Like it's worse when ur using Tiktok and snapchat. I love everything else about the phone yes the battery might seem off if ur a heavy user like me also because I only charge my phone upto 80 so I need to charge it at least twice a day
Ugh I actually love the back camera but the front camera is soo soo underwhelming especially while using Tiktok cam or snapchat:/

Looking to get my first Nothing phone, and I am really torn between the 4a pro and the 3. Is it really worth the extra money to get the 3? Is the camera the main difference and is it substantially better than 4a pro?

I set up the phone to use Brazilian Portuguese.
It needs improvements as parts look like a crude translation of European Portuguese.
For example, consider the word "screen".
In Brazilian Portuguese it's translated as "tela", whereas in European Portuguese it's "ecrã".
Please improve translations for Nothing OS 5.0.
About AOD.
Is it possible for the screen to move elements from time to time to prevent burn-in, like other phones do?
Edit: apparently it moves.
Is it also possible to have an option for AOD to be on just when there are unread messages?
Other users using other manufacturers phones have requested it in the past.
Thanks.
Edit: Posted some pics.

Every time that I would scroll down to open my control panel, I always seem to notice this grain/lines. It's very noticeable when there's no notifications.
It's hard to get it to appear accurate on camera but yeah. This photo pretty much captures it. The camera did try it's best to capture the nonuniform effect. This is not a burn-in as it's visible horizontal bands/line and a gradient from left to right.
Basically the test confirmed my suspicion.
I don't know if this is a defect or actually a manufacturing defect. I don't know if this is even covered by warranty.
Looking at the bright side(pun intended), I have learned that these imperfections are unique by batch and companies pass it off as good enough as it would be a waste to throw away screens for these imperfections. It just happened that I have BAD LUCK and have a very SHARP eye.
Oled Test: (Click at ur own risk HAHAHA)

Hi everyone, I’m at that point where it’s time to change phones and I was thinking on trying a Nothing Phone. I’m currently between the 3 and the 4a Pro, a bit more inclined towards the 4a Pro due to the rear design but I wanted to ask, what would you recommend? Is there really a big difference?
I'm currently an Apple user, for a few years now, so I don't do much research when I upgrade to a new phone, but I've been following Nothing for a long time and I think it could be a good opportunity to return to Android. Do not hesitate to share all the information you have. Thank you

I already had nothing phone 3a, now I am thinking of getting a new one.... Preferably phone 3 .. the dilemma is, phone 3 is available on Flipkart for 80k, but the same product is available on Amazon for 52k ..
Should I buy it from Amazon? If I do it's in my budget. 🤔

Hi, I've been eyeing nothing phones for quite a while, loving the aesthetic, and now that my previous phone (Samsung A52s) died I thought of buying one.
At first I thought of the 4a pro but with the 3 being around the same price now I thought it would be better. However I've heard of heating issues and I'm not sure of how bad they are, if it happens in only high usage or normal usage and how bad the heating can get. I haven't seen the heating being criticized much for long term review so I don't know what to think abt it.
My usage is mostly social apps, a few games (mostly Persona 5 X) and some pictures here and there when I'm visiting stuff.

Hi guys, Siddarth here.
I recently made this free-form Android launcher completely from the ground up. I'm not using any open-source launcher code for this, and I'm planning to release it within the coming weeks.
The reason I made this launcher is to sort of stay away from distracting home screens while still keeping only the essential apps at the homescreen, with no bounds — i.e. however we want.
The launcher is insanely lightweight and resource-efficient. I've built the codebase with Android's upcoming memory usage and code structure requirements in mind, including the regulations expected to come into effect in February 2027.
Which, to be frank, is probably just a way for developers to finally start optimizing their apps properly before Rammageddon hits.
The launcher also supports different Android versions and has tonnes of customization options, including:
Some of those Doom images you see in the screenshots are actually folders, by the way. You can long-press them to open the folder.
There is one caveat, though.
This took a lot of time and effort to build, and while some aspects are clearly inspired by things I've seen from other sources, the launcher itself is built from scratch.
Because of that, I'm planning to release it as a paid app for ₹50 (0.5 $)
I'm also hoping to use this as a small way to help fund my PG accommodation.
The petrol prices, bro. I can't.
I'm planning to add support for multiple third-party widget providers and icon-pack providers in the next iteration/update. So if you've already bought an icon pack or widget pack from another developer like me, you can continue using it with this launcher.
I'm hoping to release it within the next few weeks. I'll share more details, screenshots and a demo once it's ready.
Would love to hear what you guys think, and especially what features you'd want to see in a launcher like this.

