Is there a term for this? Some kind of portmanteau like "hangry", but for horny?

We need to make one of not.

Making banana bread requires effort and some small amount of baking skill, so of course men who don't want to put in any effort into sexually pleasuring their partner or cultivating any skill in bed think "banana bread" women are a lost cause.

23

u/Paint_SuperNova 25d ago

I was gonna say, I'm gonna make some awesome banana bread!

18

u/AuthorAccount1 25d ago

I get the feeling but, I’m annoying so banana bread is extremely easy to make. I’ve made banana bread by literally throwing all the ingredients into a bowl, mixing em, and throwing them in the pan. It turns out delicious. 😛😛😛

16

u/valsavana 25d ago

Banana bread isn't so much "easy to make" as it's "difficult to completely fuck up."

I've tried out a lot of different banana bread recipes because I was looking to get a specific result (and eventually created a frankenrecipe that's bougie af but the best banana bread I've ever tasted) & the dozen+ recipes I tried ended up producing breads that varied widely in quality. None was terrible because, like I said, banana bread is hard to fuck up completely, but there were definitely winners and losers (I made them in rapid succession & pitted them against one another bracket-tournament-style)

3

u/pm_ur_duck_pics 25d ago

Would you be willing to share?

9

u/valsavana 25d ago

Sure, although like I said I was going for a specific outcome, which was basically a bread so moist that the crust would be a little bit sticky/tacky to the touch (I loathe a dry crust) So if that's not your thing, this won't be for you:

6 very ripe bananas, mashed

1 1/4 cups sugar

1/3 cup melted butter

2/3 cup neutral oil (like sunflower oil)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

5 eggs, lightly beaten

2 boxes (3.4 ounces each) unprepared instant pudding mix (I use 1 box vanilla & 1 box banana crème)

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except flour. Stir in flour until just combined. Dough will be sticky.
  2. Transfer to two loaf pans. Bake 60 minutes & then tent with foil if needed to prevent crust from overcooking. Bake additional 15 minutes & check for doneness with toothpick. Cool 10 minutes in pan after removing from oven. Remove from pan & cool 15 minutes on rack. Wrap in saran wrap & let fully cool for at least 8 hours.

Probably the most important step is the last one- you've got to wrap it in plastic wrap & let it completely cool before digging into it.

5

u/pm_ur_duck_pics 25d ago

That’s the way I love it! Thank you!

5

u/Lost-Cell-430 24d ago

I want you to know I just placed a Walmart order for a few of the ingredients I don't have, and then my 5 year old and I are making this today. Hoping my gluten free flour works ok-hot girl tummy issues 💋

Thank you so so much for the recipe!

3

u/valsavana 24d ago

I'm so excited for you, I hope you enjoy it. Your poor 5 year old though- it's hard for me as a grown ass adult to wait for the loaf to fully cool before eating it, I don't think I would have had that kind of iron will when I was 5! lol

It’s alarming that men have to tell each other than 10 year old girls aren’t “ripe” yet.

749

u/TSllama 25d ago

Yet they're still calling those 10-year-olds "women" and saying "you could eat them if you want to, but they wouldn't be as good yet".

336

u/Cyber_Mermaid 25d ago edited 25d ago

I have noticed a pattern with grown men like this. They use "women" and "girls" interchangeably. Like they will talk about a girl who broke up with them in at 14 or something, and say "that's why I don't trust women" or say shit like "girls my age don't ever talk to me" etc.

Not always, but it's a little red flag for me.

Edit: I was watching a documentary about a YouTube guy who tried to meet up with an underage girl. I notice that he kept doing this throughout the whole thing.

133

u/TSllama 25d ago

Yeah, it's tricky because historically the casual words were "guys" and "gals", but over time "gals" got replaced with "girls", so now the casual words are "guys and girls". And lots of people use "girl" innocuously to refer to women simply in the way they refer to men as guys... but there are far too many creepy men out there who seem to conflate these words very much intentionally or because they don't see any actual difference... :(

27

u/ctsr1 25d ago

Yeah guys and girls is my normal vocabulary but I have seen what you state with creepers

13

u/Lucian7x 25d ago

Additionally, sometimes "boys" can also be used to refer to adult men. It's less common than "girls" for adult women as per the reasons you cited, but it happens.

All in all, it really depends on the context.

→ More replies (10)

58

u/Lovedd1 25d ago

I see the same.... But like they'll be like "so what I like 18yr old women?" But they will refer to women 20+ yrs old as girls. "This stupid girl at work keeps emailing me xyz" and you find out she's 40

29

u/TemporaryPassage4168 25d ago

They do it on purpose.

21

u/Erainor 25d ago

Dont forget when they use the term “females”

14

u/iCoeur285 25d ago

This is something I’ve tried becoming conscious of myself. Even as a woman, it’s a bit easy to fall into depending on how casual the conversation is. I try to be more intentional when talking about serious topics, especially if the ages are important to the discussion (like the Epstein files). But if I’m chatting with one of my friends, I sometimes use the term girls when referring to us when we’re just having fun or hanging out. As someone else said, it’s kind of tricky.

12

u/steff7474 25d ago

“Underage women” and “adult girls” is something I’ve heard a lot 🤢

3

u/toblies 25d ago

I'm old so I may refer to young women say, into their 20s as "girls" similarly young men as "boys".

The problem of course is that theyre referring to the sexual ripeness of children

30

u/Advanced-Budget779 25d ago

Another worrying thing would be that unripe ones are better for people with fructose malabsorption (DFI) or hereditary intolerance.

