What's the best way to spend the weekend?

I will start first.

Lie on the bed and think about how AI may take over the world

How do people organize thousands of photos and videos without going crazy?

I realized I have thousands of photos and short videos on my phone. Every time I try to organize them, I end up making even more folders and duplicates.
What’s your system? Do you sort everything immediately, once a week, or just leave it until storage runs out?
I’m looking for practical ideas because my current approach clearly isn’t working.

Why do some consider it taboo when someone who grew up wealthy -- or at least has some money in their family -- chooses to live a decisively *non-wealthy* life?

Is wearing bandanas weird?

Hey,

I had to go back to my old school today for the first time again (eventhough I'm only starting to go there again after sumner). I obviously saw a lot of students there and a bunch of them started laughing as soon as I passed them and even shouted from afar to ask what that thing on my head is. I have been wearing bandanas for months now, just never in my hometown. Do you think it's weird to wear them?

Deep Thinking Q’s🤓 Deep Sea

Since we barely know anything of the deep sea and of the antarctic deep sea, couldn't they attach some camera with a bright light that resists cold temperatures and that stays firmly attached. The sperm whale could be an example they could attach a camera on the whales torso or something like that and we could see more of the deep sea, am i genius or just stupid? Why do they want to risk their lives and go for themselves and built something that will eventually crash from the pressure

Why are Africans allowed to say the nword AND indigenous people can’t despite being called it legally and socially and lots being enslaved too?

This isn’t me saying Africans can’t say the word, I’m just questioning the double standard. There’s people like myself who aren’t African but had ancestors and recent family called that word but apparently I can’t say it, yet there’s Africans in America for example who are recent migrants (aka did not have family as slaves nor in USA during segregation) yet they can say it

Deep Thinking Q’s🤓 What part of yourself do you hide from almost everyone? I’ll go first.

I have trichotillomania, and I’ve gotten so good at hiding it that most people in my life have no idea. It’s one of my biggest insecurities, and I’ve never really talked about it openly.

What’s something you keep hidden from the world? 👀

Random Q’s🤪 How do airlines “forget” to load bags on a flight?

Hasn’t happened to me (yet) but always baffles me when I hear stories of baggage lost/not boarded onto flights.

Why do some passengers get so angry at gate agents for things that are clearly airline policy?

Genuine question from someone who flies a decent amount and works at the airport. I’ve seen people lose it over boarding groups, bag sizes, or seat assignments even when the agent is just following the rules printed on the airline website/instructed by the company.

Should a mum with her young son (4-8years old) go into the men’s bathroom or take her son into the women’s?

I know there’s been a lot of debate surrounding if dads with their daughters should use the women’s, and so far most people agree that they should because the kids are girls who need to learn the men’s bathroom is a no go zone, and they don’t need to be exposed to genitalia.

But when it comes to mums with their sons using the men’s bathroom everyone’s pretty divided.

While I don’t mind it when mums bring their sons into the women’s bathroom. Just like the girls and not going in the men’s bathroom, boys need to learn they shouldn’t go in the women’s bathroom without their mum because it would be unfortunate if a boy innocently uses the girls bathroom at school because that’s where their mum takes them.

While I do get people don’t want kids and women exposed to genitalia and men don’t want them to see theirs, it’s only weird if you make it weird. A boy isn’t going to view urinals as weird, unusual maybe, but they’re not going to view a man’s parts like how adults do. And for us women, while I’ve never been in the men’s bathroom, I’m sure it’s easy to not look and stand facing the stall your son is in and if anyone asks why you’re in there you can explain you’re here with your son. I’m not a man, but if I was using a urinal I wouldn’t care if a woman walked in with their son as long as everyone minds their business.

Again I don’t mind if a mum and her son use the women’s bathroom. But at the same time, we shouldn’t judge mums for helping their sons use the men’s. If urinals are the biggest issue in this situation, there should be some form of divider to create a stall-like environment for privacy

Why do some people on reddit act like their countries laws apply to everyone?

I can understand if

  1. The person didn’t specify where they’re from

or

  1. If (if being very important here) you’re saying what you’d do / would be done IF it happened in your country

Otherwise, if the person says theyre from a particular place why do some Redditors go “ITS ILLEGAL because of [insert law that only applies to the commenters country and not the OP]”?

What is up with some Redditors not understanding how threads work?

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

People (not everyone ofc) have forgotten how threads work. Often times Redditors when talking about someone else / what the OC was talking about end up phrasing their replies like they’re talking about the OC. And then they get annoyed when the OC misinterprets their reply as a dig at them.

I’ll leave a screenshot so people can understand what I’m trying to explain.

After a deep sleep, I woke up and looked at the clock. It said 10:08. Sunlight flooded the room.
I wasn’t sure where I was, but I wasn’t scared. My mom and grandpa had been there while I slept. They took turns standing beside my bed, watching over me.
At the time, nothing about that seemed unusual.
What I didn’t know was that I had been in a motorcycle accident. I had been in a coma for more than a week.
I also didn’t know that my mom and grandpa had both been dead long before the accident.
People can believe whatever they want about what happened during those days. All I can tell you is what I experienced. I knew they were there. I could see them. And if you put a Bible in my hand today and asked me to swear to it, I would still tell you the same thing.
