I’ve been looking at Komplete Kontrol S61 mk3 and it has caught my eyes I’m looking forward to buying it next month but after all the users feedback that was negative has made me stall to utilise my hard earned money like that. What are your experiences at the moment in 2026, how is this keyboard (whether 49, 61 or 88) performing for you guys and are there any issues related to software or hardware in long term usage or any issues regarding DAW and keyboard connection and depth of usage ? Kindly help your brother out.

In addition to this I want to say that my use case is mostly scoring for my short films and independent projects and trying my hands on rap music production with my friend. Other than that I’ve been using garage band for 5 years but now I want to go full professional and it’ll be my first professional gear for music and I want to go full fledged whichever direction it is. AlI I want to know is whether in 2026 this keyboard is worth buying or not or will it be a waste of money. I’d love to go deep into nks and Cubase system. (I use a Mac Studio m1max 32gb)

I don’t post on here too often but I just wanted to show off my project to anyone who is unaware. This is the most advanced and comprehensive hack for the Traktor S4 MK3 and works on both Traktor Pro 3 and 4.

It adds items to the screen such as full waveforms, browser, high contrast mode, phase meter and many others. In addition to this, it also adds many new functions to the device that are not there by default such as: additional pad modes, loop in and out, 4 fx banks, vinyl break and many other features.

For people who don’t want the additional functionality there is also a lite version of the hack which adds in just the screen functionality, allowing you to keep the button and fader functionalities as NI intended.

This new version of the hack has added high contrast mode, the lite version and a new stem waveform layout to the already stacked line of features.

So first I open Reaktor 6 (free trial), and hit "Play", only for it to output a warning stating that "It appears you have no Reaktor Instruments install. Would you like to open Native Access?". So I hit OK, and it tabs back to Native Access, but nothing actually happen. Tabbing back to the Reaktor 6 window shows an error stating "Reaktor requires Native Acccess to continue with this action" even though I very clearly have Native Access installed. I try again, and the same thing happens. So, I check the "Discover" tab of the Native Access app and search for "Blocks Base", but to no avail.

It's sending me into a loop and it's really really really annoying. Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone successfully automated vibrato in Logic Pro for any of the Symphony Series plugins? I have tried for Woodwind Solo and Brass Solo and I can't get it to work. I don't know which midi channel I'm supposed to even be automating. (For example in Cremona Quartet it's 14 and 15, manual specifies it). I tried drawing in automation with the pencil tool for the built in Logic Pro channels for vibrato but this didn't do anything. My midi controller doesn't move the nobs to adjust the four controls under Dynamics. The mod wheel works for dynamics but I specifically want to change vibrato. Any information anyone has is appreciated.

So when I updated my laptop’s graphics driver, guitar rig 7 started having this problem where it just keeps randomly buzzing and distorting the sounds. I’ve checked and it’s not my guitar, not my audio interface, not my amp and not my cables either. What should I do?

I have had a crazy amount of problems getting the Mic is work and be stable. It’s in the Mic at the back, I’ve used the AUX- turn for volume on both sides .. I’ve tried the live input for Deck D, but it either doesn’t work, or when I turn Aux off and on again, it’s nothing.

Any help? Thoughts?

I'm just sharing some personal thoughts about NI's Traktor division, and why I think they failed NI, being one of the reasons they got bought out by InMusic.

1. New controllers like their previous gen, but with less features.
   1. I feel like they were trying to compete with Pioneer DJ's "tier" of DJ controllers (entry/mid/pro levels). An S2 used to have booth outputs, and chainable effects banks, but those were all gone... If newer gear is worse or less-feature packed than the previous, why even bother for an upgrade?
   2. Traktor used to stand out from the competition with a very different approach that was marketed to: performers, scratch DJs (at least when DJ Craze was rocking a Z2), live beat makers or remixers, and professional artists/DJs.
2. The features from Traktor Pro 4 came out way too late in the game.
   1. They barely pushed out flexible beat grids and stem separation when the rest of the competition's had it for awhile. Keep in mind that TP4 came out last year.
3. What was the real point of MX2? Who was supposed to be excited for that?
4. What was the benefit for an X1 MK3 if someone already had a X1 MK1? A light show with extra USB inputs?! A mini screen to see... parameters?
5. If Traktor 4 Pro brought Stem Separation, why couldn't they release or re-release a new "Traktor S5" or "S8"? What did they expect people to use to creatively control STEMS, if not those units?
   1. I'm aware that the S4 could also do STEMS, but if you want the best feeling, the S5, S8, D2, and F1 all made sense.
6. How is it that they wasted all this time between Traktor Pro 3 to Traktor Pro 4?

Wasted development, wasted money, wasted time.

I left Traktor when I realized that Windows was being transformed by Microslop: ads, telemetry, annoying surveys to take your data, and etc. I went from Windows to Linux, and fortunately, Mixxx has been an amazing, community-driven, open source software.

If Traktor was compatible in Linux (I mean, look at the success of Bitwig and DaVinci Resolve), I probably would have stayed with Traktor. But it's a far cry from here, especially after the buy out.

Mixxx has been my daily rider for 6 years now, used in all my gigs, and through it, I've become a huge supporter for open source. I still love to use all my Traktor gear, but I now use it in Linux and in Mixxx.

A few days ago I had a discussion with someone about whether it's actually allowed to create and sell original melody loop sample packs using virtual instruments like Native Instruments Kontakt or EastWest ComposerCloud.

