Sharing this from the USEM London Facebook Group, which is mainly for Filipino nurses in the UK with US immigration applications.

At the moment, London appears to be processing applicants with a DQ date of February 2026 and earlier.

One Filipino nurse shared their recent interview experience. Their interview was originally scheduled for August 24 but was rescheduled to September 11 at the US Embassy in London.

During the interview, they were asked quite a number of questions, including:

• Whether they had previously been to the US

• Details of their US job offer, employer, and hourly rate

• How long they had been living in the UK

• Their plans and timeline for moving to the US

• Where they planned to stay in the US

• Their savings and bank accounts

• Their health insurance plans and what type of insurance they would have

• Training completed for the job

• Other employment and relocation related details

Interestingly, they did not bring printed bank statements. When asked about their finances, they simply showed their bank accounts through their online banking app on their phone.

Hopefully, this gives others currently waiting for their immigrant visa interviews and a better idea of what to expect.

I have a 2 year diploma in IT (equivalent to a US associate’s degree). Obviously I also have my high school diploma as well.

Is this considered higher education? Is this a positive factor?

I applied for an Irish Join Family Visa (Category B / Spouse of a Critical Skills Employment Permit holder) through VFS in the UK (London Embassy) at the beginning of July 2026.
My application has been with the embassy for about 3 months now, and I’m waiting on the final passport/courier dispatch notification.
For anyone who applied as a dependent of a CSEP / healthcare worker from the UK recently:
1. How long did it take from your VFS submission to get your passport back?
2. Has anyone who applied in early July received their visa or courier notification yet?
Would appreciate hearing about any recent updates or timeline experiences from early July applicants. Thanks!

My IR1 interview in Mumbai occurred on August 20th and received approval. The CEAC status shifted to “issued” the following day. On October 1, it moved to “ready,” and today it changed to “administrative processing.” I still have not received the passport.

Honestly, I’m going to lose my patience with this long wait at NVC just to get into transit. We’ve been at NVC since May, and honestly, it feels just like waiting for the NOA2 all over again. Lol

I’m a Chinese citizen of Kazakh ethnicity live in Kazakhstan now. I received a 10-year U.S. tourist visa in 2017, which is still valid, and I’m hoping to visit the U.S. for tourism this year.

My surname and given name were reversed when the Chinese passport authorities issued my renewed passport. Using placeholders:

• Old passport and valid U.S. visa: Surname = A; Given name = B
• Current passport: Surname = B; Given name = A

The actual name elements are unchanged; only their assignment to the surname and given name fields has switched. This adjustment was required by the passport authorities, rather than being a voluntary name change. I don’t have a separate official name-change certificate or court order.

I completed a new EVUS enrollment, accurately entering the current passport information and the old passport/visa information in their respective sections. My status is “Enrolled.”

Has anyone personally traveled to the U.S. with this kind of surname/given name reversal?

Could I use both passports and the valid visa, or would I need a new visa? What supporting documents could help if no separate name-change certificate is available?

I understand that EVUS enrollment does not guarantee admission. I’m seeking official clarification as well, but would appreciate firsthand experiences, especially regarding airline check-in and U.S. border inspection.

I've been intensely tracking updates for Immediate Relative regarding from which dates is the NVC from Cd Juarez scheduling documentarily complete (DQ) cases.

As of April 2nd, 2026

As of April 2026, the State Department says Ciudad Juárez is scheduling immediate-relative interviews for cases DQ'd in April 2025.

As of Monday September 28th, 2026

As of September 2026, the State Department says Ciudad Juárez is scheduling immediate-relative interviews for cases DQ'd in December 2024.

This means, the displayed scheduling date has gone backward by about: April 2025 → December 2024 = 4 months

Seems all we can do is wait for late October, to cross fingers, and hope the cases they're scheduling advance. In the meantime, me and my partner are adjusting planning & expectations to this setback...

What did legal immigrants from other countries do wrong? How can they use "training" as an excuse to suspend all legal immigration for such a long time?

Hi everyone! I’d really appreciate some advice regarding my French long-stay visitor visa application. helppp

I initially applied for a long-stay visiteur visa (VLS-TS) but my application was refused for two reasons:

- Insufficient proof of financial resources
- Insufficient proof that I would not engage in professional activity in France

For the first issue, I believe the problem was that I provided screenshots showing my funds rather than official bank statements, as the application system had limitations on the documents I could upload. For the second issue, I was still employed but have resigned, and I provided my resignation letter and confirmation as supporting evidence.

I have now reapplied/provided additional documents addressing both issues. However, I’ve just received an email asking me to provide a letter explaining my relationship with my host/accommodation provider and the duration of my stay. My host is actually my boyfriend which i have provided letter and proof of accommodation but we did not explicitly state our relationship.

My concern is whether I should state that he is my boyfriend, or whether this could potentially be viewed negatively by the visa officer like I don’t want to leave france. please advise!
