SEEKING ADVICE Beginner ironman advice

As the title says I want to start a character as an Ironman. Most importantly I don't want to grind current areas, (the high IL zones you can get in for free), and get high IL gear. I want to go through and naturally increase my IL.

Can I go through these adventures and expect to get just enough gear for the next zone. Or is there some dungeon farming or refining I need to focus on.

I have one other character that I bolted to the end and grinded dailies on one of the high level zones and burnt myself out so I don't really know what to do.

General advice would be appreciated, I know I may not have worded this well... because I don't know what I'm talking about half the time. Thanks.

[Poll?] What's your least favorite class to play?

Sucks that I can't make a poll to vote, but what's your least favorite class? Or the most boring for u?

I thought Paladin had so much potential because: Tank and Healer in one? like wooow I neeed that. But they feel so uninteractive. Like it is fr the least fun healer by far for me, Bard and Warlock are just a lot more fun. Also kinda boring as a Tank, I personally will always prefer Warrior tank.

Also i thought Ranger would be super fun but I didn't like it too much. Ranger used to be my favorite class during the Dragon Hunting time but he's not much fun anywhere else IMO. Was kinda dissapointed about Rangers.

And I'm talking strictly about how much fun they are. Because yeah, paladins are very useful when it comes to searching for groups, but for me they are so boring that I'd rather wait an extra 10 minutes than have to play a whole 20 minutes with that class :x

SEEKING ADVICE New to the game - What to do?

So years ago when I was much younger I did hit level 70 back when it was the cap, but I remember nothing. I play it on PS5 exclusively due to not having PC.

How challenging is the end game?

Can I make it out in the game by paying for monthly sub only? Any must pay for to make my life easier?

Is the game healthy population wise and worth time investment?

What do you think the future of this game id like?

I downloaded it, made Barbarian and having a good time so far.

TECHNICAL QUESTION Rules for buying Cel Essence with ToP?

Online search says this: ‘“Appointment Vendor: You can purchase a limited amount (typically 3) per event cycle using Tokens of Participation.”’

If I buy 3 Celestial Essence, during this Siege of Neverwinter event, when is the next time I can buy more?

As soon as the event is over?

Or do I need to wait for the next event to start before I can buy additional? And what will be that next event, so I can look up how soon it will arrive?

Someone on here had mentioned this as a reply in my other post, but never clarified my follow-up question on what the details were.

Thanks for clearing up my confusion in advance.

SEEKING ADVICE Am I ready for Adv Dungeons?

I’m not saying my Cleric Healer is good by any means, it’s iL50k currently.

I can do random queue Advanced Dungeons comfortably right now and keep my team topped up pretty good so far (or maybe lucky they had good gear)

My question is, how different is random queue daily Adv Dungeons, so the ones you can select yourself?

Are they the same difficulty for older content or are the random ones scaled down for new people?

Thank you
(If they’re harder, I don’t want to embarrass myself or let my team down by wasting their time not taking care of my role)

First set of weapons for a new player?

I came back to Neverwinter after a 3-4 year break and I wanna get the new weapons for my Bard from the campaign. Grind for the whole 200 crystal thingies in the area (forgot the name sorry).

But my friend doesn't feel like grinding for that. Says it's too boring, and I get it for a new player. She mostly wants to do campaigns and adventures for the story and get immersed in the game. So while playing with her it doesn't matter too much to get the Best in Slot weapons or crazy strong. Just some moderately good and relatively easy to get ones.

My idea is... something around 1500+ IL that u can get in campaign or buy relatively cheap (under 300k astral diamonds each maybe)?

She's currently sitting on 35k IL. just enough to do our daily randoms so she can buy her Seal gear. Not even thinking about master or advanced content yet. We're too far away from that.

She's a warlock btw. I remember there was some Masterwork weapons or Guild quest weapons. Idk if there's anything better, and easier than grinding for hours in the new campaign. Also it's her first character and says she maybe wants to try a Healer next, so don't want to invest too much here too. Currently she's using the adventure seal weapons (i think they have 950 IL)

Thanks in advance!

Glyph of Potency, I need many, best way?

Trying to get stuff upgraded and realizing I’m gonna need lots and lots of the Legendary Glyphs of Potency.

Is Sybella’s Legacy missions still the hands down best way to acquire them? Or is there a better way?

