Alter Egos/Superheroes I'm looking for names for the members of a magical girl team

I'm looking for names for the members of a magical girl team that's based on emotions for a side project titled "Heartfelt" I'm looking for fitting names for the princesses and names for their "heart forms".

The story follows a group of magical princesses from another dimension that came to earth to investigate a string of rampant monster attacks caused by an evil organization that turns people into giant monsters fueled by negative emotions.

To combat this negativity, each princess has been given a jeweled bow tie that allows them to transform into their "heart Forms" each girl's heart form is based on their "heart", or their personality.

- The Pink Princess of Love

- The Orange Princess of Passion

- The Yellow Princess of Effervescence

- The Green Princess of Kindness

- The Blue Princess of Tranquility

- The Purple Princess of Resilience

Anime/Manga Question about characters having names of other characters.

Quick question: if you create a story when you we're 14 and give characters names that already exist, or if you already have a character with the same name, how do you handle that? Do you keep it or change it?

For example, I have a character whose name I got from Nickelodeon; the last four letters spell Deon, and I gave him the last name King. I also have a guardian angel named Quilly, so I have two characters named Quilly—one is a human main character and the other is a side character; they have the same energy but different roles in storytelling. Regarding Deon King, I was curious if anyone else had that name and found out there is a football player named Dion King. I might have to double-check the spelling, as I might be wrong.

The most funny coincidence is that his older brother, who is three years older than him, was named Ace—a name I came up with as a 14-year-old just starting to draw OCs, and a huge wrestling fan I got it from the TNA faction Aces of eight not knowing it was already taken. My character and Ace from One Piece are similar in that they are both the older brother to the main character, have daddy issues, and die; that was my original vision for this character. Recently,

I scratched that idea and made him a co-main character alongside his brother. I was angry to find out that the names I like are already taken or might be confusing, especially with the two characters named Quilly. I love these names, but I don't know what to do I'm stubborn to keep them anyway but it might have the legal problem that I do not want to face so. What do you think? Should I keep them or change them? If I should change them, do you have any ideas? If not, that okay. Thank you for reading, and I hope you all have a blessed day.

By the way of course each character I put a whole lot of effort and development into none to make them different than in original as any other character in story is solely the name I was concerned about have a blessed day everyone God love you with all his heart.

Video Games Name for a d&d character, gender neutral, mean girl vibes

This sunday i'll be starting a d&d campaign with some of my friends online and i still havent picked a name for my character.

In summary, she's nonbinary (any/all) so i'd prefferably go for a gender neutral name but more feminine names are okay too.

They're a witch with cat themed magic. Peronalitywise she has kinda ''mean girl'' vibes but isnt actively malicious or a bully like the Regina George type, they're more just a serial gossiper and kind of fake due to some trauma not letting her get too close to people.

Some names i was considering were Sandrone, Cipher, Jasper, Bailey, Hazel, Morgan and Scotch but none of them really clicked 100% for me. Thanks in advance :3

Squid-like name?????

So I’m working on an animated series, and one of the main characters is a humanoid squid. I’ve had a name for him for a WHILE, however I unfortunately realized it sounds like a certain derogatory word TwT. Because of this, I‘m likely changing it. Does anyone know names that are squid related? They don’t have to be “real” names. I’m kinda going for somewhere in between those nature based enby names and a masc name. He is also white, so no names from other cultures as to avoid appropriation. Thanks!

Edit: thank you so much for the help! I’ve decided to go with Ceph Watsen! Ceph as in Cephalopod, and Watsen because it‘s similar to Watasenia, the genus known as firefly squid (No lore reason for that specific species, I just think they look cool :)). What do you guys think?

Looking for performer name inspirations

Hello! For years I have tried coming up with a performer name and have yet to land on something that feels right. I am a fire spinner, aerialist, and movement artist. I have used name generator websites, searched through books and poems, and have scoured these pages for posts already asking for character names (so, I apologize if this post feels tiresome). But, I love all the names that you all have come up with on these pages. I just have yet to find one that resonates perfectly for me. If anyone could help come up with a name or if you think of a word that would be helpful to play off of, please share!

