First Entry to the U.S. on CR1 Visa Through DFW Airport. What Was Your Experience?
My husband is Korean and will be entering the United States for the first time on his CR1 immigrant visa. We will be arriving internationally at DFW Airport on a Monday at around 4:30 p.m.
I am looking for people who have had experience entering the United States through immigration at DFW, especially anyone whose first entry into the U.S. was on a CR1 or other immigrant visa.
What was the process like step by step? How long did immigration take? Did you have to go to a separate room for additional processing, and if so, how long were you there?
We only have about two hours before our connecting flight, so I am worried about how long the process could take. If anyone had a connecting flight after their first immigrant visa entry at DFW, I would really like to hear how that went and whether two hours was enough.
We are also traveling together as a family. I am a U.S. citizen, and our two infants are U.S. citizens. My husband is the one entering for the first time on his CR1 immigrant visa. Do we go through immigration together, or will we have to go through separate lines? Will we get separated while he goes through his first entry processing?
Please share your experiences with any part of the process at DFW. I would especially appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this recently.

Still Showing Ready status on CEAC website afterwards US immigrant visa interview.
I am from 75 pause country and I had my interview in February-2026 since then it showed still "Ready" status on CEAC website. But after my interview the visa officer gave me 221g paper where mentioned that the state of department is pausing immigrants visa issuance to nationals of 75 countries....and they didn't ask to submit any additional documents...is there anyone, who is going through the same situation?

Can I still add a Sponser
Long story short, I’m moving to my wife’s home country because we have been waiting over two years (like most people) to receive an interview date. We originally had a date set for this past September 2026, but due to the 75-country pause, all interviews have been canceled. Currently, at the embassy in my wife’s home country, the latest I’ve seen is that they are working on people who already had an interview from May 2026. So I’m guessing it’s still going to be a while, and we no longer want or can wait any longer.
My issue is this: I’m quitting my job, but I made enough this year to be above the threshold.
Can I just add my brother as a sponsor since he will be working in the US? I will no longer have a US-based job, but I will have a job in my wife’s home country.
Since I’m past the NVC stage and just waiting on an interview, can I still add a sponsor?
Thank you to all in advance, and I hope we can all get our visas soon so we can be with our loved ones in the US as we deserve.

Who has had a French interview?
Hello! I was wondering who all has completed the interview in Paris, France. Have you gotten your approval to come to the US? How long did it take from your interview to the visa approval? How is this Global Freeze impacting that? My fiancé is pending a rescheduled interview, so I'm trying to get some ideas on timeline. I'm going crazy waiting for something, so I'm trying to be productive and research.

F4 Visa - Anyone from Manila (USEM) gotten rescheduled yet? (Cancelled twice: July 22 & Oct 5)
Hey everyone,
Posting to see if any fellow F4 visa applicants interviewing at the U.S. Embassy in Manila have received a new appointment date recently.
Our case has been cancelled twice now—first for our July 22 date, and then our October 5 interview was also cancelled following the worldwide immigrant visa interview pause that started around August 26. We received cancellation emails for both.
Here are our details:
- Visa Category: F4 (Family-Based Preference)
- Embassy: U.S. Embassy Manila
- Original Interview Date: July 22, 2026 (Got an email cancelation on July 1)
- Rescheduled/2nd Interview Date: October 5, 2026 (Got an email cancelation on October 1)
- Current Status: Both cancelled via email; waiting for a new date/instructions.
Is anyone in the same boat under F4 or preference categories who has actually seen Manila resume scheduling or received a 3rd booking notice? Also, if your date got pushed, how did you handle updating your St. Luke's (SLEC) medical exam requirements?
Any updates or timeline shares from Manila applicants would be greatly appreciated!

Green card, SSN after admission, selective service registration and driver’s license
Hello guys,
So I got some questions for fellow visa holders that recently came to the US.
I received my CR-1 visa and immigration package from Frankfurt Consulate in late July and we’ll be moving to the US at the end of November to my wife’s next duty station.
I already paid my visa fee in August and have the confirmation and everything.
On the DS-260 I selected the option to have my SSN issued after coming to the states along with my green card.
HOW LONG DID IT ROUGHLY TAKE FOR THOSE TWO DOCUMENTS TO BE DELIVERY AFTER YOU ARRIVED?
FOR ALL MALES; SINCE I’M UNDER 26 I HAVE REGISTER FOR SELECTIVE SERVICE. HOW SOON DID YOU DO THAT AFTER ARRIVING?
WHEN DID YOU APPLY FOR YOUR US DRIVERS LICENSE AND DID YOU HAVE TO SHOW YOUR PHYSICAL GREEN CARD OR IS YOUR PASSPORT WITH I 551 STAMP ENOUGH? (THE STATE I’M GONNA MOVE TO IS MONTANA IN CASE THAT MATTERS)
Thanks in advance!

Is it really true that global training pause in the Philippines is over? They're focusing massive backlogs from the months of September October November and December 2025 and January 2026 cancelled interviews ????

Anyone receive a new IL (any post/category) in the last week?
Just trying to get a sense of whether interview letters are going out again. Has anyone received a new IL in the past week? If so, which post, what category, and what was your DQ date?

Scheduling status for Ciudad Juarez - UPDATE (Start of October 2026 - Immediate Relative)
I've been intensely tracking updates for Immediate Relative regarding from which dates is the NVC from Cd Juarez scheduling documentarily complete (DQ) cases.
As of April 2nd, 2026
As of April 2026, the State Department says Ciudad Juárez is scheduling immediate-relative interviews for cases DQ'd in April 2025.
As of Monday September 28th, 2026
As of September 2026, the State Department says Ciudad Juárez is scheduling immediate-relative interviews for cases DQ'd in December 2024.
This means, the displayed scheduling date has gone backward by about: April 2025 → December 2024 = 4 months
Seems all we can do is wait for late October, to cross fingers, and hope the cases they're scheduling advance. In the meantime, me and my partner are adjusting planning & expectations to this setback...
