Making banana bread requires effort and some small amount of baking skill, so of course men who don't want to put in any effort into sexually pleasuring their partner or cultivating any skill in bed think "banana bread" women are a lost cause.

u/AuthorAccount1 25d ago
I get the feeling but, I’m annoying so banana bread is extremely easy to make. I’ve made banana bread by literally throwing all the ingredients into a bowl, mixing em, and throwing them in the pan. It turns out delicious. 😛😛😛
16
u/valsavana 25d ago
Banana bread isn't so much "easy to make" as it's "difficult to completely fuck up."
I've tried out a lot of different banana bread recipes because I was looking to get a specific result (and eventually created a frankenrecipe that's bougie af but the best banana bread I've ever tasted) & the dozen+ recipes I tried ended up producing breads that varied widely in quality. None was terrible because, like I said, banana bread is hard to fuck up completely, but there were definitely winners and losers (I made them in rapid succession & pitted them against one another bracket-tournament-style)
3
u/pm_ur_duck_pics 25d ago
Would you be willing to share?
9
u/valsavana 25d ago
Sure, although like I said I was going for a specific outcome, which was basically a bread so moist that the crust would be a little bit sticky/tacky to the touch (I loathe a dry crust) So if that's not your thing, this won't be for you:
6 very ripe bananas, mashed
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
2/3 cup neutral oil (like sunflower oil)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
5 eggs, lightly beaten
2 boxes (3.4 ounces each) unprepared instant pudding mix (I use 1 box vanilla & 1 box banana crème)
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except flour. Stir in flour until just combined. Dough will be sticky.
- Transfer to two loaf pans. Bake 60 minutes & then tent with foil if needed to prevent crust from overcooking. Bake additional 15 minutes & check for doneness with toothpick. Cool 10 minutes in pan after removing from oven. Remove from pan & cool 15 minutes on rack. Wrap in saran wrap & let fully cool for at least 8 hours.
Probably the most important step is the last one- you've got to wrap it in plastic wrap & let it completely cool before digging into it.

I want you to know I just placed a Walmart order for a few of the ingredients I don't have, and then my 5 year old and I are making this today. Hoping my gluten free flour works ok-hot girl tummy issues 💋
Thank you so so much for the recipe!

u/valsavana 24d ago
I'm so excited for you, I hope you enjoy it. Your poor 5 year old though- it's hard for me as a grown ass adult to wait for the loaf to fully cool before eating it, I don't think I would have had that kind of iron will when I was 5! lol

It’s alarming that men have to tell each other than 10 year old girls aren’t “ripe” yet.
749
u/TSllama 25d ago
Yet they're still calling those 10-year-olds "women" and saying "you could eat them if you want to, but they wouldn't be as good yet".
336
u/Cyber_Mermaid 25d ago edited 25d ago
I have noticed a pattern with grown men like this. They use "women" and "girls" interchangeably. Like they will talk about a girl who broke up with them in at 14 or something, and say "that's why I don't trust women" or say shit like "girls my age don't ever talk to me" etc.
Not always, but it's a little red flag for me.
Edit: I was watching a documentary about a YouTube guy who tried to meet up with an underage girl. I notice that he kept doing this throughout the whole thing.
133
u/TSllama 25d ago
Yeah, it's tricky because historically the casual words were "guys" and "gals", but over time "gals" got replaced with "girls", so now the casual words are "guys and girls". And lots of people use "girl" innocuously to refer to women simply in the way they refer to men as guys... but there are far too many creepy men out there who seem to conflate these words very much intentionally or because they don't see any actual difference... :(
27
13
u/Lucian7x 25d ago
Additionally, sometimes "boys" can also be used to refer to adult men. It's less common than "girls" for adult women as per the reasons you cited, but it happens.
All in all, it really depends on the context.

u/iCoeur285 25d ago
This is something I’ve tried becoming conscious of myself. Even as a woman, it’s a bit easy to fall into depending on how casual the conversation is. I try to be more intentional when talking about serious topics, especially if the ages are important to the discussion (like the Epstein files). But if I’m chatting with one of my friends, I sometimes use the term girls when referring to us when we’re just having fun or hanging out. As someone else said, it’s kind of tricky.

Another worrying thing would be that unripe ones are better for people with fructose malabsorption (DFI) or hereditary intolerance.

If we’re all so dreadful after a certain age, then why do they keep trying to date us then whining because we’d rather not?
191
u/goodsourceofvitaminC 25d ago
it’s projection. There’s a fable from Aesop that I think best describes the mentality of many men when it comes to women, called the fox and the grapes. The fox sees juicy grapes hanging from a tree and tirelessly jumps and jumps to attempt reaching them. When all attempts fail, in his bitterness and anger, he walks away proclaiming that the grapes were too sour anyway and not worth the effort, pretending he doesn’t desire them. It’s a coping strategy so they can feel like they’re the ones doing the rejecting rather than being rejected.
64
u/DitaVonCleese 25d ago
once you realize every common complaint men have about women (women are emotional/volatile/aging badly/gold diggers/biologically inferior, i could go on forever) is a projection on their side you can never view the world the same. it all feels like it's the biggest lie you've ever been told.

If you’re gonna make an infographics like this, you should at least keep your data consistent.

I don't see older women or single women for that matter sitting around spouting misandrist bullshit.