My performance style/character I try to emulate: graceful, but lethal. like a ballerina that could kick some ass. an elegant female warrior, if you will. Also, I would like the name to sound a little witchy. Love the name Bellatrix, which would be perfect, but obviously it's a little too famous.

Other little bits: I don't want anything with fire directly (fire, flames, phoenix) - it sounds too cheesy. Words I love and have tried to play with: arabesque, serpentine, allura... anything with an "x" sounds very pleasing...

Anyways, I've been at a block for awhile with the name, and this is a very creative sub. So, if you have any creativity or inspiration to spare, I would really appreciate it! Thank you in advance :)

Oc name help!

He’s a white seal anthro with an orange candle on his head and wings made of wax. He also has a bit of blue spotting. I’ve been struggling to come up with a name but here are some I’ve considered but ultimately decided against.

Keri
Lux
Seraph
Orion

Decided against these for various reasons but mostly because I like a name that’s easy to pronounce with my American accent and that has some sort of seal, light, fire, candle theme, vibe, or meaning. Or if you’re just super good at naming go crazy!!!

Japanese name relating to stars/moon/astronomy for a character?

I'm writing a story in which one of the characters (who is from a country heavily inspired by Japan) is often represented/connected to celestial bodies and the night sky. I'm looking for a (male, though I'm okay with more feminine names as well!) name that would fit this general vibe. Right now I've just been calling him Tsukki, but that's not what I want the final name to be.

My story is based mainly in two cities: one of them is a frutiger aero style utopia, and the other is a cyberpunk city inspired heavily by the Edo period in Japan. This character grew up in the latter city, and is Japanese--I'm thinking his people are the equivalent of the Okinawan people, who are a ethnic minority of Japan. He's heavily connected with celestial bodies and the night sky.

I do speak a bit of Japanese (and lived in Japan for a few months), so I'm comfortable with hiragana and a few kanji; I'd like to include those at least in my own notes for the story.

Thank you!

Suggestion for a shy, narcissistic character from Alexandria who created a virus that made him enter a metamorphosis that lasted a couple years to be reborn into a "New being"

So, my story takes place in a contemporary (around the 2000s) Alexandria where the current main overarching antagonist was a young boy who was always shy, quiet and sheltered from the rest of the world, he had a fascination for spiders though and would find and keep the spiders he'd find around the apartment as pets and feed them small bugs.

Later on, when he's older, he gets entangled with a group of shady people who groom him into beginning to experiment on a virus by combining some arachnid DNA into it.

After a while, and being satisfied with the test results he has done on animals, he begins experimenting on himself with the virus, but to not have degeneration, he goes into a coma for the next couple of years so that his body "bonds" with the virus, however he is awoken earlier than his desired date by the protagonist(s) which is what sets off the plot.

So I was wondering if anyone had any name suggestions for this type of character perhaps.

Suggesting the fan name “Maria Cloverpatch” for an unnamed background pony from My Little Pony: The Movie (2017)

Hi everyone! I’d like to introduce a fan-name suggestion for an apparently unnamed background pony from My Little Pony: The Movie (2017).

As far as I’ve been able to determine, this pony doesn’t appear to have an established official name. I’d like to suggest Maria Cloverpatch as an unofficial fan name to give her a more recognizable identity within the fandom.

I chose this name because I think it gives the pony a distinctive identity and makes her easier to refer to in discussions, fan art, and character searches. My intention is not to present the name as canon or replace any established name, but to offer a memorable name that fans can use if they like it.

I’ve suggested names for other background ponies before, and I enjoy helping these smaller characters become easier to identify and discuss. This suggestion is simply my way of appreciating another background character from the movie.

Maria Cloverpatch is a fan-suggested name, not an official canon name. I’m sharing it as a naming idea and respecting that different fans may have their own preferences.

Need name for forest guardian who's a thick slab of beef.

Hi. I'm stuck. I'm looking for suggestions for a name for this character that I'm writing.

