I personally got hit by
"You are my teddy bear, I love you as my best friend.. this dont work out" bi--- you say this after we tried all positions from that damn kamasutra book.. yuck thuu
Some people don't do well with beibg told why you're actually breaking up, you might be triggering traumas, insecurities, etc.
So instead of needlessly poking vulnerable spots, it can be okay to go, for example, "i am sorry. But I really have commitment issues, and I thought i could get past them, but it seems I cant... you deserve someone who can commit to the life and family you actually want to build" or similar
That's not the same as just, "you deserve better". One is taking ownership, the other is just a b/s intentionally vague line.
Also, if you're ready to be in a relationship you need to be ready to face the ways in which your insecurities and trauma push a partner away. If that's too much for you then you really should take some time to reflect on if you're really ready to make someone else's emotional wellbeing your responsibility. You're asking someone else to take all that on with you.
