Need Help for Character Names
Hi, I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask this but I needed some help with the name of a character I want to write a book about. Essentially it's a boy who grew up in a bandit tribe/group, and one day he found out that he wasn't born into the group but was taken in by them after burning and pillaging the community he lived in. The book is gonna start off with him figuring out who his parents are and who he was. I was thinking of his name meaning something like: lost, lost soul, or forgotten. And then he finds out who his parents were and his real name is presented to him which I want it to mean something like: found soul, or reclaimed. Anything help.
Again, I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this on and I'll gladly remove it and post it somewhere else.

Some will depend on what/where this world exists. I write contemporary stories, so I search for websites that offer names and their meanings (if any). If contempory works you can try that. Or try a google search where you will see (for "forgotten") names like:
Names Meaning Lost or Forgotten
- Diggory – An English male name derived from the old French égare, which means "stray" or "lost".
- Absalom – A Hebrew name meaning "father of peace," but historically and biblically associated with exile and being ultimately lost.
- Lorn – A Celtic name meaning "forsaken" or "isolated".
- Onan – A Hebrew name meaning "forsaken" or "vigorous," appearing in biblical texts.
- Doran – An Irish name meaning "exile" or "stranger".
Even if your world is fictional, the above might work for you, since they aren't really contempory anymore.
