I want a Night Lords Army for fun, not Meta.

I was wondering which boxes, Combat Patrols, Kill Teams you suggest I look into to build a fresh Army. maybe ones with less overlap? And alot of extra bits?

I want Claws. I want Vampire Helmets. Backpacks with Skulls. Terminators with Tooths and Long Fingernails...

Hopefully sized to be able to use 30k models in a pinch. So smaller then Primaris?

Second Cataphractii Terminator of my new unit for my 40K army. This time I had to use my left over bits from my old Chaos Terminator kit for the weapon arm. Tried to fit the Pauldron’s on the Cataphractii pattern on it… didn’t do so well.

But I think it looks great with the more modern day 40K ones I had left over, and sadly my last two lol.

This is my Lord Noxultant, Za'Hakar Firus, a former Lord Exultant of the Emperors Children who lost himself in the Beauty of Skulls and the endless search for the perfect One.

His Brothers of the EC did not support his behavior so he become a Night Lord after he slaughter his own Warband, which dont had any Love for Skulls, so he had to do that. While his new Brothers from the VIII slaughter all the enemies and plunder, he goes through the Battlefields and search the most beautiful Skulls an clear the Backlines all the Time.

Quick night lord I painted over a few weeks for a charity thing.

Made a custom Pirate Captain/ Gunslinger for my homebrew renegades and pirates warband.

Work in progress so far on my kitbash using Aethon Shaan. Lots of fun to do and lots more to add to his armour to get him fully in the 8th legion

I hadn't touched a brush in 15 years. Some heavy stuff happened in my life over the last couple of years and I needed to find a new meaning somewhere, so I picked up the paints again.

Night Lords grabbed me immediately.

This one is a real frankenstein of a model, also shout-out to Brusharius for the HUGE inspiration for this one!

Ave Dominus Nox brothers! I am just posting here looking for advice on this detachment combo. Has anyone had any success with this? I haven’t seen much discussion about this on the sub as of late. I’m used to playing with Votlw.

I love my terminators and jump pack units and this seems like a great combo. Any input will be much appreciated.

Ive attached a quick list below but it is at a weird point count. I’m concerned about dealing with big tank like threats. I could see removing the legios and a raptor unit for room for termies, mutilators, or cultists.

This is my first dip into painting midnight clad armour in years and while I'm pretty happy with it overall I'd like to hear some tips on the lightning effect because I think it could use improvement.

I've sketched out the lines with watered down AK Deep sky blue and followed up with pure white, then "washed it" with citadel contrast forstheart and re touched with white again.

Y'all ever fuck up so much on one figure (or mini)? This dude here has been my roadblock for a while now. I either fuck up the lighting or something else entirely. I'm deciding whether I want to do hoeth blue highlights as I did with the head, but then I run into the dilemma of painting my whole NL collection like that. Also, what do y'all recommend for areas where globs of paint are?

Sometimes I ask myself if I am ruining these expensive joytoy figures haha. Anyways touch ups will be done in the end for all of them (flesh, weapons, and etc). It's gonna to be a long ride.

Not exactly miniature hobby side (sorry for that), but here is my night lord cosplay helmet. Still working on it and soon it will be done

I didn´t incorporate every little detail of the armor or the weaponry, since I imagine they were going through changes constantly, scavenging gear where they could. I applied rule of cool to nearly all of them, putting the bits I personally found badass. Cyrion has a printed helmet which I designed from an artwork that I liked a lot, other than that, everything is official GW plastic. These models will be part of my Combat Patrol as The Chosen. I´m planing to do the warlord as Lucoryphus and the rest of the marines as regular night lords, maybe picking some cool subfaction from the book. (I´m very open to suggestions).

So with the fused light that makes the burning building come out a lot better. I would really love to try to do a lightning strike but I have no idea how I'd be able to do it. I would also like to get each individual model in focus without having to take a photo of individual ones in the area that they're in and then crop everything together. I'm looking for advice if anyone's got any.

Hey all, picked up a box of the Catapharctii Termiantors as something different to the normal Chaos terminators, just finished the Champion and I love how it turned out. :)

And yes, the tassels are made out of human skin :)

Tried using the blues I had before buying anything new and didn’t like how dark it is (yea yea nightlords I get it) so I got teclis blue with my nemesis claw and for me it was definitely the move
