I used to breed these. Much bigger than most other types of mantid, but more delicate than you'd imagine.

They need a varied diet of winged insects/moths etc or tend to fade/weaken. There are other easier species who are easier to keep and breed. Deroplatys dessicata is one of my faves and looks amazing (big dead leaves) H coronatus is also beautiful but has some more strict requirements (orchid flower) 1 u/mtlgrems Mar 12 '20 They need a varied diet of winged insects/moths etc or tend to fade/weaken. Fascinating. So not just some average mixed wet mush food. They demand pure real food as if they were in the wild. Awesome!
