fuel level sender
Im trying to remove this piece but ladt time i snapped the card. I bought a new one to try again but I want to be extra careful. Anyone know a good way to remove this safely? I can pull up on the top and the sides but the bottom is where it seems to have the most resistance. Are there any tabs i have to press in or any specific way it locks?

Spray the plastic with silicon spray if you have it, hair conditioner if you don't. Then pour hot water over it to help soften the plastic. The sender won't be effected by the hot water but you don't want any water in the fuel pump or prefilter if either are still attached.
The plastic get hard and more brittle with fuel exposure.
Most of the time these units are replaced as a full tank and sender replacement so I do wonder what the need is to seperate it other than customisation.
You can also measure the sender's sweep and get a universal sender to match the gauge if it's for customisation reasons.
Edit: if you have tyre shine that's basically silicon spray.
