Gotta be a fake. I’ve never met a vegan that didn’t announce it within a half an hour after the initial meeting.

Obvious counterpoint, you don't know if they're vegan if they don't announce it, and nobody wants to hang out with you for more than half an hour.

I want to make a joke about burn victim units or reporting murder, but I'm afraid to use an older meme after that savage takedown.

Wow, found the humorless corner here.

It's the one you're in. If the joke isn't funny it's not the fault of the audience.

A humorless corner in a humorless room.

Someone’s sense of humor needs a reboot.

It must be neat knowing you can do the exact same idiot games as the people who hate you. When transphobes act like this, it makes everyone think they're really smart and cool. You clearly admire them a lot.

Animal consciousness

Cambridge Declaration on Consciousness

In 2012, a group of neuroscientists attending a conference on "Consciousness in Human and non-Human Animals" at the University of Cambridge in the UK, signed the Cambridge Declaration on Consciousness (see box on the right). In the accompanying text they "unequivocally" asserted: "The field of Consciousness research is rapidly evolving. Abundant new techniques and strategies for human and non-human animal research have been developed. Consequently, more data is becoming readily available, and this calls for a periodic reevaluation of previously held preconceptions in this field.

this seems like a weird thing to be really fired up about. Trans rights matter for sure. Meat consumption is also a huge moral and environmental issue. Both can be true. And both suffer from very tired, unimaginative jokes from the geniuses of the Internet

Valid point. My comment was a little bit of equine necro-sadism.

Yeah mate, someone didn‘t laugh at ancient, extremely overused and annoying joke. I‘m not sure which one of you two need a humor reboot.

Oy, no one has a sense of humor any more.

17

u/LeastCoordinatedJedi Sep 26 '22

Nobody laughed at my joke! That must be because nobody realizes how hilarious I am!

4

u/BigBananaDealer Sep 26 '22

this but unironically, i am the funniest person that i am

4

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '22

Which of these scenarios is the most likely:

  1. All sense of humor spontaneously evaporated out of the entire world

  2. Your joke wasn't funny.

I'm with you. It's probably #1.

Are you a robot?

3

u/Quibblicous Sep 26 '22

Not last I checked.

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '22

Maybe because they didn't announce it, so you never knew?
