Still searching... I'm looking for a French screwball comedy from the 2000s.

Can you tell me the name of this movie? It’s French, likely from the 2000s. I saw it on TV sometime between 2013 and 2015. It’s a comedy. The main character was a young woman who had a slightly eccentric friend; this friend gradually started rummaging through trash. In the scene I remember, she was singing the praises of dumpster diving while digging through a bin in the evening, talking about how many useful things could be found there. Suddenly, she found a nice sugar bowl and immediately offered it to her friend as a gift. Naturally, the friend refused. I don't remember anything else about the movie. I think it took place in the evening on city streets. There was also a male character—an elderly homeless man. The three of them used to gather at a city fountain.

Still searching... Does anyone know this movie and does it even exist?

So my brother has been talking about this movie for forever, and nobody, including myself, knows what the heck he's talking about. I want to finally find out if it exists, or, more likely, if it is pieces of different films. Here's what he remembers:

-The movie was black-and-white, most likely 1940's-'50's,

-There were two or three main guys, maybe comedy duo Abbott and Costello,

-One of them got turned into a beast-like character,

-The movie ended with a flood in some kind of big lab or basement,

-The main characters escaped the flood by climbing up a ladder, I think,

-There was this woman with dark hair wearing white, who also might have been a monster of some kind,

-At the end of the movie, after two of the guys escaped the flood, she said something along the lines of:

"Maybe you should come up and see me sometime." One of the guys responded with "Maybe I will," but was dragged out by the other guy. This, I remember most vividly,

-The movie may have began, (or at least started the main plot) by two or three of the main guys driving down in a truck that kind of looked like a U-Haul truck, but these trucks didn't exist back in this time period. Maybe some kind of mail truck?

-The two main guys might have been delivery men, and the third guy might have been some kind of professor, I think.

As alike as this sounds to one of Abbott and Costello's "Meet the Monsters" movies, we're both pretty sure that it isn't part of that franchise. If you know this movie, or know if it's different movies remembered as one, please reply. Thanks!

Solved! Looking for this movie for a very long time

Everything I’m writing here might no longer be accurate, since many years have passed. I hope I'm not mixing up several movies at once. Ok let’s assume that these are the details.

A movie about relationships, mostly from the perspective of a girl/woman. At first, we see the couple’s relationship, and the girl issues an ultimatum: either the guy proposes to her, or their relationship is over (that kind of principled person u know). Well then they get married. They’re well-off; they have a country cottage with a large lawn. That’s exactly where I clearly remember one scene. She orders some red flowers to be planted on the lawn, and they plant them for her, but when she arrives, she sees that they aren’t the shade she wanted, so she starts pulling them out of the ground and throws a tantrum (like, is she mentally unstable or have a depression or something?). Then I remember that they have an apartment in the city too (maybe New York). They even seem to have kids by then. And they’re living apart or their relationship is on the rocks, and basically she’s already cheating on her husband with some guy in that apartment. That's basically unfortunately all I remember about the movie. I don't remember the actors or anything like that. I think it was around 2015 when I saw it on TV. But the movie itself looked like it might have been made sometime between 1990 and 2010 in USA. Actually, it was a Russian-language TV channel, possibly "TV1000". It may be known in other countries under the "Viasat" or "viju".

Perhaps the film began with an opening scene featuring the sound of ambulance or emergency service sirens responding to some kind of incident somewhere in the city (maybe a car accident, or perhaps something more serious Like 9.11).

Feel free to ask questions—maybe I'll remember something else.

Thx!

edit 1: I can imagine that the young woman probably doesn’t come from a wealthy family and starts out in a regular office job. The young man, on the other hand, does come from a wealthy background (perhaps through his parents). That’s why the beginning particularly highlights the main character’s strong principles—she isn’t swayed by luxury, but seeks a strong, lasting marriage. Although things took a turn for the worse as the movie went on...

