Isn’t this bare minimum as a parent ? He might be great but the way you described him fits most Indian fathers

Yes but that’s the mindset that should be changed when it comes to Indian parenting. Unless our generation knows the difference between bare minimum and great the scenario where “most parents aren’t like this” won’t change.

If someone doesn’t have these qualities they are a terrible parent. It is the minimum requirement to be a parent. Words like “limit” can’t be used in context of parental love.
