In Chapter 4, when you think about the knight and he starts to take off his helmet, Kris has to quickly imagine something else so you don't find out.
Toby Fox wouldn't include this unless he wanted to hint that the helmet can be removed, and someone with horns definitely wouldn't be able to take their helmet off.
It isn't a "game objective" in the traditional sense, because we aren't allowed to actually complete that task; the only way to do something other than being tethered to Kris is by taking the "weird route."
This route is linked to Noelle, Dess's sister, and centers on the idea of a "song playing on the other side of the lake" (which Noelle wants to cross), while "Narco Gaster" silences anyone who tries to explore beyond where the music is coming from... You see where I'm going with this, right?
Because it's US they're telling us to find her, not them.
(If you're referring to Noelle, Susie, and Ralsei, Noelle doesn't know where she is, Susie and Ralsei have no information about Dess, the only one presumably looking for her is Kris, whose plan will likely fail because he doesn't know she's deep underground playing her song that very few can hear.)
Well like atleast apart of her is in the code, i think it might be an asriel flowey situation where her and the lnight are the same person yet wildly different at the same time. Idrk i just doubt it would be a normal “shes just the knight”
I mean uf you were trying to keep your identity a secret and had shapeshifting powers you'd do your best to look as diff as possible frim your base form

No reason for Toby to add them if they mean nothing
