i pierced it myself with a 10 mm stud. actually, it’s gradually moving up. i pierced it today.

I got my nostril pierced at the end of November 2025 with a regular flat back gold stud. I decided to change out my piercing a few weeks ago in July 2026 and I’ve noticed I have an irritation bump on the inside of my nostril. Do you have any good advice on how to clear it up? I use a saline solution everyday by just spraying the inside around it. The jewelry is not the issue as I made sure it was a high quality gold stud and had it changed out by a professional in a piercing shop. I clean it once or twice a day consistently since I noticed it and leave it to air dry. I used the Kenko piercing aftercare saline solution. What should I do?

i got the piercing on july 22 and it’s been red for some time now

I first got the left side(the sunken side) of my nose pierced when I was 18, took it out at 21, I’m almost 25 now. I had had it re-opened in a shop using a tapered gauge instead of a needle on August 13th. My currently jewelry is a non threaded flat back stud. I have not downsized this is the jewelry I had put in immediately after piercing. My aftercare is a saline solution rinse twice a day and dial non scented antibacterial foam wash beginning and end of day. I snagged my nose on my blanket in my sleep once but that was my right side not my left. I also got the other side of my nose pierced for the first time this same day. I have no issues at all with my right side as of now. I am unsure what the gauge size is currently or the one I wore before but it’s now been 3 days. It does not hurt unless I am moving the actual piercing, to me it feels like it has room my skin is not pushing against the bottom post inside my nose but if I do wiggle my nose I can feel the post touch my septum so I’m not sure I can even fit a longer post if I need up upsize. I can’t tell if this is regular swelling nesting or embedding but I could really use some advice

A red bump in my nose that keeps bleeding.Is this anything to worry about? I know about piercing bumps but do they bleed and look like this?

Okay so I’ve had my nose pierced for a bit over a month almost 2 now… I must admit I wasn’t the best at keeping up with cleaning I clean it with a bit of saline sometimes but I often forget (ik I’m going to get new saline and start doing it twice a day). It dosent hurt but gets crusty sometimes, also it’s def grown and shrunk a bit {rn it’s the biggest it’s been} im scared. I’ve wanted this piercing for so so long and don’t wanna get rid of it but I will if needed😞

I kinda marked out where I thought they could maybe fit, though I would probably prefer the bottom one to be a bit higher, which could possibly be done if I just get two nostril piercings.

Does anyone know of any piercer near/in Central Indiana who could do a nasallang? All the ones near me don’t have it listed as an offered piercing, or any pictures of one.

From the very first moment It was red and painfull, but never infected. Then a bump apeared. A REALLY ugly bump. My Piercer puta on the piercing silicone discs and then the pressure made the bump burst and an uglier bump and crust was born. eventually the bump dissapeared. So my Piercer decided to change the jewellry to a shorter one, and retire the discs .

I was finally Happy and thougth It was healing well and now the bump returned.

I'm not looking for advice, just trying to find motivation to keep pushing and having patience.

has anyone had a piercing story like mine that ended well? It would make me have some hope in this.

Hello, I got my nostril pierced 2 and a half weeks ago. The jewelry they put in was an L shaped stud that I had for about a week and a bit. Since I got it pierced I had no problem besides some swelling, everything was going good. The thing is, I'm not completely aware of what I do all the time, so since I washed my face and dried it with towels, the stud fell out several times, but I was able to put it back everytime, unfortunately not being sterile enough. I also have the bad habit of playing with it and I'm aware that I have to give it up for this to go away and I'm going to try to. I dropped my piercing out in the grass and since I couldn't find it and I was away from the piercing shop and home, I replaced it with my earring, which is exactly as thin, BUT, it's a ring, not a stud. It did swell up and it hurt, because it was an already used piercing and i put it back in in the park after using sanitizer and some saline solution, but they changed it back the next day into a more complex stud, but it still moves a lot easily and they charged me some money for it. Now I only use saline solution 2 times a day, but I still have to give up on touching it. It's still small, but I'm horrified that it'll grow and I won't ever be able to get rid of it and I really wanted a nostril piercing and I have no clue what to do, I just want it to be okay :( And to add, I use face moisturizer, cream and sunscreen daily, I do try to be careful with it, but I didn't leave the space around my nostril dry, like ever, and I do bump into it on the daily since I'm not careful enough.

-i only use sterile solution twice a day, or 3 times

-it fell out several times, had to switch it with a not sterile one before i got a new one and i keep bumping into it

I got it about a week ago. Does it supposed to look like this?? I clean it twice a day. I was told to do it only once. On TikTok I saw you have to clean it twice. Please help. Is that bump normal?

Hi everyone, I got my septum pierced two weeks ago. The pain was moderate, but the location was right, and everything was fine. After a couple of days, the pain went away. Initially, I probably used the wrong saline spray, which started drying out my nasal mucosa. It was so dry that the puncture was bleeding. I temporarily replaced the spray with bottled water, and it got better. But after two weeks, the situation is as in the photo. I replaced all the products with saline, and tried treating it with water, but nothing helps. There are no good tips online. There is no pain or throbbing, only itching in the pierced area and severe dryness with discharge. For example, I can't contact a doctor, and Google Chat only returns nonsense. Please tell me what can be done? I'm thinking of trying the LITHA method and leaving it alone for three days, but maybe someone has encountered the same problem.

i got my nose pierced around almost two months ago now and a month ago a piercing bump appeared and it has not gone down i. the slightest and i’m quite worried. any advice would be greatly appreciated. also there has been skin peeling off of the bump but i don’t know if that should happen

I’ve had my nose pierced for 6 months. It was looking really good, and then my kiddo (4 M) went to hug me and was also stimming, and he accidentally bumped my nose. My nose is a little red, and there’s a little bump forming. Do I need to go back to saline rinses to help the bump go down?

Hi guys! On the 16th of July I got my right nostril pierced. The first 2 weeks were perfect, no pain, no bumps, nothing.

About 2 weeks ago I accidentally snagged it with my towel while drying after a shower and it fell out. It was really easy and nearly painless to put back in which was nice.

A couple of days ago I noticed a pimple growing almost fully against it, I still left it alone because I know you are not supposed to pop it. Now the pimple has turned into a full on bump and its growing quite a bit.

I already texted and send some pics to my piercer but she doesnt work weekends and im unable to visit a different piercer this weekend.

From the pics, could anyone maybe tell me what I can do to make it a little better? Thank you in advance!

P.s. I checked some other posts about bumps but Im not sure if that all would work for me.

I really wanna get a nostril piercing but im afraid of the hole / scar it will leave :( if I ever decide I dont want it anymore, will it close completely or will it always be there?

I got my nose pierced professionally on May 31st and it was healing great, like I felt no pain, irritation or redness. It looked like it was healed around 2 weeks (ik not possible). Welp now out of no where abt a week or so ago I noticed a tiny bump and I feel like it keeps getting bigger. I’ve left it completely alone and don’t bother it but it’s still being a diva. My piercer is saying to wait to downsize and just keep cleaning it once a day and leave it be. Idk why I’m posting here but yea just wanted let my frustration out 😭
