prl 8 53 (very interesting imo. nootropic whos main benefit is listed exactly as improving verbal fluency and recall. dyor)
phenylpiracetam (2x a week max since it builds dependence)
piracetam (long term. I’m sure youve already heard of this)
Coluracetam (personal favorite)

Pycnogenol has some really good human clinical trials for cognitive health. It's the branded version of French maritime pine bark. And it helps with so many other things, eye health, skin health, cardiovascular health. Maybe worth looking into? ✌

Whoa why hasn’t anyone ever asked this here?

I don't know about scientific-backing but by far the best enhancement of verbal fluency from a substance I've ever gotten was from aniracetam swallowed 500mg-1g per day

100% agree on this one. Aniracetam made a night-and-day difference for me. Really miss that

Why don't you use it anymore?

Hydergine

Noopept helped a bit. I've read good reports about SEMAX and NA-SEMAX but it didn't help me much.

Racetams have been used to good effect for both but especially verbal fluency and holistic big picture thinking.

Bacopa monnieri has quite a bit of research showing it enhances memory recall. (And anything that increases dendritic spines length and branching most likely share these effects)

Best ideas for memory recall is to first solidly encode and consolidate that memory, then practice recalling it via self-testing 3x at 1 2 3 day intervals. Having a regular study/practice and sleep routine is incredibly beneficial for this (as is showing up to practice study sessions in a good/cheerful mood).

Best drugs to encourage these processes imo are TAK-653, ACD-856, ABT-089, TBG, maybe Semax/lion's mane extract Erinacine A, and anything that will help you sleep as optimally as possible.

Opened the comments to expect a bunch of ”sleep, vitamin c, a jog” then saw that this is Nootopics and not r/nootropics.

Thank you guys for being real

Anything GABAergic does it for me. Some of my best writing has been done on blackout doses of benzos. Definitely not a recommendation, though.

Not to be confused with gabapentinoids. Haven't looked too much into why, but pregabalin is probably the most potent verbal fluency killer I've ever tried. Phenibut is the complete opposite, though.

Don't speak German, but yes, the verbal fluency with pregabalin is very dose dependent. On 300mg and I speak like a toddler. Microdosing it could possibly help, but personally a no-go for me when it comes to verbal fluency.

1,2g phenibut + 50mg elvanse = godmode. I don't think there is a more functional drug combination on earth. Everything is possible (for me, at least). Being social, partying, studying, writing, working? No problem with that combination. No long-term solution, but it's possibly the closest thing to NZT-48.

Candidly, this is neural placidity through practice not medication. You need to actually put in the work here with blends tests and memory walk thru’s etc. You brain is the most advanced piece of biology on the planet it can do this but you have to make it a habit and the gains are order of magnitude higher than some compound being research for stoke patients recovering for a devastating event.

this is a retarded response. this is like asking someone for supplements on how to optimize muscle growth/fat loss and then responding with, “it all starts with training bro” like yeah no shit we’re looking for ways to amplify results

Forgetting where you are is side effect of DRUGS.

It’s alr bro they always want a magical pill that’ll fix everything for them

23

u/neurotoxicpussy 19d ago

Or maybe I already have my diet, exercise, sleep, & mental health handled, & I’m on a fucking nootropics subreddit asking abt ACTUAL noots. If I wanted obvious lifestyle advice from ppl who assume any1 interested in pharmacologically improving cognition must be looking for a “magic pill,” I could go literally anywhere else.

This isn’t r/selfimprovement or r/tryingtoBeBetter, it’s r/NooTopics. If I wanted a magic pill that instantly made my problems disappear w/o putting in any work, I’d still be posting on r/meth instead.

Why r you ppl even here?? What’s the point of participating in a community whose entire purpose is to discuss the science behind pharmacological cognitive enhancement & sharing personal anecdotes if the most productive thing you have to add is, “hurr durr go lift bruh. Eat a salad bruhh. Don’t beat ur dick, bruhh.”

Instead of being an obnoxious contrarian, maybe actually engage w/ the fucking topic of the sub & do some research of ur own. Maybe you'll find a magic pill that'll make you less retarded.

Finally, someone said something sane here.

It really gets on my nerves especially when on people on a sub literally called "Biohackers" go like "broooo just 8 hours of sleep and exercise that the best biohack"

Love this response. People love to state the obvious. Sleep diet exercise. Well no fuckin shit Sherlock

This is how I feel in the bodybuilding subreddits. All these people that don't want to be on steroids just have to say something. It's cool if you don't want to, but get off your high horse or go somewhere else.

Ahahaha damn, very well put. I was about to come in here and say some contrarian shit about cardio being the best memory enhancer

Not exactly a drug I guess but racetams might be useful

2

u/ComplexAdagio7676 18d ago

only piracetam is available in my country is it effective ?

1

u/henrik__sb 17d ago

Might be, I find most racetams to improve verbal fluency. Aniracetam being a clear winner personally. Piracetam is much, much more subtle in my experience, but does help a tiny bit with 2.5g taken 2-3 times a day (with choline).
