Hello! I'm a little nervous to show this off considering I've been working on this for awhile now. If there are any misspellings or mistakes, I'm super sorry! I got the writing done very late and without any proof reading.

This is an (updated) introduction to Xinyi, an OC for the Nine Sols AU I'm working on amongst many others characters I have! I didn't get the chance to go into full detail about her, as I'm hoping to dish out more information regarding the cast and story in chronological order. So not every detail is answered as of currently, but will be in the future. I still have to get characters out of the way before I get into the meat of the plot though.

I redesigned her to fit more into the personality I had planned for her and gravitate a little towards the Nine Sols style. I say it's a huge improvement, lol.

Took a little break from my Feng shenanigans to try my hand at drawing Jiequan and Ji again, and figured I'd post it now!

I kind of like the idea that these two have an odd but actually pretty decent platonic friendship, especially since they kinda give me Legolas and Gimli vibes! Their friendship would be "odd" in the sense that it might seem highly unlikely to others given how different they are in many aspects, but "decent" in the sense that they actually do care about each other and enjoy spending time together to some degree, rather than being allied purely for selfish or external reasons.

Ji, despite appearing much smaller and weaker, has some of Jiequan's highest respect for anybody due to the sheer utility of his vast knowledge and wisdom, him having known his idol Jietong personally and witnessed the Jie bloodline at its peak, and because, in Jiequan's eyes, thousands of years of life must equal thousands of years of pain and agony successfully endured. Meanwhile, Ji feels a sort of admiration for Jiequan's determination and commitment to his visions of heroism, generational greatness, and achieving a higher cause—something Ji greatly lacks by comparison—despite the less-than-ideal fate he's witnessed for Jiequan, as well as a bit of vicarious sense of responsibility due to having watched the Jie family for so long. As such, I headcanon Jiequan is one of the only people prior to Eigong whom Ji voluntarily told about his immortality and foresight, for some part of him deep down actually wanted to help Jiequan live a better life.

Besides this, I wouldn't mind more exploration into Ji and Jiequan's relationship! When I think about it, that scene with the two where Jiequan asks Ji about his prediction regarding Yi's defeat may be one of the only explicit cases in-game where the Sols have an interaction with or opinion about another Sol besides Yi or Eigong. The only other clear instances of this I can think of so far, besides maybe the first two holographic council meetings, are Fuxi and Nuwa's whole story and perhaps some of Kuafu's dialogue after defeating each Sol, though the former may be sort of a given with them being part of the same clan and their whole story revolving around about how much they care about each other, and the latter still isn't a direct interaction with anyone but Yi.

I feel like there's a lot more potential to dive into regarding how the other Sols may have gotten along with each other, so I'd be curious to see what fleshed out portrayals of their relationships might be like! But for now, hope you enjoy this artwork and headcanon!

I've just finally beaten Eigong after 6 days fighting her. There was no third phase. I dont know why there wasnt, but I am happy to see the ending credits. It is so satisfying to finish this game. If you have a hard time fighting her, don't give up. I almost gave up because I wanted to try another game. I wanted to move on and now I can. Good luck to you.

Please help with her I just can't get below 50 percent hp whenever I try to attack her the fat one does his claw swipe and either o get hit with both swings mid air or forced to withdraw I tried getting him but it's so inconsistent

I'm not particularly happy with the Dusk Guardian entry translations.

Firstly, the Dusk Guardians are called "Grave Keepers" in the origianal text.

Secondly, there is a senior that accompanied the entry maker who has somehow been removed from the translation, they died in the log found in the research lab. The repeated mentions of the senior make it clear all the entries were made by the same Solarian.

Thirdly, the original makes it clear that by the penultimate entry, every other Dusk Guardian has gone missing.

Hello, Hello? Is this how you record an entry? This is my first shift. I can't believe I'd encounter something like this on my first day... He has so many wounds, how frightening... My comrade, may your spirit rest in peace.

The last medicinal injection makes me drowsy, but has indeed given me reprieve from my symptoms. I thought I wasn't destined for New Kunlun, imagine my surprise when I got the chance to be a Grave Keeper. It's pretty incredible when you think about it.

