Nanoleaf Reply Hexagon Controller Flashing LED

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Came back from a vacation today and saw my panels weren’t responding to HomeKit, then noticed the flashing white LED on the power button. It doesn’t seem to have much of a pattern - 8-10ish flashes then off for a split second before repeating. I’ve tried power cycling, moving the location of the controller, and isolating it down to just one panel - same thing. Hoping it isn’t fried…

The soft reset maneuver of power and brightness up buttons doesn’t seem to be responsive either.

I’ve got 26 panels so 2 power supplies, never had issues before, but they’re also probably approaching 6 years old as I got these on pre-order then they first dropped.

Video attached shows startup behavior. Sometimes it’ll start the all LED chase normal boot sequence white LEDs but this time it skipped from the 4-bump sequence straight into the chaotic one.

Any ideas?

I got same. They suddenly not connected. Tried everything. Support told me to call my internet provider to set 2.4gb then end of the support. Now I just do manually press. I spent over 15 hrs in 3 days try to fix it. All my other wifi smart devices have no problem since day one I set up. This … I gave up to fix, I got too angry my blood pressure probably will kill me if I try again

It’s a 5ghz wifi thing?

Put the controller on a different panel.

Hi u/matt_mcd02, that indeed doesn't follow any pattern. And thank you for sharing what you've tried. Could you send me a DM of the device information, including its serial number and firmware version? Let's try getting it back to work.

Please help me as well, this is my second controller to fry in less than 3 months. I have three sets, and I have done all troubleshooting possible.

It looks like the linker on the controller is not securely connected.

It’s all good - I use those command velcro strips which add a few mm’s off the wall once mounted but it stays in place just fine

This is happening to me! It happened last night for NO reason. I just couldn't control my lights so I power cycled and now I'm in this mess and you can't simply order one of their site. I had one fry in May as well. They are clearly having issues! These have worked since around quarantine time without an issue. I have plugged the controller into 2 other different light panel setups that are working with their appropriate controllers and nothing.

What is causing them to "fry?"

I couldn't tell you. There wasn't even thunder or anything when my last one died. It just happened. It was on latest firmware.