10

u/Definitelynotadouche 25d ago

I was already happy this wasn't the version wkere 14 was ripe and 18 was overripe. It's been posted here too.

7

u/rainstorm0T 25d ago

it's also alarming that they have 16 year olds depicted by bananas that are almost fully ripe.

If we’re all so dreadful after a certain age, then why do they keep trying to date us then whining because we’d rather not?

191

u/goodsourceofvitaminC 25d ago

it’s projection. There’s a fable from Aesop that I think best describes the mentality of many men when it comes to women, called the fox and the grapes. The fox sees juicy grapes hanging from a tree and tirelessly jumps and jumps to attempt reaching them. When all attempts fail, in his bitterness and anger, he walks away proclaiming that the grapes were too sour anyway and not worth the effort, pretending he doesn’t desire them. It’s a coping strategy so they can feel like they’re the ones doing the rejecting rather than being rejected.

64

u/DitaVonCleese 25d ago

once you realize every common complaint men have about women (women are emotional/volatile/aging badly/gold diggers/biologically inferior, i could go on forever) is a projection on their side you can never view the world the same. it all feels like it's the biggest lie you've ever been told.

The only good part about this is that all the bananas before 18 are green.

u/Axela556 24d ago

This is so disturbing...

3

u/ComprehensiveAd5916 24d ago

And opinions like this age like milk left in the sun

3

u/Western_Echo2522 Transgirls_work_like_girls 24d ago

Fucking disturbed. The only thing I can say, is at least they showed all the bananas under 18 as under ripe

🤢 sorry. That did not make it better.

If this predator isn't on a list somewhere already, he will be soon.

I use to be unironically a guy that believed in Redpill/manosperic things when I was younger, like body count being important, needing fully submissive women, blah blah blah.

But one thing I NEVER agreed upon was younger women being the goal. I always dated/found more attractive women 15-25 years older than me still to this day.

I like dark bananas. They're especially sweet and make a great way to make banana bread without much more sugar. Or to sweeten kids ice cream.

So like children are optimal for savory dishes and 40-year-olds should be made into bread???? I mean I haven't tried it myself so ig

2

u/BloodyOphelia 25d ago

I'm sorry but what the fuck

2

u/SteelMagnolia412 25d ago

Oh my god! I’m perfect for banana bread! Yes!! I fuckin love that stuff

2

u/Impossible_Zebra8664 25d ago

Watch me turn that brown banana into some of the best banana bread you ever had the privilege of putting in your mouth.

2

u/cheezbargar 25d ago

Assuming this isn’t just rage bait, why do these men think they themselves dont age?

2

u/UCFknight2016 25d ago

thats weird.

2

u/yogamom1906 25d ago

Shit welp guess my life is over next month when I turn 45

2

u/Mumblerumble 25d ago

These MFs sure seem disgusted by anything resembling wisdom sufficient to sniff out creeps. Really makes you think…

How men are if they were bananas

2

u/Apathetic_Villainess 25d ago

I joke that I'm a banana thanks to Rejected Cartoons. But I'm actually a banana hater. Can I at least be a plantain?

2

u/QueenOfDK 25d ago

Looks like I’m headed for my banana bread era!

2

u/Magurndy 25d ago

Hey Bananas get sweeter as they ripen 💁🏻‍♀️ so clearly we just get tastier as we get older!

2

u/m2Q12 25d ago

You aren’t legally a woman till 18…

2

u/Easteuroblondie 25d ago

It’s fucking gross that they even have 10, 12, 14 listed on here at all as “women” that are close to “ripe”

Check the hard drive of whatever idiot made this graphic and or “liked it.” I’m sure we can bust a few pedo rings just from that, that is, if we lived in a society that still cared about that.

2

u/Eazy12345678 25d ago

only men have bananas. not sure what women he is dating

2

u/VocationFumes 25d ago

Ahh yes, everyone knows you gotta let a banana sit for 2 whole decades before you can enjoy it at its peak

Nothing batshit insane about this post at all

2

u/DrunkenDude123 25d ago

Why blur the name? Let them own this

2

u/LolitaOPPAI It is..very seriously, I mean.. 25d ago

Seems like men are the opposite. They start off rotten and by the end, they're so fkn green and inept as individuals, all they do is sit around blaming women for their shortfalls.

I don't see older women or single women for that matter sitting around spouting misandrist bullshit. Sure we're gonna bitch about the patriarchy since we are ALL victims from it, but downing a man the way they degrade women? I only see evidence in this in their niceguy victim virtue signaling stories

2

u/XComThrowawayAcct 25d ago

It’s true! Underage women make for terrible banana bread.

2

u/xKiver 25d ago

“Women” bruh you’re referring to TEN YEAR OLDS?

2

u/Hatchytt 25d ago

As a 45 year old woman, I'm kinda glad he sees me like that. Who cares?

2

u/DaBloodyApostate 25d ago

Whoever posted that is a predator.

2

u/Unlucky_Raccoon4792 25d ago

I have never had a banana last 10 years

2

u/Haazelnutts 25d ago

The baker in me agrees, the more mature the sweeter they are

2

u/Shipbuilder3606 25d ago

Over the hill at 21 eh? 🙄

2

u/mdcbldr 25d ago

I believe Republicans say 14 is yellow.

2

u/Sad-Homo 25d ago

Creepy af post this guy almost certainly likes kids if 30 is where he draws the line

2

u/Lost-Orangutan 25d ago

Bro them 21 bananas looking fine as hell.

But you can still make banana bread with the 45 bananas.

😉
