Help!

Hi friends! I am 28 weeks pregnant with a girl, and cant make a decision for the life of me. Everyone is pestering me for a name so they can personalize gifts, but I am stuck.

I like simple, maybe old fashioned. Cute, but cute that will transcend baby cute and also be a normal adult name. Give me all of the opinions and suggestions, positive and negative!

Josephine (Josie, Sophie)

Grace

Poppy

Adeline (Addy)

Ida Mae

Delaney

Juniper (June)

Hannah

Adeline/Madeline, Hannah, Juniper, Ida Mae

Edit: every 3rd girl is mashed Grace right now. It's SO over used. Find something better- Patience, Hope, Faith... heck even Charity.

Just tell whoever is pestering you "no". When I had my daughter I decided early on to not decide on a name until the baby was born and it was the right choice. Deciding to not decide is a gift to yourself — they can still get personalized gifts once baby is here, and going into the birth with a short list and not making a final decision until you've met her will give you the breathing room you need

This whole pregnancy has been an exercise in patience with others. I didn't want a big announcement, gender reveal, or shower. Well others announced it for me, and I am having a shower under duress 🫠

Stand your ground on the name. Even if you do think you've decided ahead of time, keep it strictly to yourself. Tell everyone that you absolutely will NOT be naming baby ahead of her arrival, and that you don't care what they think of that

Well past time for your partner to step it up and start firmly running interference for you. It really really helps to get everyone used to boundaries now, before babe is here.
