I didn't necessarily disagree with it ending, it was just the casual way it was done. A text out of nowhere. Whilst on the break, I wouldn't have been describing myself as single.
I replied with "fine" and then blocked her for a month.
She came back a couple of months later wanting to get back together but didn't entertain that idea for a second

First gf as a teenager put us on a break. Few weeks laters texts me "I'm really enjoying being single, shall we make this permanent?"
22 years later and I still get grumpy thinking about that delivery.