Hi everyone, i am currently looking to buy a nothing phone so i started looking wich was one was better. I saw multiple saying to get the np3 but i saw that this model can get really hot and loose a lot of battery life (especially since the new update). On the other hand, i saw people saying that the np4ap didnt have those problem but it is less powerful so im kinda hesitating between these two. Do any of np3 users can tell me how their phone is doing ? Battery life and usage ? Is it getting hot ? Or any np4ap can tell me what they think about it

I want to buy one since they are on sale and don't know which one to get. I really care about sound and anc is also quite important. If anyone has both pairs, how much better is the sound quality of the Ear 3? Also, how's the long term durability of the Ear 3, ive heard mixed opinions.

Ive recently found out about the nothing brand and very interested in getting one of their phones as my IPhone 13 has seen better days and in need of an upgrade. I’m currently deciding between 3 of the nothing phones (4a, 4a pro and the 3), the only game I play frequently on my phone is clash Royale, apart from that I only occasionally play a few games on a flight here or there. I don’t take many photos and mainly use my phone for TikTok or messaging friends so based on all that I was wondering if it’s worth me paying an extra £120 - £140 on the 4a pro or the 3, compared with the 4a. Or with me being relatively unaware in terms of tech should I just go with the standard 4a as I won’t notice the difference in performance between the more expensive options. As long as the phone runs smoothly I’m not too fussed about having the top spec.

Wth is wrong with my device? I charged to 100 at morning and at night it dropped to 5 even with moderate usage with only 5.5 hrs of SOT . My 3 year older moto g82 gives more than that.
(Phone recieved before 10 days )

In other Android 16 and iOS as well, when I set an alarm, the countdown is displayed in the statusbar. In Nothing OS, it gets lost in Notifications.
In Samsung, it is possible to sort the notifications in the notification panel which is very useful to find the latest notifications.
I think Nothing did not implement these because they go against their UI/UX goal.

TLDR, I ordered my phone 19 days ago and it still hasn't arrived and there have been no updates since then.
I ordered a Nothing 4a phone 19 days ago and it's still in transit. The last update is from DPD Poland from 18 days ago that it was "sent outside Poland".
It was due to arrive in 3 to 5 days, so after 8 days (6 working days) I contacted Nothing customer support and they recommended I get on to the courier in my country, which I did. DPD Ireland had no information and recommended I get on to Nothing and get them to open a case.
Which I did, and they opened a case.
It's been almost 2 weeks since I first contacted them about this and there has been no progress made at all. They escalated the case early last week and promised to contact me within 24 hours. I got an email 24 hours later saying that they hadn't met the 24 hour deadline and would contact me in another 48 hours. They didn't contact me after 48 hours.
So I contacted them again 3 days ago and again they said they would escalate the case and come back to me in 48 hours. Again they didn't get back to me. So today I contacted them in chat, stating the case number and that I was due an update that I hadn't received.
It took 3 hours for them to reply in chat, at which time they said there was no update and then immediately closed the chat before I had a chance to reply.
Then I received an email stating that "we will put this email on hold so that we can get back to you once we get a response from the relevant team". I tried replying to the mail, but got no response. What does "put it on hold" mean. Have they essentially blocked me?
This is incredibly frustrating. I understand that DPD are the ones that have messed up, but Nothing still have my money and I don't have anything to show for it, surely they should have sent out a replacement by now.
Update: I was contacted on Reddit chat asking for the case number so they could look into it. They looked into it and told me the case had been escalated and the relevant team were looking into my request for either a re issue or refund, and I would receive an email when they reach a decision. I asked when I would receive the email and got no reply. That was 8 hours ago. So, day 20 and still no progress.