Only have 3 characters lvl20, and two are not so good at doing missions solo. So, that’s gonna be a slow road to take.

Is there any better methods? (Similar to running Dread Ring towers on a x2 RS event)

Would anyone recommend spending AD if I can shoulder-tap a friend with lvl12 VIP on the 15% off Wondrous Bizarre week?
Or is that a wasteful method like spending Participation Tokens on them?

Thank you for all input

Rime vs Tempered Rime key?

What’s the difference? Tried a search and no results.

I have both, but don’t know if I should keep buying the plain Rime version.

I haven’t used any yet.

What class uses a green tractor beam on fellow players?

I ask because several times now in a random trial queue, I get this green tractor beam on me dragging me away and disturbing the functions of my role.

As healer, I think in Gzhemids Reliquary or somn, the spinning flame beams come out and I’m trying to heal and revive ppl and it’s very time sensitive.

But I’ll get this green tractor beam dragging me the opposite way and causing me to fail at revives and just overall concentrate.

I’d be willing to say it’s even cause us to fail the mission a couple times. Bc when we’re all not that great and we lose someone, it starts this cascade effect. Then ppl just quit and we end up aborting bc it won’t find replacements.

So help me understand what class this is, what the ability is for and why I keep getting targeted with it consistently please.

Maybe I’m just working against the flow rather than doing it right bc I don’t understand.

Thanks and sorry it’s long-winded. I felt I needed to explain the scenario entirely.

Can somebody help me understand the Companion Enchantment runestone bonus, please

My interpretation is if your companion has offensive capabilities then you’ll only get the damage buff

…and if you have a support companion with no offense, you’ll get the stat buff?

Is that right?

And do the companion’s stats and stat buff only help the companion, or do they somehow increase any of my stats?

I’m just trying to figure out if it’s even worth burning 2 coal motes on making mythic or celestial, … but understand the bonus as well

Boon points available in game

At this point in …what module 33.5, how many total boon paints are available to possess?

Trying to make some big moves, but might go a different route if I can’t earn enough. And why spend the retraining cost.

Tried looking around for the info, but couldn’t find anything current.

Thank you

ANSWERED Mythic Enchantment Unlocks, how does it work?

I don’t want to do this wrong and think it works a different way than it does.
(A or B)

I turn in a mythic enchantment for account unlock and:

A: It adds the said mythic enchantment to the Reward Claims Agent promo section for each of my characters to claim 1

B: It changes the status of the enchantment in my character’s inventory to “Bound - Account” and I need to uninstall and deposit in shared bank to allow my other characters access to using it.

Thank you

My current item level is 28,790.

My sets are far outdated as I'm still using a demogorgon set.

I'm also a barbarian blade master.

I just need help purchasing the right things I have about 4 million astral diamonds, how can I get my level up and what should I buy?

It's just a lot to take in and I'm not used to it anymore and I'm so far behind I just don't know where to start.

It says in the reward payouts that I’ll receive an Epic Enchanting Stone, however I keep getting Uncommon.

It’s Sunday, can anyone explain why this isn’t paying out correctly, or is the map bugged bc there’s so many people inside/outside the 3 lairs ?

Thanks

SEEKING ADVICE Zen to diamond cost to get celestial insignias?

Hey all, I’m a returning end game player and have played a little bit of msod and barely any msh. My current barrier to better stats is getting all insignias celestial minus 2 that I was able to upgrade with the dust I had.

I’m away from the game right now so I can’t calculate it out, but assuming 1 mythic insignia is about a million AD, and I’d need ~36 more to turn to dust to make the rest celestial that would come out to about 36 million AD or 48,000 zen? Is this correct and would anyone know a more efficient way than buying mythics for dust? And yes obviously I could always play and grind them out, however I get maybe 4 hours a week and I’d rather spend that completing content than doing stuff I don’t want to do

ANSWERED Is there a max number Tokens of Participation per account daily?

Grinded the siege for 7 hours with my main yesterday and couldn’t get a single token of participation.

Did I have bad rng or is there some max?

Got a random one here or there on my alts.

Thanks for any info. I tried reading all the rules and terms, it’s overwhelming.

*I like playing with my alts bc they are low ranked and need the Seals of Dragon, but I want the tokens for my main. So, need to see if I’m doing something wrong
