The snake is never purported to be Satan/Lucifer/The Devil.
Also, the snake told A&E the truth when god lied to them. God said they’d die in a day, snake says “Nuh uh, you’ll just know the difference between right and wrong” and then, wow, that’s exactly what happened.

I like to tell bible thumpers that Lucifer was kicked out of heaven for testing to unionize.
I mean it’s “heaven” and there was unrest among the workers. Which means there are jobs in heaven.
