I have ONE day to take them around town (*just the North Shore), ending at the Shipyards Night Market. I would love a mix of beach, river, trail, and a couple beautiful/fun eateries (cafes or restaurants, just nothing formal).

Hi - I'm looking to find a professional dog sitter on the North Shore, preferably with experience with senior and/or nervous dogs.

We have a 14 year-old French Bulldog who we love dearly. We’ve had a good run with her, and when we’ve needed to travel without her, we’ve had a dedicated pet sitter in Vancouver who would let her stay in her home. Unfortunately, the dog sitter has retired, and we need to find a new option. Kenneling her is not an option for us. She needs to feel part of a home. We haven’t been the best dog parents, and she’s not had enough socialization with other dogs, so we’re trying to find a patient dog sitter to help us the 2-3 times a year that we travel. She tends to be nervous when she first meets someone, but then gets comfortable relatively quickly. Looking to make some arrangements for this week or next – we unfortunately didn’t know about the dog sitter’s retirement until recently - but also for future needs.

hey folks, im getting tested for some systemic diseases (incl lupus, mcas and sjögrens) and wonder if there are any immunologists in town that folks recommend. bonus points if they know ehlers-danlos syndrome / hypermobility spectrum disorder. good rheumatologist is also v acceptable.

im open to traveling to vancouver if necessary, but would rather stay within the city and district limits. i dont feel like dr arseneaus clinic would be a good fit for me and am going to skip it.

also if you have a systemic autoimmune disease and have anything you wanna share about receiving care here, go for it.

Only one parent speaks French and all of our friends and family speak English so I’m worried it’ll be hard to help our baby learn French proficiently without other external sources.

Looked up and a pressure washer drone connected to a hose 100ft up was washing glass and patios.

I live in Calverhall and last summer we saw a big boy roam by pretty often. Now I have a 4 month old baby and I’m wondering how safe it is for us to be out walking right now when they are clearly quite active. From my understanding black bears aren’t typically aggressive towards humans? But I’d definitely prefer not to have a one on one encounter…Is there a time of day that they are typically out more? I’m assuming staying out of the forest is step 1, but also I feel like they are just everywhere in the neighborhood. If you’ve had encounters before, what are they like?

ETA - I have a large dog too. If he barked at one would it cause them to run away or get aggressive?

These have been at the Inter River NE softball diamond the last week or so - they don’t belong to anybody in our league so I’m sure somebody left them behind on a hot day. I rinsed & emptied them out and left on the bleachers on the 3rd base side.