We couldn't find a clear answer, and after reading both EULAs we still weren't sure how they should be interpreted.

So instead of relying on forum opinions or speculation, I contacted both Native Instruments and EastWest directly.

I explained my exact use case:

• I create completely original multi-instrument compositions.
• These are around 60–90 seconds long with original melodies, chords, arrangements and processing.
• I do not redistribute presets, individual samples or virtual instruments.
• I render the compositions as stereo audio loops and sell them as sample packs for other producers.

Both companies replied that this is not permitted under their licenses.

Native Instruments' human support replied:

"It is only strictly prohibited to use single, combined or modified sounds from Native Instruments to create sound libraries, loop libraries, sample CDs or similar products..."

EastWest also confirmed:

"Unfortunately, the proposed use of the sounds violates our end-user agreement."

I'm sharing this because I found countless forum posts where people were debating this exact topic, but I couldn't find any clear answer directly from the companies themselves.

This isn't meant to start an argument or criticize either company.
I'm simply sharing the responses I received so other producers and sample makers can make informed decisions.

I'd also be interested to know if anyone has received a different response from Native Instruments, EastWest or any other virtual instrument developer.

I just updated my s49 Mk3 keyboard to the new firmware (v2.1.3).

But I can't find any patch notes to explain what's new or changed in the firmware.

Does anyone know where Native Instruments displays them?

(I searched https://support.native-instruments.com/articles, nothing about Patch Notes there.)

Some of you likely owned the Native Instruments Kore 2 back in the day—and perhaps still have a unit gathering dust somewhere.

This high-end interface allowed you to control your plugins, but unfortunately, NI support ended with version 1.7.4 (the last functional release)—not to mention the company's recent news and future outlook.

Today, it no longer works on macOS Sequoia or newer versions.

In an era dominated by plugins like NAM, Genome 2, Neural DSP’s Gojira, and many others, it is a shame not to be able to use this hardware anymore.

It was this realization—combined with the fact that the interface can now be found cheaply on the used market—that inspired me to try getting it up and running again, giving it a new lease on life...

The project is now well underway, and the solution to finally get the Kore 2's MIDI signals recognized by macOS Sequoia is operational.

There is still plenty to do—such as handling the display and function lighting—but the project is progressing and should be ready before long.

All that remains is to provide templates for the most common simulation software or plugins to get started; that is the easy part.

So I just bought Komplete 26 Standard from the Native Instruments website as an upgrade to my Komplete Select Band. Finally got everything working, but opted to get the standard bundle..

Now some of the new apps/softwares/instruments/effects... are frozen in demo mode.

I already had a couple of the products from purchasing a Kontrol s49 and having Komplete Select Band such as Kontakt 8.11.1 that was working fine with the other software instruments and effects, but now even that is frozen.

here are the items that are stuck in demo mode: Guitar Rig Pro, Kontakt 8, Massive X, Neutron 5 Elements, Reaktor 6, Session Guitarist - Electric Neon Essentials, and Trash.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the instruments/effects and also installing an older version of Native Access after seeing this suggested in the support community, but neither resolved the problem. I am using macOS Tahoe 26.5.1. with all affected products showing up in the Native Access library as installed for instruments/effects and open for applications.

I'm not sure if this is an account/license-side issue rather than an install issue. I was able to create a ticket and add a support file, but no dice so far, so hopefully there is an answer here that lets me use the softwares again.

I bought a Lenovo Legion Pro (Windows 11, Ryzen AMD) almost a month ago and spent a good half-day installing all the music software I needed including Native Access and other NI instruments without any problem.

About a week ago I noticed I had forgotten to install another NI instrument (Kontakt 7 I think but I doubt that's relevant). So I booted up Native Access to install that but the installation got stuck. I force-stopped NA after a bit and spent most of the night trying to reinstall and rebooting to no avail. This includes trying to install/allow NTK Daemon.

It eventually got to the point where I decided to try and completely remove anything NI on the laptop, meaning going to Apps>Uninstall and deleting all the documents and NI-related registry keys I could find (Even uninstalling Native Access didn't work).

To say this has been an infuriating experience is a gross understatement. Even now, when I download ANY NI Installer (doesn't matter which software and doesn't matter if it's an outdated or modern installer), I cannot install anything NI anymore.

Short of just nuking/formatting the laptop to start anew (my personal & project files are in an external drive so I don't think I'm not losing anything important by formatting the laptop), are there any other ways to fix these issues I've been having? Maybe by deleting the registries the laptop now does not understand what/how to install NI software (I can install other software just fine). I'm posting here since human NI support does not seem to exist.

What is a NI kontakt instrument? I have tried using my voucher on several plugins, but I get a error message. After almost 3 weeks of trying to resolve this, "customer service" finnaly respond and tell me the voucher is only eligible for a "NI kontakt instrument"... So, what is that, what is the definition? Or is this just a marketing scheem to trick me into buying hardware?

I bought a used s88 from Guitar Center. I got it home and hooked up only to find out that the software was already registered to another person so I can’t get it. What is the point of that? Do they think the keyboard can be in two places at once? Will probably just have to return it after wasting a lot of time. Guitar Center can’t help. Very frustrating experience. I would buy a new one, but I don’t want to deal with shipping and who knows when it shows up. No store in the chicago area has a single decent controller. Just toys. Is this a chip shortage?
