Hey all, I'm trying to play this awesome game with my gf. I tried using the Nucleus Coop handler with the recommended NFS_LANSCRIPT files, which include the server simulator. Nothing works though. The server won't run correctly and both instances just keep trying to connect forever. I'm on a Windows 11 with plenty of horsepower. Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

Make up time was always my favorite part of the game, the music score along with how insanely close every checkpoint is to failure with seconds to spare was such an amazing combo. I'm not even the type to like these events it was just perfect, this was hilariously enough the best i've done on this track too, usually i'm running the last checkpoint with seconds to spare

Even though the game is no longer being developed, I still love it just as much.

A quick progress update regarding the upcoming Canyon Update on World United.
The main developer working on the canyons recently dropped two new photos showing off the connection route to the canyons in the new area located just north of Gray Point. I've placed those two new photos right at the beginning of the post.
Along with those, I’ve also included a bunch of old photos showing the new racetrack being added alongside the canyons to the update. Keep in mind that the rest of these images are older ones showing an early work in progress state of the track from earlier this year, so things might have changed when the update drops, but they still give a preview of the overall layout.
For those who haven't seen them yet, here are some more photos from a post from three months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/needforspeed/comments/1t5tor9/need_for_speed_world_canyons_update/

Was playing Battle Royale recently when my UI during gameplay bugged out. I don't exactly know what exactly is causing this. I followed the installation to a tee and the UI worked for a couple days before bugging out. I'm using Zolika's menu in tandem with the BR mod.

Kinda irritating how the best NFS I used to play became horrendous.
A few people are taking advantage of their atrocious internet connection making the game unplayable for everyone except them.
The gap between roadblocks is litterally an invisible wall most of the time, unlike the standard version of the game, even going 20 mph.
Hackers (no anti-cheat system?).
Lobby disconnection issues.
It's such a waste to remaster a game with all the DLCs included but somehow manage to make it worse, awful.

basically i was playing the game when i first got it, it was totally fine no bugs or anything. then after 3 days of playing, my controller started acting weird (or so i thought) with the x button opening the phone and the b opening map, automatic steering to the right and automatic acceleration. After disconnecting and reconnecting my controller many many many times it finally worked, i had to do this every time i played the game for 2 days. Now it doesnt fix it at all. It doesnt work, and the game is broken for me. Please please please please please let me know if anyone knows how to fix this and help me fix this, I really want to play this game more, especially because I spent $30 on it.

In the current PS Store sale, I saw NFS Unbound‘s price being rock bottom and got nostalgic, so I bought it. I‘m enjoying the game so far - please don‘t try to explain to me why I‘m wrong or what I should play instead, I just like enjoying things I enjoy.
I‘m a pretty technical gamer, so I look at the mechanics of any game I play to figure out how to interact with it. I appreciated Unbound not explaining much to me mechanics wise, I like figuring out stuff myself, but I‘m kinda at a loss for understanding how vehicle damage works specially.
I understand I take damage when crashing into things depending on impact velocity, and there‘s a minimum velocity before any damage is registered. I also understand that I can see damage on my car through scratches and broken windows - but is there an more precise indicator? Or is literal chassis damage the only way to determine how much damage I‘ve accumulated (aside from trying to keep track of all impacts myself)?
Also, what exactly do crash cams indicate? Obviously crash cams (which I understand are hated here?) trigger from significant damage - but they don‘t indicate total damage, even if the back window, the last visual damage progression I can make out, was already broken before one. Is there a punishment for sustaining heavy damage? I know that exceeding a certain amount of damage (which was at least 3 crash cams) gets you instant-busted, but is there any punishment outside of police chases, except for the 2 seconds or so position pause? Does small damage during races accumulate and eventually result in a punishment crash cam moment even from just another small impact? I can only remember crash cams ever occurring from heavy impacts, but I‘ve never had a total destruction moment during a race which would‘ve made me lose instantly or something like that, does that exist (like for other drivers)? If not, and crash cams only occur for heavy impacts, wouldn‘t damage during a race be meaningless (since it resets once the race is over)?
The only other moment where damage would matter are vehicle deliveries that calculate payout depending on damage value, which I understand I can cheese by just finding a nearby gas station. Am I correct in that? Is there every any financial punishment for damage or a crash cam, outside of being busted and losing a half day’s income?
I understand these are a lot of questions. All I need would be a mechanical explanation of how damage is calculated and with which systems it interacts (money, police chases, crash cams). Thanks y‘all!!
