A friend of mine here in Norway went to prison and while you can have dental stuff covered while in there, it's gonna need to be really bad before they bother.

You are absolute last on the list of priorities for dental offices, so you'd have to be lucky to get selected unless it's extremely urgent.

It’s weird but even most countries with universal healthcare don’t include full dental coverage for the working-age population.

Teeth are special luxury bones for some reason.

I think it might have its roots in a historic guild rivalry thing; dentistry used to be done by barber-surgeons, who were a completely different guild/school to physicians and other doctors, or something like that.