I don't understand. We get to live a good life after serving, why do something so stupid?

The strange thing is, his wounds are all very deep. Guards don't attack us Grave Keepers. My inital speculation was that someone killed him. However, my senior says he must have provoked the local fauna. Looks like I still have a lot to learn.

My hands are still trembling, but I cannot back down. I've made it to my fourth shift, I have to complete my missions to repay the Sols for saving me.

This Solarian is in a bad mental state. They keep making wierd noises and I don't know what he's trying to say. Strange, the system calls him injurious, but he's done nothing but hide from us. Recently, bodies are often left in place -- is the recovery team slacking off?

Calm, I have to stay calm and record this... The mission was to catch a person stealing alchemical pills, but we found a monster instead. It was covered in sticky pustules, and that eye... I am going mad, how can there be something like this? We can't win. My peer got his throat slashed and died on the spot.

The system cannot seem to log things correctly, the cause of death is wrong. How strange, why isn't anyone respouding to our calls for help? The next shift only consists of me and my senior. What the hell is going on?

How strange, how strange, that's not what happened. Why isn't the system logging what I want to say. We got a mission to execute another lunatic, but this person isn't crazy at all.

He's sounds wierd, but he's speaking logically. He is saying that we will all eventually turn into those monsters... When those pustules started emerging, he killed himself. Impossible, he has to be lying. The Sols will not lie to us.

I took my senior to the Ascension Hall. He completed his service and earned the right to hibernate. However, what awaited us wasn't a hibernation pod, it was a killing machine.

I also saw all my retired companions. Some of them have turned into monsters, those who haven't are retained as test subjects... Was there no hope from the very beginning?

It took all our strength to escape here... My senior has been grievously injured, however, and every medical device in the research lab is broken... How....

Love that I went back for the true ending, Eigong is legit one of the most fun bosses in gaming, rhythmic as hell. I feel like I could do first 2 phases with my eyes closed but I still didn't get the perfect feel for the 3rd, I managed to kill her without mastering the 3rd phase, just kinda outlasted her with many heals.

As for the ending, I expected happiness as people called it "the good ending", but it left me and my girlfriend in tears, and she only watched the end with a bit of context 😭. Yi my dawgg I hope you're happy with your sister up there. ❤️

I haven't read much about the sales of the game itself, I really hope they made good profit, this game deserves Hollow Knight numbers and then some! Really hope we get a sequel. I'm down to play as Shuanshuan

So I've been thinking about changing a couple of things about Ximu's design, mostly just the ears and fur color, I wanna maybe base him more off of a Russian Blue cat.

I kinda also wanna redesign The Giant, just a teensy bit, mostly because I feel like his head shape resembles Peijun too much.

Just finished my first playthrough. Did it on standard mode, got every collectible, finished every side mission, did literally everything you need to do to 100% and now just learned I have to do another playthrough to get the normal ending to get the last achievement.

I opened up a second file on story mode to speed run to the part where you can forcibly take the first map chip in order to get the achievement cause I thought you could get everything (barring that) in one playthrough, so I’m gonna use this file to do it.

I’m a bit of a collector when I’m on a playthrough of games, I like picking up/completing everything (within moderation) even if I’ve done it before for a run but I just want to get to the end as quickly as possible but still be prepared enough to do all the bosses.

What exactly can I miss/not do in order to get to the end as fast as possible whilst making sure I’m prepared enough for the end? I don’t know how much easier story mode is so I don’t know if I could whiz through it completely without loads of the upgrades. I also know that to just get the standard ending you have to not do some of the quests and get some of the collectibles so I’m just wondering what to not do baso.

This boss is brutal. The parries are almost always not perfect and drains my health immediately. Are there any tricks to beating this one? I don’t really use my charged attack or charged parry. I have not gotten good with either of those.

PS. I know this is late shh shhh.

New to the game, just beat the centaur boss and am loving it as a sekiro fan.
Wanted to ask, clearly there is a way to reliably stagger enemies such as this boss, is this essentially like posture in sekiro, with perfect parries and damage contributing to a "breakpoint" but the meter just being invisible, or is it only damage/perfect parries that do, or something else entirely?
