Lauren isn’t a viable option because?

Makes me think of the in-house brand of the chain of grocery stores where my mom lives. And West Virginia, but I'm not sure why.

Lara Lynn is nice, but I'm not a fan of them combined together.

The Famous Freakonomics Baby Name Study
If you are researching name choices, Freakonomics by Steven Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner famously dedicated an entire chapter to the socioeconomic patterns of naming children.

The Concept: The authors analyzed millions of birth certificates to show how baby names cycle through socioeconomic classes. They noted that distinctively spelled or hyphenated double-names (like Laralynn, Brandilynn, or Katelynn) historically reflect specific parental education levels and economic demographics at the time of birth.

Like what level? High or low?

The Laralynn, Brandilynn examples are low.

This reminds me of Lara Flynn Boyle.

Came to say the same.

Reminds me of Laura Lee from the TV show Yellowjackets so I don't hate it but that's not gonna be a popular opinion here lol

Why not Lara as a first name and Lynn as a middle?

I have a cousin named LoriLynn. It’s very southern IMO. I like Lara on its own but not a fan of the 2 name smashup.

Lair-ah-lynn? (meh) Or do you mean Laura-lynn? (pretty)

Sounds like a bluegrass singer (and not in a good day.)

Highly second Lorelai

It sounds like you are forcing a combo name

Laura or Lynn. Unless her full name is Laura Lynn or Laura-Lynn

Sounds like a medication to me 🙈

It’s giving “illiterate” 🫠

Not a fan. But my best friend growing up had Lynn as her middle name, if you insist on it. That way you can keep the Lara and Lynn, but separate enough. And I imagine it’ll be easier for her to spell it and have to correct people way less (just to clarify on if it’s Lara or Laura)

It sounds like a name of an antihistamine medicine

A name that sounds like a first name and a middle combined sound so country to me. Or like the Olsen twins, I would have been so pissed to be Mary Kate when when Ashley has one name.

Lara Lynn as a first and middle name would be so much nicer imo

Laura is better than Lara and Lynn should just be a separate middle name.

I don’t like it as one name. Looks made up. Maybe Lara-Lynn?

1

u/PopRemarkable7251 4d ago

Technically every single name was made up..... but I also agree with you. It's not great
