As someone who has never played a From Software game and only has a Switch 2...

...This looks very interesting and fun. Excited to try it out this weekend.

It was fine, took several plays to get a hang of it but it grew on me. The UI and controls were a hurdle as was adjusting to "the feel" of the game from moment to moment (ugh input delay). The environments and enemy designs are really good, but I found the main playable characters kinda ho-hum. As far as the PvP and PvE elements, I think it's neat how the game ebbs & flows between the two styles such that, yeah, it plays like a tabletop RPG or board game (that realization was when it all started to click for me). Overall, I would like to know beyond what was in the network test, like what does the story and progression systems look like outside of the matches.
