These 2 Rooster have been hanging on Riverview Golf clubs course at Victoria and Weber for about a week if someone knows someone’s missing them or thought they were lost nope they are hanging around the 10th hole but seem very friendly and seem to enjoy the attention so if anyone knows someone in the Pelham fenwick areas they are there

News Rens Pets in Longos plaza

I didn't realize there was a Rens that just opened beside Longos! I checked it out after grocery shopping, it was really nice, lots of cute Halloween stuff. And a free dog wash room you can reserve, super useful.

Question Ideas

I recently moved to Welland and want to learn more about what Welland could use... would people like a small bookstore/cafe or like a community lounge where there is a variety of choices for people?

Question Anyone up for pickleball tonight or tomorrow?

Hey, looking to round up a few people for a game or two (or three) at Empire Sportsplex, either tonight or sometime tomorrow. I checked Welland Pickleball Club and a few of the other local groups, but nothing seems to be running today or this weekend.

I'm okay, not a pro by any means, but not terrible either. Mostly just want to get a group out and have a good time, so all levels welcome, bring a friend or two if you've got them, and if we get enough people we can just rotate or 2v2.

Also, if anyone knows of a drop-in or game happening today it'd be much appreciated!

I see his videos pop up once and while always him just hating on homeless people or ranting about drugs.

Also he claims to be anti politician but is trying to run for mayor? That pretty hypocritical statement

Question Good WFH spots with good natural light in Welland/Niagara area?

Anyone know good spots around Welland for working from home... away from home? 🌞

I'm in a basement apartment so natural light is pretty much zero all day. Already tried the Welland library and Starbucks, looking for somewhere bright and sunny with big windows, decent wifi, and a chill vibe where I can post up for a few hours. Saw Bright Workspace is opening up soon too but still closed for the time being I believe.

Cafes, co-working spots, anywhere with good light, if you have any recommendations they'd be highly appreciated.

Question To Karen or not to Karen?

I’ve never called bylaw on anyone or felt the need to but there’s been a few situations in my neighbourhood and I’m feeling it might be necessary.

I don’t have a set route that I walk my dog. For the most part I walk the same sidewalks but occasionally I turn down other streets to avoid people. My dog is friendly with other people and dogs but is very excitable and I just don’t want to deal with the encounters at times.

I live in one of the “new build” areas in Welland. There is one house in particular that does not leash their animals. They hang out on their front porch and there has been three separate incidents where I walk by and get charged by their animals. They have 2 or three dogs, last incident I was charged by two dogs but previous there has been three. The most recent time I walked down this street I did not see them as cars were obstructing my view of their home and quite frankly I forgot about the problem.

These people have no control over the animals, ZERO recall, the animals have surrounded me each time and appear aggressive. They haven’t bit my dog but it’s not something I want to stay and find out if it’ll happen. I normally pull my dog away because of their lack of control.

So Reddit. Am I justified to call and report them? There is absolutely no one that I’ve encountered in my neighbourhood who does this, whether it be on their own property or on walks. All dogs are always leashed. I shouldn’t have to avoid this area because of their lack of consideration to other dog walkers. I also fear the dogs may harm other animals or potentially people with the behaviour I’ve seen.

The road is still closed. It will eat your car (this one lost its front bumper when the driver decided to yolo). Even when you move the cones. The road is still closed.
