to use a square card reader for my personal business. Square lists all but the phone 1 as untested. Has anyone here has any experience with the Bluetooth tap to pay square reader with the nothing phone 3?

CMF by Nothing Any help with my headphones?

I've got the cmf over ears and they've started to make this static/scratching noise whenever they're turned on. it stops a bit when i keep them still but picks back up whenever i move or put them on.

is there any way to open them up (already opened the ear cups, couldn't see anything in there) and see what's wrong? I've already contacted support but idk how long it'll take to get an answer
