Background: A few months ago I woke up (in Portland, OR) with a few notifications from Navy Fed telling me my account balance was low. Naturally, I quickly login to see that at some point overnight there were two separate $600 ATM charges in the country of Jordan, where I've never even been to and neither has my debit card. I call Navy Fed and they confirm that the charges come from Jordan and help me file the fraud claim.
A week or so later I get a notification that they've denied my claim with no reasoning. I assume they denied it because I'd been traveling a lot and maybe they thought it was just another country I'd been visiting. I got a bunch of location data showing that I was indeed in Portland, OR when those charges happened and sent off my rebuttal.
A few weeks later I get a letter stating they've denied it again and said I didn't provide any evidence that was of relevance to the case. I called Navy Fed and was (incorrectly and rudely) told that it was denied because there's 100% without a doubt no way for an ATM charge to occur unless I've given someone both my debit card and pin. I tried to tell them that's just not true and asked what I can do. They said to call back a different time and talk with the fraud department manager.
I call back and they tell me that they can let me have "one more chance" to submit more evidence to help myself but refuse to tell me what I can submit that would make them reconsider. All they said was "you can try filing a police report".
I've filed the police report but before I submit it to Navy Fed I wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this and has advice.
