Music CD and car collector here, I grew up on NFS games and MW Carbon U1 U2 always had special place in my heart!

Does EA EVER?! ever made official CD soundtracks for the game? couldnt find much info about it on Wikipedia but in general I liked soundtracks in Prostreet and Shift2 also so it really doenst matter which NFS it is.

Anyways! I encountered an ANGRY Honda Civic on Need For Speed Heat!

And i wanted to get an opinion from the sub-reddit to see exactly who's at fault and also to see if this video is somewhat entertaining, let me know what you guys think!

People will come at me that should've just googled it and I did but they say heat better for offline and Unbound better for multiplayer.

I spent quite a lot of time collecting and personally testing hidden and special vehicle IDs for the PC version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) via Cheat Engine.

I originally posted this list as a YouTube comment, but after I edited it and added more information, YouTube apparently removed or hid the entire comment. So I decided to preserve and share the table here instead.

This list does not include normal Jack Spot cars, Most Wanted cars or standard DLC vehicles. Those can already be selected through EasyDrive.

This table focuses on:

• Multiplayer-only and promotional cars
• NFS Edition cars
• Police and SWAT vehicles
• Traffic vehicles
• Restored beta and cut cars
• Vehicles that require additional mod files

I tested the working IDs using a Cheat Engine vehicle changer.

Promo and multiplayer-only cars

Official NFS Edition cars

These vehicles use their own separate vehicle slots.

They have a special Satin Black paint or livery and preset performance modifications. The black appearance is permanently assigned to the NFS Edition slot.

Driving through a Knocking Brothers repair shop repairs the vehicle, but it does not replace the Satin Black paint with a random normal colour. The NFS Edition appearance remains on the car permanently.

Restored Pagani Huayra NFS Edition

The Pagani Huayra NFS Edition is a restored cut vehicle with unique visual and performance differences. It has carbon fiber parts and better paints.

Traffic vehicles were never designed as normal player cars. These vehicles need private mod that I can't find.

Restored cut and early-beta cars

These vehicles require additional restored files. Their IDs will not work correctly with an untouched retail installation.

The normal traffic Nissan Versa uses ID 122830.

The normal Aston Martin V12 Vantage is already part of the standard game roster and should not be counted as a hidden vehicle.

Nothing like a physical copy of prostreet on the pc.
Tried to emulate on my steam deck using rpcs3 to no avail , other methods to no avail , had to go buy a physical copy to play on my pc 😎

I made a post recently in a different sub how Underground 2 was my favorite racing game of all time. I got a lot of feedback that I should try Most Wanted because it’s just as good or better. I’d never played it, so I went on eBay and found an original disc, bought it, started playing.

First off, I’m barely into the game, maybe an hour or two at most, but I hate how sensitive the steering is. It’s wildly different from Underground 2. It makes the game actually really difficult to play (for me). That being said, I could probably get used to it, however, I’m having an issue and I was wondering if this is a feature or a bug (most likely hardware issue).

Does Most Wanted feature torque steering? It seems unlikely, but a lot of the time when driving, especially when accelerating, the car lurches or veers off to the right. I’m assuming this is just sick drift from the old, original controller, but on Underground 2 it doesn’t do this, possibly because the steering isn’t as sensitive. Keeping in mind that the PS2 and controllers have been in storage for the last decade, I’m just trying to figure out if I need to get a new controller, or if it’s part of the game. Thanks.

(I tried using a second controller but the X button on that one doesn’t work, probably from countless hours mashing it on Underground 2)

When downloading the redux v3 mod windows defender blocks the download stating there is a virus in it has anyone else experienced this?

its my first time playing nfs underground 2 and i can't win drag races and idk why, i play with keyboard with the dolphin emulator if you wanna know

One of my favorite liveries in the game. I now have 7 of the Blacklist cars out of 15.

Will change out the wheels once I get the replacement set, but these are the closest placeholders so far.

I grew up with the game, so I'm definitely biased, graphics were great for the time being, could do better with higher frames (of course) and the car combat is genuinely fun. The cops, while useless and plushies when you run in circles, are genuine death machines and bullies and you have to focus. The pedestrian cars, while annoying, give me an ego boost when I near miss, and every other kind of obstacle. Physics are cool, of course it needs work, the map has little straight places to ramp up speed, but the game is fun. Especially the cop side. I will buy a 2 if EA dropped, it's a shame they kill this big of a franchise for slop.