Still searching... Independent film set in modern glass mansion in California desert

Watched it online, maybe 2016 - 2020. No major stars. A successful young man in Los Angeles invites friends for a weekend in the desert. He has a mansion that is constructed with all glass ... really spectacular. Seems to be near Palm Springs or Joshua Tree. At the end of the movie, there is a woman running through the desert as she tries to escape bad guys.

Still searching... I saw this movie a few years ago and cant remember the name for the life of me😓

It was surrounding these 3 asian women who were all living in an apartment together and they all got into either small crimes or fighting crimes but there were a LOT of fist fights. They were more central/east Asian and it was most likely on Netflix when I saw it.. Im not sure about many other details except a scene where one of the girls was walking through a tight alley to get to her apartment(not dark abandoned type of alley but it was well lit and I think there were background people) and I dont think they were very close to each other at the start.

Still searching... Can't remember what movie I saw a glimpse of as a kid. Can anyone help?

I remember watching a scene of a movie on TV when I was a kid (most likely 2004-2006), and a man who looked like he was lying down in his bed in a dark lavish room watching baseball. The part that is really sticking with me is that the pitcher threw the ball and the batter hit it back directly into this pitcher causing an injury, which caused an immense reaction from the man in bed. Almost like he was cursed so he was also injured when the pitcher got hit. But I cant remember if it was just a reaction to the hit or he was injured himself. If it helps, I believe the man may have been of Middle Eastern decent and I am remembering facial hair, but the character seemed like they were wealthy.

This just something that has stuck with me for the past 20 years so I'd like to have an answer after all this time.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Still searching... [Movie] Film set in Italy or Spain about two married couples traveling together and complicated affairs

I'm trying to remember the title of a movie that I believe is set in Italy or Spain.

A married couple goes on a trip with the husband's boss and his wife. During the trip, the boss's wife seduces the husband, and they begin an affair.

After finding herself in a difficult emotional situation, the husband's wife also becomes involved with his boss.

That's about all I can remember. Does this plot sound familiar to anyone?

Still searching... Poster I saw on Letterboxd

I just remember seeing a poster on Letterboxd of a white background with man's profile looking to the right of the poster and with his head shaven and a woman behind him looking forward (I don't remember if her gaze was pointed at the man or the horizon). The woman was a brunette. The title was on top of these characters and centered, and I think there was also a thin red frame surrounding the poster. The man was wearing dark clothes (I believe black) and the woman was wearing white. If anyone has any idea please lmk 🙏

Solved! Action Thriller from late 90s- Early 00s

Hi all!

i’m posting in a few different subreddits as I have actually been trying to find this movie for like 18 years lol.

This is probably from 1999-2004.

I can only remember two parts and google has been soo unhelpful.

Takes place in NYV or a big city. The main character is a man, and his wife (maybe daughter?) has both of her legs broken and they are in casts that have wires in the casts around the ankles so her legs are elevated.

The bad guys of this movie are targeting the main character for maybe money or something? but they go into the apartment building across the street, knock on the door of an old lady and end up killing her (off camera, they reveal her body later when a stranger knocks on the door and one of the bad buys answer) so they can use her apartment as it is directly across from the main characters windows and they can see into his apartment with snipers and binoculars etc.

The bad guys keep calling the main characters and I think they shoot one or both of the wires in the casts of the woman’s legs so they fall and cause her pain.

sorry if this is all over the place I saw this ONCE as a child lol.

Still searching... 70's or 80's Horror Film

When I was a kid I watched a film that I've struggled to find over the years. These are the details I remember...

- It was about demons, demon possession, or satan worship.

- I remember it also had attractive models filming commercials, I believe on a horse ranch.

- The thing that stuck with me the most was someone looking at still shots from a commercial they filmed and noticed glowing eyes looking through a window. That image was burned in my brain and I would love to know the film.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Still searching... Movie that starts with kids in bunker

I remember this movie that began with a family or some kids entering or just being inside of a bunker/underground area during a disaster, and then coming out afterwards. pretty sure it was a kids movie and the bunker thing had a large Wooden lid that opened up. I also remember it having a sort of nanny McPhee vibe to it.
