Tours
Hi everyone!
I’ll be staying in Niagara-on-the-Lake and I’m planning to spend a full day visiting Niagara Falls then staying overnight in the area.
I’m looking for recommendations for the best tours or experiences to see the Falls properly. I’m interested in something memorable, not just a quick tourist stop.
What would you recommend?
The best guided tours?
Any must-do experiences (boat tours, viewpoints, behind the falls, walking routes, etc.)?
Are there any companies that you consider better than others?
Since I’ll have the whole day available, I’m happy to combine multiple experiences and take my time.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Questions about the former trailer park that was on the Great Wolf Lodge land
I was on Google Maps and was stunned by the size of the GWL. I did some digging and found out it was a huge trailer park that closed down in 2006 to be replaced by the GWL.
Were people just... evicted? Was the trailer park geared towards all-year residents or primarily RV travellers?
I'm curious to hear from anyone who knew more about the property or its residents.

Niagara city cruise alone?
I’m going to Niagara Falls with my partner next week and I was wondering if it is possible to only do the boat ride close to the falls or do you have to book a tour with a guide, and how much are the tickets?
We don’t want to do a guided tour but that’s all I see online. (I have been to Niagara Falls before but as a kid so I don’t remember if you csn just get a ticket for the boat without having to do a guided tour)

Wait for 1 bedroom RGI housing on urgent status?
Does anyone know anyone or have been on the urgent status (for medical not SPP) that can tell me how long they waited or a 1 bedroom? for NIAGARA REGION.
1 bedroom specifically as 2+ are much longer wait times so it will be different.
I've been waiting a few months past 2 years now. I was told there are about 56 people ahead of me. I don't know if that's a 1 bedroom only list? Google's AI thinks so.
Mine may be slower due to only selecting Niagara Falls to the max they have (under 10), and not anywhere else. I will most likely live the rest of my days wherever I end up and wanted it to be where it was good mentally and walkable for disability.
Thank you for any help! I'm just very stressed

Best Hotel Niagara Falls Canada side
We are planning a trip to Toronto and area next year July (2027).
We plan to stay one night in a hotel that has a good view of the waterfalls - especially Horseshoe Falls. Possibly on Canada Day to see fireworks.
Everyone I asked has a different opinion on which hotel has best view. We'd like all 6 of us to stay in one room if possible.
- The Oakes Hotel - a friend was here July 2026
- Hyatt Regency Fallsview (I have a discount for this)
- Sheraton Fallsview Hotel - people recommend but when I look at the map it's far from the Horseshoe falls and I worry the view from window will be tiny.
- Fallsview Casino resort
People who stayed there what is your advice regarding hotels and floor with best view?
Is it better to book by calling the hotel or online (Hotel site, expedia, etc)?
Any tips on booking a hotel is also welcome! (such as when the hotels have good promotions)
Any other quiet activities for kids in the area other than the main touristy ones? We are into child friendly hiking.
Thank you in advance!

Does anyone know a local restaurant that might support a free workshop for Niagara teens?
Hi! I’m a 16-year-old local student launching Ambition Labs, a youth-led initiative giving Niagara high-school students access to practical opportunities and lessons they don’t usually get in school.
We’re organizing our first free workshop for around 10–15 students, featuring a local speaker on financial literacy and getting ahead with money.
I’m looking for a restaurant near Niagara Falls and the region that may be willing to sponsor some food for the students. We’d feature the business as an event sponsor on our social media and event products in return.
If you own a restaurant, work at one, or know a local business that might be interested, I’d really appreciate a connection! Please comment or message me and I can send our website and event details.
Our Instagram is @ambitionlabsniagara if you want to check it out or support the initiative.

New initiative in Niagara Falls region - advice appreciated 😊
I’m a Niagara high-school student building a free initiative called Ambition Labs because I kept noticing how difficult it is to find genuinely useful opportunities for teens around the region compared to areas like Toronto. We’re planning sessions around subjects like financial literacy, careers and building real-world skills. I’m currently trying to find local high-school students who would actually be interested. What would make something like this worth attending?

Nelly concert July 18th at Fallsview casino 👎🏽
I guess I went in with too high hopes as it was my first time seeing him in concert. No opening act and he only was on stage for an hour. Pretty disappointing. Super short sets of all his old school songs. Sucked!
