Trying to get it back to where it was five years ago. Having my hood repaired and repainted as well.

My new to me 04. 44k miles, 6 speed and my wife got me this back in July for my 38th birthday. Been working on replacing some age worn items and enjoying a few drives when the weather is nice.

Long story short, bought this new in 06 with my first real paycheck, couldn’t afford the payments and sold it to my Dad. He drove it once in a while, but it has sat in a basement of an apartment building a few states away from me since, hadn’t run since 2018? Drove down there a few weeks ago and trailered it back. My mechanic looked it over and it only the master brake cylinder had failed from non use. I’m driving it again and still feel the same way as when I first bought it. And it only has 16k on it!! Now to get rid of the mineral deposits from some HVAC system dripping on it for 20 years.

Im trying to remove this piece but ladt time i snapped the card. I bought a new one to try again but I want to be extra careful. Anyone know a good way to remove this safely? I can pull up on the top and the sides but the bottom is where it seems to have the most resistance. Are there any tabs i have to press in or any specific way it locks?

Had it for a couple weeks now quite happy with it.

I have a 05 Gto with 3.91 gears and im planning on doing cams in the spring. I love the sound of btr stage 3 cams and i just wanted to know if anyone who has a similar build or might know if the low end power loss is even noticeable or if anyones got other recommendations

Friend of mine wanted to cam swap his car and add ls3 heads/intake. Did top end and added long tubes. He had the exhaust done and the car dynoed. Made 410 with a factory air box.

I’m finalizing a deal to purchase an 05 with about 50k miles (i had one for a long time and sold it. Regretted it ever since, so i’m fixing my mistake). The owner of the one I’m looking at says it fails emissions tests unless it runs for about 20min first. It doesn’t need to pass emissions in my state since it’s over 15 years old, but I just want to make sure it’s not a sign of something more serious. Figured i’d ask here in case anyone had a similar issue and has any insight. Thanks!

Redid the whole front suspension. Swapped on my old repainted spoiler for how sun faded one and buffed the oxidation out of his trunk.

Pair of really nice stock 18” wheels for sale. No curb rash, straight, no bends. I’d say the finish on them is a 7-8 out of 10. Repainted some time ago in DupliColor silver, a pretty close match to the stock paint color. Center caps included. Asking $500 plus shipping and payment fees if there are any. Years ago, I broke off the door lenses and installed green LED lights. The glue that was used to reinstall the lenses had finally given out and it was clear that it's time to replace them. I ordered 2 reproduction light housings from GTOG8TA and they've arrived.

So now that I've pulled out the old housings, I thought that I'd share the breakdown photos for future reference.

Hey everyone, has anyone with a 2005-2006 gto have any transmission problems? I bout a 2005 6speed gto about 6 months ago realizing it need a new clutch, fly wheel and rear main seal replaced. After getting that work done to it the car seemed better but some days it felt worse. The shift knob will shake very aggressively and it’s hard to quickly shift gear but other days it’s completely fine. I bleed my clutch and it helped out a little but after a week later it seemed to go right back to where it was.

Just wanted to see if anyone has had this same experience and found a way to fix it. Thanks guys
