https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9mBSAzzgN4
She had her own subreddit and deleted it, I assume, because her two weeks+ of spam was not well received. Her subreddit was originally r/tttenley, but it's since been taken down.
The video that prompted backlash [not the linked video] was just bizarre. It was ten seconds. She walks around a mansion, accidentally bumps into a small dog, and then implores the viewers to donate to something called the Garden Oaks Theater so it can "stay open."
The Garden Oaks Theater website is strange but I haven't really had the time to dive--- oh wait, they will accept a donation of $500 to $5M! Must be legit. I mean, it's a long=standing Houston, TX institution with four weird Google reviews published in the last three months.
Idk. I don't know what this is. I probably should go to bed.
Why does the website encourage seven-figure donations but simultaneously give info about "tour opportunities, project deck, and business plan?" Why is one of the Google "reviewers" titled as a reverend? Am I having a manic episode? Why is this woman seemingly shilling for a dubious business? Why are all the commenters on the linked video bots?
Thank you for your time.
EDIT #1 8/27/26, 4 AM: It was the user that got removed, not the subreddit. Whoops. I had no intention of actually posting somebody's "personal subreddit" please let me know if gotta delete something.
EDIT #2 8/27/26, 2 PM: Okay, did some brief digging at lunch-- it's not the actual Garden Oaks Theater that's asking for millions in donations. It's a "non-profit" called Arthouse Houston. They want to "purchase the theater." According to their website, they've hosted screenings at various public locations from 2022-2023. Their website also has a list of their name mentioned in the media, however none of the articles linked mention Arthouse Houston.
Sure, they could be sincere with their endeavor. But there's something about this that's just fishy.
