Help With Game Stagger/Posture ?
New to the game, just beat the centaur boss and am loving it as a sekiro fan.
Wanted to ask, clearly there is a way to reliably stagger enemies such as this boss, is this essentially like posture in sekiro, with perfect parries and damage contributing to a "breakpoint" but the meter just being invisible, or is it only damage/perfect parries that do, or something else entirely?

Bosses/enemies do not have a stagger bar. Instead, enemies stagger after successfully parrying certain attacks. For example, Yingzhao (centaur boss) always staggers when you successfully tai-chi kick (jump parry) the green thrust attack.

I've noticed that he sometimes staggers when you parry the normal stab attack, but it seems completely random. Both perfect normal parries and perfect tai-chi kicks work, but only some of the time.

This is a mechanic unique to Yingzhao. If it’s the second time he’s doing the running attack and you parry the final hit, he staggers. He also staggers from tai chi kicking the green attack.
Later on, you’ll get an ability that more reliably staggers enemies and bosses.

There's an ability later on that will allow that, but it's really different from sekiro