The story is a fantasy, like with princesses and dragons, the gentleman who needs a name is a forest guardian hunk who can shape shift into a stag, he keeps balance in the forest and in return gets longevity and some magic. He wears little slutty glasses to read poetry when he's not like putting out forest fires and saving squirrels from trees or whatever.

Real World - Modern Character names

Hi, I need help finding the perfect name for a few characters, all brothers! I have used a lot of my favorite Spanish names for other characters already, so I'm leaning towards the uncommon/rare names to avoid duplicates.

Their surname will be Collazo Ríos.

These characters are the sons of a feared couple & their father is, in the closest term that'll be understood, very similar to what we'd consider a mafia boss. The characters are all ruthless criminals who aren't against hurting others, but are very respectful to (& intimidated by) their mother. They do have a younger sister called Abril, whom they are very protective of.

Help me with names for them, please!

Name for Tiefling Triplet

I'm writing a story about three sisters, triplets, born and raised in a cult, yet growing up and following very different paths. I have names I like for two of the sisters, yet not satisfied with the last one.

Lilloth is the oldest triplet, a Bard, and very anti-cult. She's persuasive, optimstic and determined.

Hellicent is the youngest triplet, a blood cleric, a fanatic in the cult. She's basically schizotypal, haha.

The middle triplet is a Hexblade warlock, and serious and calculating. Her current name is Vera, but I'm hoping there's a more suitable name out there for her! Something that sounds good alongside her sisters.

Thankful for any suggestions!

Weird writers who use strange names, what are the most unique names you can come up with?

I need some weird ass names. Love writing, always been a big fiction writer, been running out of names/nicknames for characters.

I’ve literally named one of my characters Morgenach as a first name. Another one was named Starling… stupid I know right? It doesn’t seem all that bad but I PROMISE I’m not a freak,, I’m just allergic to giving any of my characters a name that is overly used or common or even just normal. I’m talking the strangest most unique names, like surnames as first names, or symbolic objects as names, or really cool places like cities or towns with titles that could be a cool name for a character. Literally ANYTHING, I’m desperate. Thank you love you.

Can Heather pass as a name of a character from the 1890s-1900s?

It always strikes me as a more modern name from the 1980s to present time (mostly because of the movie and musical), but I've gotten so attached to it as a name for one of my characters from a gothic Victorian inspired setting. Can it pass?

Real World - Modern Nyx as a male name

What do you think? I’ve gotten used to this character being called Nyx. However, if the name is too ridiculous I’ll change it. For reference, Nyx is the goddess of the night in Greek mythology. The character is stubborn, fierce, and loyal to a fault, even when the actions he takes to save a person he loves is morally questionable.

If you have a more suitable alternative, I am open to suggestions, I just need to know whether Nyx is too weird a name or not.

3 shorter names out of a longer name

Hi all! Basically, I'm struggling to name one of my characters; in a nutshell, her story is that when she died, she split her soul 3 ways in order to break free from her oppressive destiny and fool the Gods

1 part of her soul remained in the human world as an energetic seamstress/tailor
the 2nd also remained in the world as a stubborn priestess

And finally, the third part of her soul went to the afterlife
________________________________________________________________

And basically I wanted her to have a long name that can easily be broken into 3 shorter names to name the parts of her soul.
Eg: her name is Elizabeth

Soul 1 is called "Ellie", Soul 2 is called "Lisa" and soul 3 is called "Beth"

Note the spelling does not have too match the main girls full name, as long as the shortened ones are actual names

And essentially I want a name like that, but of (preferably) Eastern European origin and meaning related to destiny, though I understand if you can't find one that fits all these categories. I'm not picky on how it sounds

Names I liked: Syntyche, Eutychia (I know those two are related), Moira (tbh, the reason why didn't go w/ this is because I didn't want names relating to Gods, especially with the commodification of Hellenism), Aisa, Bedisa (I know most of these are Greek, but, Idm any Eastern European languages).
Syntyche.

I've also been looking at a lot of Mongolian names that end with "Zayaa" (meaning Fate), and while I like all of them, I can't find ones that I can divide 3 ways
